That's a nerf. It reduces the power of the thing.
What I want to prevent is survivors ignoring mechanics and then getting those mechanics nerfed because they complain they got hit by easily-preventable stuff.

That is weird. I never use it so maybe that is why I never hear about it.
And when I play survivor, it is easily predicted by how the killer plays if they are likely to have it. And, IMO, no big deal to counter.
But, there are so many ######### survivors anymore

Than thats their problem. Can´t complain about NOED, when survivors are to lazy to do bones. We have 3 totem detection perks that make it really easy to hunt down every single totem and even without them, the totem spawns are so horrible, like next to a gen, next to survivor spawn points, on top of a hill, etc.

If you are to literally use any perk that detects totems you can counter NOeD, how hard is that to understand?

You don't even need perks, just equip a map or learn the (obvious) spawns. They're really quite obvious, IMO, except those out in the middle of the corn fields.

What is the [Bad WOrd] problem to do [Bad word] Bones? You have much perks and maps against it - and you can learn the totemspots ... like every Totemperk it can be cleansed .. so NO .. Noed dont need a nerf. Lazyness is not a reason

If 4 survivors are alive when the last gen pops the chances of you getting more than 1 are pretty slim. So the skill with noed is not having more than 2 survivors alive when it pops. Only then is noed truly deadly. Pair it with bloid warden and youre playing the entire match with 2 perks. So if im able to get rid of 1 or 2 survivors befire the last gen pops, i dont see the problem.
Also sppok n jukes made an awesome video in defense of the perk, it was such a good argument i dusted noed off and started playing with it and am not the slightest bit sorry. Essentially, as long as exhaustion perks noed is balanced.

Yes survivor have exhaustion perks, four people using one of these makes Noed fair. Or not really since you can cleanse all totems and get rid of it so Noed should rather be buffed than nerfed. Also it's good to have a perk that might hinder gen rushing somewhat. Even as survivor it's not fun when gens go that fast and game is over within minutes.

Survivors second chance perks: Unbreakeble, Borrow Time, DS, Adrenaline, Dead Hard, etc.
Killers second chance perks: Noed.

I meant with perfect the powerlevel of the perk, for losing a gen having a pretty high chance of a hit is a good trade off imo. Compared to noed where you have to do literally nothing and get a pretty easy Kill.

Dead hard for distance isn't impactful? A single dead hard for distance gets you to a pallet you shouldn't have, extends the chase by at least another 25 seconds if you just hold w and if it happens in the first chase basically guarantees you lose 3 gens.
Noed is a terrible perk and people shouldn't use it anyway. But at the highest level play where camping and tunneling is required, you gotta give the killers something.

I do them quite efficiently. Back when Undying Ruin was still a thing, i did 5 hex totems alone, while my team took turns on the hook.

Yes as long as your team can occupy the killer, imagine that if you play alone and the Killer comes every few min to you :). Idk what that argument of yours is but I can also play Legion and say well it is sooo easy to Injure survivors as Killer, Killer is way too easy lululul.

I´m playing solo only. My teammates simply farmed each other off the hook instead of doing gens or anything else.
Point is, totems are not hard to do and not hard to find.

Never said they are hard but you simply cant really always do all 5 totems, for example my last game a few min ago. I got tunneled for 4 gens, so in that situation I couldnt do any since I was busy the entire time. Again not saying it is Hard or impossible, but some games just doesnt give you a chance to do them.

Don't out in the title that you're a killer main, cause that doesn't make you really believable with your complaint.
Even though i agree that noed is a bad perk, as a survivor main you should know by now how to find totems if you get irritated by it.
There are multiple perks to help you with it if you can't memorize the spawns (nothing wrong with that), or bring a map and go hunting.
As a solo survivor noed activates very rarely.
Why?
Because i actually search for the totems,and many times my teammates as well.
You can always tell if someone is running noed by their playstyle, which should hint you and your team to look for the totems 😉

When playing a survivor against a good killer cleansing totems tends to get in the way. Against a good killer you need to apply pressure by working on gens. Having to spend valuable time cleansing totems for the chance to take NOED out of play would be a good play but as the survivor you have to way of knowing the killer is running NOED. If the killer doesn't then that's just wasted time that could lose the game for you. Any kills the NOED killer would get are unfair and unearned.
On the other side of that coin are survivor second chance perks. On one survivor it's annoying but a team of 4 friends on comms with full second chance perk builds it's beyond ridiculous. Honestly, I feel second chance perks should be limited to only one per survivor. One can run DS, the other Adrenaline, the other Unbreakable...you get the idea.
I get both sides of this but it all falls on the devs. I'm not trying to put them down but it really does fall on them. As the developers of the game they need to take balance into account and I feel like they just added perks to sell more dlc. They need a new survivor and a new killer so let's just add these perks and it'll be good. They cake imbalance on top of imbalance with every new dlc and we as the players argue among ourselves because it.
These issues are probably not even the devs either but those above the devs calling the shots.
This game is so unbalanced it's stupid.

Agreed. It’s a busted perk that rewards killers who have not earned it. I only see it on green and purple ranks mostly, but it doesn’t push killers to get better skill wise. It needs to go.

Do it then. With new maps and totem locations, you can barely find one. I use inner strength and struggle to get one heal from totems.

If you see a facecamper or tunneler ignoring gens, you should know he will use noed. And you can see them in red ranks. But killers think noed is not a problem

Killers don't need second chances, and it's really difficult to design them in a meaningful way (Blood warden, unrelenting, and no way out are the closest you'll get). It's a lot easier to design second chance perks for survivors, just by the nature of their basekit, and the second chance part usually takes a backseat to a primary function.

I don't like NOED either but a DS-style nerf to NOED is too harsh. We need rebalancing, not nerfing things into the ground for no apparent reason.
