Resident Evil Skins DLC $$$
Two things with the new Resident Evil skins DLC. We already paid $12 for Jill, Leon and Nemesis. That equates each character to approximately $4 each which is a fair price if not a good value.
My two favorite RE characters are Jill and Chris so imagine my surprise when I see Chris is available as a Leon skin. I was pretty excited... then I saw the price.
Chris is basically $15; more than the entire RE base DLC and about 3.5x that of the other characters as outlined above. That's insanely expensive for a single character.
Had he been set at the $10 mark, it'd still be expensive but I'd be far more tempted to pull the trigger on buying him. Are there plans for a sale or rethinking the cost of these skins?
Secondly, if the skins eventually become more reasonably priced, are there plans to also release Jill's S.T.A.R.S. outfit from the first game?
Thanks for reading.

Skins being rather expensive allows for DLCs to be cheaper. And it also allows that original Characters (=BHVRs own creations) can be available for Shards so you can get them basically for free (or at least you dont have to spend money on them).
And I prefer cheap DLCs over cheap Cosmetics.
When it comes to Legendary Skins (like the Chris Redfield-Skin), they cost more because they are a separate Character, but without any more Perks. At least they start to give actual value for the extra-money you pay, because they have a different Voice Actor, a different picture in the Trial and their name changes in the Lobby.
Which is alright for around 5 Euros/Dollar extra IMO.

$5 extra? I wish. It's an extra $15 for Chris. If it was $5 to buy him, this thread wouldn't exist.

5$ extra because it is a Legendary Skin (aka other Character).
Usually, Skins cost around 10$/10€.

It's not really a character, it's just a skin. The Minotaur skin has been the same freaking price and people (myself included) love it. Still just the Oni though

DBD is quite reasonable with their monetization. They release a lot of original chapters wich can be gained for free (grinded out) and even the irl money prices are fairly low on thier DLCs.
That's why the skins are kind of overpriced, they exist for people who care about the looks and are willing to pay for them.
I personally think it's pretty fair way of handling things. The only problem I have with it is that legendary skins need to have a lot of effort put into them (new voice actors, some new animations, portraits etc) which they've lately gotten better at but for 15$ they really need to push the quality to the absolute highest level to warrant the prize.

It's still ok, I play mobile games that charge you up to $50 for a skin for a single character on a game that has a roster of 80+ characters.

As Chris Redfield is my favorite character in the RE series and one of my favorite for gaming in general, learning that it's more than a mere skin with a different voice helped push the idea of $15 for him.
Bit the bullet and considered the RE base pack with Chris as a $27 DLC. I got the game free with PS Plus as well so supporting a game I've gotten tons of time into is fair as well.
