How would you make spirit feel more like a ghost
Title
(not my idea). This idea I really love because I think it would make spirit feel more like a ghost while giving her counterplay. So this idea is have her become a dim shadow on the ground when she is phasing. This wouldn't affect her strength to much while giving her counterplay to only skilled and attentive survivors. And it would make her feel so much more like a ghost. Remember this is not a how would you nerf her but how would you make her feel more like a ghost.

Ah yes, because ghosts are famously known for casting shadows.

i'm just saying this would make her feel more like a ghost. if not a ghost then at least more creepy

Tbh I would just be up for a Phantom killer
There are different types of spirits and ghosts which some are nearly impossible to beat.

Walk through walls, she'd need a hell of a nurf in response though.

You mean besides being removed from the game?

I would be down with this as long as it doesn’t give survivors too much information.

Better sound effects would easily go a long way. There's nothing spooky about a vacuum cleaner.

and getting rid of the wah. there's nothing spooky about Waluigi.

We shouldnt change spirit but maybe add a killer that can move through the shadows. I know there is a superhero from the 1920s that batman is sorta based on that was like that if i remember right

Delete her from the game and make her an actual Ghost of DBD since she'll only exist in memories.

- Float or glide
- Semi-transparent
- No angry expressions, just sad / empty ones (I know she's all about vengeance but she's a spirit, not a poltergeist, spirits are often considered woeful and lost as opposed to angry).
- Take away the screechy "GRAH!" and other humanlike utterances. It makes her seem more monstrous than otherworldly. Her high-pitched sighing, which you hear on the menu screen, is perfect and in my opinion the only noise she should make.
Other than that I think she's quite well done.

Would love this change. It'll give her counterplay because survivors will see where she is. Good Spirit players will be fine with this change.

Put a bedsheet over her head

If anything, I just think of Old Freddy. People hate going against a killer that can hit them when they can't see them. Maybe Spirit should just be able to go into a "spirit realm" where she somehow can bring certain survivors into the realm that can't see her when she's in the real realm, and vice versa. Also when she's in the spirit realm, as per usual, survivors wouldn't be able to see her.
So - Physical realm: can't see or hit survivors in the spirit realm, but can hear them, same effects for survivor on Spirit.
Spirit realm: can't see or hit survivors in the real world, but can hear them, same effects for survivor on Spirit.
Pretty much an old Freddy, if Freddy could take himself out of the dream state and hit survivors. Then maybe Spirit could like, break up the team and cause confusion between the survivors as to where she might actually be? Maybe have two survivors in the spirit realm running around scared while she has two people in the physical realm that she's actually chasing, being unable to be seen by the ones in the spirit realm.

Give her a sheet cosmetic ;) lol.
In all seriousness, make her phase in and out while walking instead, make her more and more transparent then slowly come back to full solidity. It would add to the spookiness of her.

Deleting her from the game. She would be a real ghost then!

The spirit became a killer thanks to her immense rage and hatred towards her dad. Without the angry faces she would lose a bit of her lore identity.

Make lights flicker when she phases. Same thing when Nurse blinks.
I know it's unrealistic to hope for, but it would be awesome.

You're not wrong, I just think that a more sorrowful demeanor would make her feel more ghostly. Wandering spirits aren't typically associated with anger, they long for their life and / or loved ones, etc. The belligerent, vengeful spirit is the poltergeist which she doesn't quite fit.
I mean it's subjective, there's no reason why she can't be exactly how she is. I like the character a lot. I was just listing things that I feel would make her seem more like a ghost, a classic spirit.
Ooh, why didn't I think of this? The approaching presence of the most frightening creature in Monstrum can only be identified by the lights flickering when he's near. That really drills home the tension.

new ability poltergeist. She is able to go into phase mode and can only interact with undropped pallets and can drop pallets on survivor to stun them while in phase mode, give her a ultimate aoe ability that can lift survivors and suspend them in The air for like 2 seconds the ability will be easy to avoid and will survivor cannot take damage while in the air. It’s more of a crowd control

reverse her power completely. Make invisible and blind her normal state and the player phases to visible for limited amounts of time.

So she's the reason he aint in smash

Breathing bug and footstep bug.
No, really. On top of making her more bearable to verse, it's very thematically appropriate. You hear her moaning and see foliage moving and footsteps approaching, but you can't see her
It's creepy af and I love it.
