These zombies need collision removed once they've hit you.
SO. Tommson house. Top floor. Your doing a gen and you dont notice a zombies coming. Heart beat starts. You get off the gen hide around the cornor at the window where you can drop down the hole and get away. Zombie comes through the door. AROUND the cornor of the top floor. Then neme. Ik terrible timing my fault. Zombie spots me and the killer sees me because of it. Then the zombie body blocks the window and the killer comes through the window. I try to move past the zombie, but i get hit. So you'd think collisions gone. Nope. Zombie hits me again. Then neme. Why didnt they remove it.

Wait.. they don't?
Well that's a big no no.

No and i just found that out the hard way.

Yeah, this was my biggest zombie complaint on the PTB and I'm surprised they haven't done anything about it. A zombie blocking a doorway in a chase, or a zombie wandering down the basement stairs or through the doorway of a closed-off room or gen, is instant death. You can't tank a hit because you can't bypass them. Nothing else in the game behaves like this - it feels like an oversight.

Yeah, I'm surprised that wasn't added from the PTB.

i agree strongly with this

Disagree. Don't get cornered. Pay attention. use your eyes and ears.

But what if he’s in a doorway on lery’s and nemesis is behind you?
1 -
Well, I think most will agree here and some won't but that's actually besides the point, I think. This seems like an oversight from the Devs and will probably be removed at some point when they figured out how to do it without breaking something else.
Thanks for that though. Now I know I have to look out for that.

Ah, sorry I didnt use my Xray eyes to see through the walls and notice the zombie walking to block off the doorway 🤧

This happened with me, once on the PTB. Instant death.

They really should remove the collision onfe you get hit. But its BHVR.

Yeah, it’s extremely silly that they can bodyblock you for three health states.
2 -
oof..thats rough.

Then you messed up and deserve to go down, which goes back to what i said: Don't get cornered. pay attention to something other than 'do i hear a heartbeat?'. Adapt to there being hazards aside from the Killer. If zombies get nerfed any more it'll just lead to BHVR assuming people don't like interactive elements and we'll never get anything interesting again.

I’m not going to hear a zombie over his chase music plus the map is so enclosed that sometimes you have to take a route with a zombie. This means you’ll be killed immediately all because nemesis got lucky

So zombies working as intended.
Thanks for confirming that.

They shouldn’t give you a free down when a free hit is already enough. Anyway why would these be the only damaging attack to not give no collision?
0 -
I would be okay with them doing that if it was a damaging hit, and not an infection hit.
0 -
They didn't touch it because otherwise it might've made the game implode, considering the broken update we've already got.

It's not free. It does nothing if you aren't infected and if you are then either Nemesis or they already hit you once with a no-damage hit. Three hit downs are not unreasonable, especially when you got yourself stuck in a bad spot due to lack of map awareness. You're not changing my mind on this one; git gud.

Alright, I guess I'll just never do corner room gens, enter rooms with one entrance, get hooked in the basement, or play on indoor maps then.
It does everything if you aren't infected, because you can't get away from the zombie. It doesn't matter what health state you're at; it will keep hitting you until you're downed. There is zero reason for them to maintain collision when hit; no other damaging entity in this game behaves like this. Like, I'd be game for them keeping collision if Nemesis hits you to allow for tag teams, but zombies keeping collision when they hit you is bullshit.
The radius of their moans is nearly irrelevant when in a chase, as your location is changing too fast to react to a periodic sound cue that may not even play during the brief interval you're close enough to hear it. As it is, in a chase with Nemesis, if you turn a corner to run through a room/hallway and find the only other exit is blocked by a zombie, your best bet is to turn around and run straight back into Nemesis, because in practice, it's less dangerous to take a hit from the hulking, nigh-indestructible bioweapon than it is from a basic-######### type zombie.
Don't get me wrong, I love the crazy ######### that Nemesis can get up to with the zombies; the chase one-twos, the DS/wiggle off hard counter, the gens that take 30s longer to complete because the survivor had to play ring around the rosie. And I wish their AI was better so that they'd be more reliable aids for the killer. But the perpetual bodyblocking doesn't make sense to me.
