Nurse is not hard to play at all!!!
I just picked her up and she is so0o easy. Idk why people say her skill cap is high!!! You aim you teleport you smack. Pallets mean jack windows mean jack everything means absolute NOTHING to nurse. Where is the fun in this/?? Its too easy as nurse and those who say she is hard im not understanding where it takes skill to do what she does. Can someone tell me their struggles with her?

Ha guess what I started 4king with Blight as soon as I started playing him so that means he’s easy af to play, ok gotchu!

Must..... not.... take...... BAIT!!!!
31 -
To be fair... She's really not. Five hours and you've got enough skill to tear through every team except proper tournament squads, I wouldn't call that a hard killer to learn. Not like Billy, or Blight, or Huntress, or Demogorgon, or Plague, or literally any other killer in the game except perhaps Spirit.

nice bait
12 -
U should go on console and try to play nurse
7 -
Yeah, it really is.
3 -
It's not how easy she is to get a basic understanding. That's the case with all killers. It's how long it takes to master her. To truly become unstoppable in the face of competent survivors.
1 -
Um, I know all of that and did before I even touched her. The hardest part about Nurse is learning basic mechanical skills, and knc eyou have that she is the easiest killer kn the game. Slap on IF and your favourite slowdown and it's over before it started.
She is the most overrated killer in the game. People worship me for easily 4king with her and call me a scumbag for losing as perkless Deathslinger. Makes perfect sense.
2 -
It's not to get the hand of. You can easily get the basic of understanding of any killer including Nurse, Blight, or other top tiers. It's to master the killer. To truly become unstoppable in the face of all the tricks of good survivors.
1 -
But you don't need to master Nurse. Almost every other killer, in order to achieve her win rate, you absolutely need to be the best. Nurse? Nah, just be okay and dont miss much and you're good.
1 -
Yeah, but it's cooler and nice to mess up the toxic SWFs
0 -
5 hours to destroy all but tourney squads?
And the second easiest killer in the game?
Come on. I know you don't like Nurse, but even you have to admit you're overexaggerating here.
7 -
Nope. Having a harsh initial curve doesn't make a killer hard to play. People just massively overrate Nurse because of the first few humiliating trials.
2 -
This is what I've been saying for a while now. She's not that hard to pick up, although of course some people, like me, really prefer other killer's playstyles. The only thing holding her back is those blinks where you hold it too little and blink a centimeter in front of you (because of a rock) or you hold it too much (because you want to get to the other side of the rock where the survivor is) and you go flying, like there's no in-between.

Gud baet

I am on console!!!!!

The bait is real here =D

Fair enough I do have to say she is difficult to play. I just got her achievement from the void she kills or whatever finally have all the achievements for dbd. That was the 1 achievement i needed lol. Overall i dont really like staring at the ground 50 percent of game

She has a full lunge now. Old Nurse had a small, quick swing, which is why she was so hard to play as. It took skill to actually LAND on someone for a hit. Now they gave her a full damn lunge and her skill gap went out the window.
0 -
its tough at first but it took me a couple matches to figure out distance and it was over after that.
0 -
Depends on what rank youre at. I couldnt do jack so depipped myself to 13. Took me a few games there but it got pretty easy pretty quick.
Then i got to red ranks again and it wasnt easy anymore 😂
Once i had the mechanics down and got pretty good at blinkimg on them whatever they were doing i started to notice my weapon just passing through people sometimes and i kept running into spots where i just couldnt blink at all. I put her down and havent touched her sense

I mean...I can see your point with that last statement because people in this game seem to take losing very seriously and blow it out of proportion ALOT, but if Nurse was really as easy as you say then I would think we'd be seeing a whole lot more Nurse players than we do now. That's not the case though. I don't know about you, but I've played against exactly 2 Nurses in public matches within the last 3 months being in NA west servers. I would think that more people would be willing to sacrifice a few losses in order to easily dominate almost every match they play in after the fact. Again that's not the case though. These days you'll mostly see Wraith or Spirit.
Even after you get the hang of Nurse and her blink distances the skill cap doesn't end there. Depending on how good the survivors are you need to adjust how you play against them. Sure it's not hard to catch a survivor who runs in a straight line or a survivor who always doubles back, but a survivor who knows how to not be as predictable as most others can be a real pain to catch when they do things like break los, hold forward, and fake a double back one chase, and then just simply hold forward the next. They'll really know how to throw off even a good Nurse and even then when you still manage to catch them after like 45 seconds, then they still managed to buy a decent amount of time for there teammates to sit on gens. And not to mention the many bugs she has to deal with and also console, where I play her, where you're even more limited by things like bad frames and controller trigger dead zones and all that jazz.
You're absolutely right though in the fact that you don't need to master Nurse in order to win most matches and that's because the majority of survivors are just bad. I don't know how else to say that. They're just not very good at the game. Very rarely when I win a game as Nurse do I think "Wow I'm so glad I was Nurse. There's no way I would've been able to win that match with any other killer." In fact I'd be willing to bet I could win about 80-90% of the games I win on Nurse using someone like Ghostface. That's just the fault of the poor matchmaking and rank systems. People with 100 hours will play against people with 10,000 hours. That's one reason why I personally feel like an mmr system would be good for the balance of the game. It would shed some light on a bunch of things.
At the end of the day though we can just agree to disagree I suppose. Like I said I'm aware of your dislike of Nurse so I doubt either of us will budge but yeah that's just my input.

I understand why people think Nurse is hard, I just don't like that a mediocre Nurse is more than a match for nearly every single team, judging by my own mediocrity and win rate. Thats what I consider easy.
0 -
Understandable. But again that's one reason why I think mmr would be a good thing.

There are but two choices in life:
- Learn to master playing the piano. Or...
- Learn to master the Nurse in Dead by Daylight.
There is no room for anything else. Make your choice. (Although I suppose some people could have even earned a phD in the time they've spent playing dbd.) Which is better, I cannot say.

She's pretty hard on console, but honestly I have a harder time with Oni. It's like trying to steer a missile that's on fire and growls at you.
0 -
Yup
1 -
I hope this is sarcasm.
0 -
You are joking right? Why do people think this about Nurse amaze me.
0 -
Because the killer has to be hard!!!11 If she isn't, how can I make my one and only bad excuse for her unbalance and existence in the current state of the game >:(
0 -
It's not bait.
2 -
Nggh... the bait is real... I. Can't. Resist!
Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard Nurse is hard
(In all seriousness tho she is actually hard.)

True. But which game is it? Cause I am sure as hell she ain't playing Dead by Daylight
0 -
Perhaps those "best" Nurse mains were exaggerating how long it took. I know everyone wants to be Yoda, with all the wisdom and experience, but I, like the OP, also got Nurse down in like a day.
0 -
It's not consistent though. Sometimes she has a ridiculous lunge, sometimes it's like Meyers in tier 1.
0 -
You’re telling me that at over 8,300 hours playing this game and you’re just now learning Nurse?
Either, you tried plenty of times before and you’ve finally done well against noobs.
Or
You really have never touched Nurse in over 8,300 hours and are using this 346 days played of experience to lower the learning curve.
Either way they’re both sad outcomes. Nice bait though.

They gave her a normal lunge. if you hold the button down, she always has a full lunge that took her skill gap and chucked it out the window. Old mindgames you could do against her are gone now because of it. She's easy now because you don't have to be accurate with your blinks anymore. You can just get close and always get a hit.

This post makes me violently angry.
I'm gonna leave and get some tea. I'm gonna pretend I didn't read this travesty of a post.

T H I S.

That's what I was thinking. She doesn't seem to be that reliant on accuracy. And the mindgames against her are only as effective as she lets them be. Not like Spirit though, because Nurse can actually see. That's why mindgames against her fail easier.
0 -
With her short swing, you could play a pallet like a mindgame against old Nurse since she couldn't lunge the pallet so she had to rely on accurate blinks. That mindgame is forever gone.
1 -
Learning Nurse, so my neighbours don't kill me because I play piano the whole day.
(But I do love the sound of piano.)

@MadLordJack is not wrong. With double cooldowns (her old basekit) she's extremely easy. Its difficult to start and most people drop her because they don't want to go through those two games where they get utterly destroyed while they get used to the blink mechanic. But she's definitely not difficult and you need to be far from a "god nurse" to roll over most teams.
