How's Everyone's Pride?!
So I hope everyone's having a great pride month! Wish there was bonus XP or some fun thing in the blood wed for it like pride flag offering or something! Or when the killer tries to take you to the hook you can press the active ability button and give the flag to the killer making him drop you and he starts dancing or something fun.
I do love the new charm though!

In general it's not that bad- first Pride since I came out that I'm not spending alone :D
Probably won't go to any parades or anything but it just feels nice, yaknow?
In DBD, well- usual DBD issues + homophobes + 5.0.0 = pain but oh well.
Genuinely shocked we haven't had the Sixth Great Forums Representation War™ yet but there's another 10 days

Can't really say for the whole month, but I'm having a great Father's day so far, so that's definitely something.
Long as people can be happy, I don't think it really matters what the celebration is for. We can all be thankful for that.
If the Killers do start dancing, which one do you think would be the worst at it? My money's on Charlotte. She seems like the type to be akward on her feet.

Life ain't fair

Gluttony gets plenty of look in on pretty much every festivity.

I thought you meant my actual pride. Disappointed.

This is my first Pride Month that I've actually felt like a part of it. Earlier this year, somewhat being sparked by being dumped by my girlfriend (and honestly somewhat sparked by Trickster ngl), I had begun having different emotions towards my sexuality, and right now I'm kind of confused as to what I really am, but I guess I'm kind of bouncing between pansexual and homosexual.
I'm proud to be a part of it, whatever I am. This has given me newfound confidence and has made me feel better about life than I probably would've been if I had suppressed these emotions. Life's opening up for me, and I'm gonna be moving overseas soon, so I have no clue what'll happen.
I'm happy to be here and so far, I've yet to be tunneled for wearing the pride charm. I've also yet to be ridiculed at all, though that may be because I'm playing on console.☺️☺️

same thing for the past years
2 -
What pride are you talking about?
1 -
It does I came out to my girlfriend this week as bi sexual and it felt great!
3 -
I mean I'm having a good fathers day as well. But just noticed not many people have been talking about pride this month besides tunneling or w/e. So I thought I'd just ask :D I'm glad you're having a good fathers day!
2 -
My Saiyan pride, obviously.
3 -
I don't celebrate pride but it's been alright I guess. Other than dbd being borderline unplayable.
3 -
That's awesome!
2 -
This is the first one since I came out. It's been good, but would probably be better if we weren't in a pandemic and I could just go out and meet more people

As a bisexual guy, I'm really happy with pride month, in general and in DBD. I love running around with the pride charm and having it in me hook.
An event dedicated to pride month is what I'm hoping for next year (tho im fine if it doesn't happen), it can be a mini event pre anniversary!

Ha ha, terribly.
Living in a conservative christian state kinda makes feeling proud of who I am... agonizingly difficult, to say the least.
It feels like every time I think about it, there's another reason that it makes me a bad person and another friend or family member who would call me out for those reasons if I came out to them.
My inspiration Zdzisław Beksiński has been one of the few things keeping me going lately. Here are some of his paintings:
Happy Pride month and happy Father's Day everyone.

Honestly just a charm was weak AF, I wanted actual Pride shirts or something. Oh well, I don't really care if the straights acknowledges us for good PR or profit as long as my LGBTQ+ family is happy and doing well🥰
2 -
I'm having a good pride month and father's day. How is yours?
1 -
Me and my bf rep the pride flag every game and terrorise EU servers we really stay winning,
2 -
the advantage of having a charm, is that you can use it on any character (including licensed ones) while a shirt would need to be modeled for each character individually and licensed characters probably wouldn't get it
4 -
It's like any other month for me, nothing special.
8 -
I like the charm and I think it's neat but it was just less effort than making like ugly Christmas sweater for the survivors (I own a few) Like I said as long my LGBTQ+ fam is happy then so am I
2 -
Because you're not 🏳️🌈 :)
4 -
That's fine. As long as your fine in general.

No, it's the month that's nothing special to me.

People can do whatever they want (okay not literally, i'd rather not see genocides) every month of the year, all fine by me.
I simply don't care about many celebrations because i don't feel involved in them, this one's no different.

But at the same time, Mikey is famous for his ability to move offscreen. So maybe he's an excellent dancer, but only when nobodys looking

Shoehorned in.

I can't. I'll be banned. That's just how it is.
1 -
ah because it's homophobic gotchu
13 -
So why didn't you keep it to yourself? Why'd you have to post here?

because reasons

Why not have rainbow confetti burst out of the exit gates when survivors go in them with disco balls flashing? Or better yet let the plague barf rainbow colored puke on survivors so they can barf rainbow puke too. I think it'd be funny. Besides all that, I don't think the rainbow charm was a good idea. Some survivors might get bullied in a match or some killers get trolled for having it on the hook. Putting rainbows in a game isn't the best way to represent or show support for this. The world is filled with under-represented people. Its an issue with people and how we treat each other. If more people would just see each other as humans deserving of kindness then the world would be a better place. We don't need a pride month or rainbow charms. We need humanity to return to love for each other and value life as sacred.

So because some people cannot behave themselves in a civil matter we should exclude everyone who isn't counted as "normal"?
We don't need a pride month or rainbow charms. We need humanity to return to love for each other and value life as sacred.
Which is what pride month is doing thank you for coming tonight.
Before the first pride, which was a riot protesting discrimination against lgbt+ people btw because they had so little rights back then, it was illegal to be lgbt+. Alan Turing, the literal war hero that beat the Enigma code in WW2 killed himself due to conversion therapy- a practice still legal today, mind you. Pride month both celebrates how far we've come and also continues the fight for equal rights and treatment.
So yes, we do need a pride month.

Well, why don't we include every under-represented thing in DBD then? I think this kind of stuff just causes more division but thats just my opinion.
1 -

You say this like you think it's an actual counterpoint... XD

AFAIK they're doing a pretty good job. Excluding licenses, there's an incredibly diverse cast (ethnically), Claudette is hinted to having austism (although this isn't directly confirmed), the backgrounds are also incredibly mixed, from David beating people up to help his mother, to Jane facing serious discrimination because of both her race and gender, and they'll probably do more in future. The argument kinda falls flat when you realise they're already doing it.
If you really want I can go in-depth as to why we need representation of everything in media but I don't think this is the place for an essay.
7 -
I'd also argue that Deathslinger is somewhere on the autism spectrum. though it'd be nice if some stuff would get confirmed.

Pride month isn’t really having any effects on me, if it wasn’t for DbD and some Rainbow Logos i wouldn’t even remember it actually. And even then I deliberately choose to acknowledge it here, if I didn’t want to i could just glance over the few thread titles and ignore it.. i do that with other topics that don’t interest me all the time..
We need humanity to return to love for each other and value life as sacred.
when exactly was that supposed to be?
4 -
Probably never, but pride month and rainbow charms aren't going to bring us closer to it either... in my opinion.
1 -
I'm straight and I love gay people, nicest people I've met.
7 -
Know what else won't? Not fighting for equal rights and continuing to be oppressed. Continuing to be illegal in over 70 countries. Continuing to not be represented in media and continuing to allow people to deny our existence because they don't like it.
6 -
It has been great!
5 -
They do bring people together though. They help raise awareness and normalize the whole topic of LGBTQ+ in everyday life.
8 -
I’m glad for people it seems like pride month is going great. I’m straight so it doesn’t really affect me which is why I’m glad people are having a good time as much as they are able to. Just sucks cause i had surgery and have been miserable.
10 -
I hope your surgery went well and you get a speedy recovery from it <3
