Reason of High Kill Rates?

A combination of everything, my take on this is that there's multiple borders that a player needs to cross to have the minimal chance of having a fair match.
A - Problems with matchmaking:
1 - You have to be lucky enough to be matched with 3 other players that are around the same skill level which is something that rarely happens.
2 - You have to be matched with people who are willing to play the game, basically people who will not go AFK, disconnect or troll during the whole match.
B - Problems with how the game works:
1 - This is supposed to be a team based game without the tools to act as a team (at least for solo queue) you are supposed to perform a very specific task (lets remember that the game is just not about repairing generators but knowing which ones to repair otherwise you end up 3 gen'd and will most likely lose) you are supposed to do this very specific task on solo queue basically with a team that's blind, deaf and mute since there is no communication between players, this is why SWF are so powerful compared to solo.
2 - At the same time the game is about efficiency (basically knowing when to stay/leave a generator) that's a problem for solo queue survivors as most of them don't know if another survivor is being chased or camped which leads to lots of players wasting time (again part of the problem being no communication) sometimes you can see that a survivor is repairing a generator and leaves it to try to unhook someone else (despite the fact that the hooked person can be very far away) simply to arrive at the hook and realize there's already another player unhooking the survivor, this simple action took away 3 survivors from doing generators when 1 could have finished a generator if the survivor repairing the generator knew someone else was already going to unhook, this problem is again due to having to work as a team without the tools to actually work as a team.

Rather than saying it is because of bad survivors or killers it's just that the average skill of the playerbase isn't very high which leads to killers getting those high kill rates. Killers have lower skill floor than survivors but higher skill ceiling.
In addition to this the killer only has to rely on him/herself and no one else, which is both good and bad, when it comes to the stress you feel in game, where as one bad survivor can throw the game for the survivors by giving the killer snowball potential at the wrong time, which can be hard to recover from.

I don't see how this would apply in any way.
am I wrong in what I said?

They do.

Survivors are not motivated to get better at the game, because no one cares if they played poorly, while killers get teabagged and trash talked and then learn to play better to avoid that or get revenge.
Also it’s harder for survivors to learn how to counter specific killers because they don’t control what killers they verse, while killer players can play a day or two with a certain killer only and learn their ability better.
2 -
Excessive altruism has gotten me more kills than absolutely anything else over the years. Most Survivors will go to insane lengths to save someone from dying and I thank them for the free kills and BP.
1 -
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 man this is gold...sluzzy do you ever play killer? And you are a red rank 1 survivor🤯
2 -
Why summon a great evil
2 -
This is true. Used to get so many more before. Not too many even attempting it these days.

Did I miss something, what stats are you referencing. Is it something that is recent or something from months back?
0 -
Overconfident survivors lingering on gens and engaging in needless chases.

- Alcohol - perhaps the most underestimated reason in survivors poor decision making. Just like driving while drunk, looping while drunk can end in not only your death, but the deaths of those around you.
- Lack of a strategic understanding of which gens to do first and which ones to wait on.
- Lack of understanding on how to loop different types of killers.
- Teammates who open exits when they shouldn’t.
- Teammates who let you die on your first hook because they are screwing around.
Thats just a handful off the top of my head. It’s casual players mixed with good players.
1 -
Probably the 2019 stats unless we have recent one i did not see because i dont have social media
0 -
the thing is they dont use DC games to calculate killrates. Suicides? Yes.
All the games where the killer wipes the floor after the first survivor DCs dont add to the already high kill rate.
1 -
I think its because survivors are dying
0 -
I mean, the game has been catered to killers for the past few months, this doesn’t surprise me.
1 -
Its not that survivors are bad, its that everybody is bad. The average solo queue survivors don't seem to do gens and don't understand when and how to make hook saves. Meanwhile, your average killers have so little confidence in their ability to chase or defend generator that they tunnel by default. And because survivors can't make clean saves, they have plenty of opportunites to tunnel.

It's because she had one set of two really unfair addons that arguably pit her in a tier

Solo ques make the majority of the player base (solo que is miserable)
Killers can play scumy and get easy 4ks if survivors aren't coordinated ( refer to previous)
The game is initially killer sided ( until a 4 man swift filled with meta perks and a map happen)
And biggest of all is probably the large influx if new players over the past year getting boned by all of the above

I do feel peoples opinions involving killer strength involves a great amount of group think. A few popular youtubers proclaim who the strongest killers are and all of a sudden all of their disciples on the the various forums parrot this as the iron clad general consensus. It is literally impossible to have a conversation with such people using facts, evidence and statistics. Some people go into a cult rage of personal attacks if you say the nurse overall isn't really that great of a killer. There was a $25,000 tournament in Japan and a very popular streamer saw that they chose the pig they literally burst out laughing. Everyone else on the stream was like, "OMG why choose the pig. That killer is so foolish." Of course the pig is an excellent choice and is an extremely powerful killer in the game. But nobody would know this listening to the consensus, or watching most celebrity DBD television.

Sluzzy is Nurse main lol
1 -
Yeah, she has a really strong combo, but I don't think this is enough to make her kill rates skyrocket.

Piggies usually attempt to mutilate my face when I attempt to boop their snoot. So now I just avoid them and blend into the bushes.
1 -
Some of my sister Amanda Pandas can be, umm... a little high spirited.
1 -
Because Solo Q teammates are too casual
0 -
But ... but ... survivors are just all bad and killers are god-like, doesn't it explain everything, no?
0 -
Yeah I can confirm this to be true
0 -
Freddy and Pig are my two mains, so I guess I'm a double demon. Are Freddy players now rare at red ranks? I don't play enough survivor to get to red ranks, but I thought statistically he was one of the most picked killers?
0 -
First hooks and dc play a bigger part than you expect. Someone kills themselves on first hook and the killer doesn't want to play nice pretty much guarantees a 4k
0 -
This game is not killerside. Just look last update.
Nemesis Zombies nerfed. Demo nerfed. Franklin nerfed. And you are saying this game killerside?
0 -
Solo que.

Players who main an underplayed killer tend to be very good at the game & at their killers and will push the kill rates higher than it should be.
An example is Billy or Pig
Now add SoloQ & Matchmaking being a mess in the mix.
There's also the fact that survivors kill themselves on hook.
1 -
This. Game is in a weird state right now where the game is no longer balanced for solos but SWF still turns it into a joke.
1 -
Survivors suicide on hook
2 -
Both of these. Killers are packing for sweaty swfs so they win against solos easier and survs like to quit if the game isn't going in their favor. One survivor quitting early enough means the killer is most likely going to 4k
1 -
Because after all the gens are done and the exits are open, if a killer manages to get just 1 hook; the other 3 will often throw their lives away trying to get that 4th person out as well, rather than just leaving :)
2 -
Killers are try harder.
That's about it.
0 -
Bad survivors. Like there are red rank survivors that have no idea of loops/tiles, some of them even miss skill checks and cant look behind them... pairing that with a somewhat decent killer has an obvious outcome lol
1 -
Number of reasons:
- At low ranks killers get 4ks quite easily which is where the majority of the player base is.
- A good killer (the person playing the killer) will beat most teams no matter who they're playing.
- Noed. Literally last night had a Huntress who got 0 hooks the whole game get a 4k because of noed.
- Camping/Tunnelling. Usually a bad killer game will result in some sort of camping/tunnelling which will get at least 1 kill but usually more because of altruistic survivors.
Feel like these are the main reasons. Killer isn't op, it's just that most of the player base is bad at the game.
1 -
I have so many questions for how a Huntress a 110% killer whose power doesn't get effected by NOED managed to get a 4k from NOED.
2 -
Basically:
- Her camping a slugged body.
- Me being drunk wanting a flashlight save.
- My mate using unbreakable in her face (he was also drinking)
- Random not saving anyone while they were on the ground and instead just hid around the area without looking for noed.
- Area we were in was a dead zone.
- Add-on that increases her movement speed while out of hatchets (until she reloaded and downed me).
Does this about cover it lol

They've been rare. Not as rare as a demigorgon but still rare. Most of the time in red ranks survivor you see 1 freddy, and then queue into another game, then get the same damn freddy. Freddy players are like finding a Xiaoyu in Tekken ranked, and then getting them in the same lobby match after match. I would wager while Freddy mains are rare, they're commited and will play like 20 games per session.
