The Grind Is Atrocious
There are currently 179 perks in the game. 95 of those perks are for survivor, while 84 of them are for killer. Now you have to take these numbers and multiply them by 3 because of tiers, getting you 285 survivor perks and 252 killer perks, totaling out to 537 perks.
Of 95/84 perks, only 4 show up on your bloodweb at a time, and even then you can only purchase two at a time. This means that you have to go through 570/504 levels of the bloodweb to unlock every perk in the game and get them to T3.
Putting that into BP perspective, you have to take the number of levels and multiply it by 50,000 (bloodweb price at level 50). You will be left with 28.5 million points for survivor and 25.2 million points for killer. Both of these numbers can be lowered slightly because not every web is 50K bp, so let's say you end up having to spend roughly 27 million bloodpoints to get every perk on ONE survivor or 24 million points to get every perk on ONE killer. Throw prestiging on top of that and you get about 30 million bp for survivor and 27 million bp for killer.
An average player will most likely have three characters. Typically 2 survivors and 1 killer. They won't prestige, so they end up having to spend 54 million bp on survivor and 24 million bp on killer for every perk.
Let's say you don't have BBQ or WGLF, so you average 20K points per match. You will have to play 50 matches to get 1 million bp. A match usually lasts around 15 minutes. After multiplying 15 by 50 and dividing by 60 (minutes in an hour), you get 12.5. 12.5 is the amount of hours you will spend to get 1 million bp. 12.5 hours times 27 million bp is 337.5 hours (surv); times 24 million bp is 300 hours (killer).
If you go off that, it takes a little less than 2 weeks to get a killer from level 1 to level 50 with all perks, and it takes over 2 weeks to get a survivor from level 1 to level 50 with all perks. That average player will now be spending over a month to get 3 characters from level 1 to level 50 with all perks.
Let's say you're someone that has all the time in the world and wants to get every perk on every character. Not including prestiging, you will end up spending 729 million bp/9,112.5 hours on survivor and 576 million bp/7,200 hours on killer. You will literally be spending 380 days on survivor and 300 days on killer. That's nearly two years getting every character to P3 with all perks, and with new chapters releasing every few months, the numbers just get higher.
My calculator needs a break now, so I just have one request for BHVR. REMOVE PERK TIERS.
Also, someone, please check this math. Even with a calculator, I'm almost certain that something here is wrong.

Yuh. Cracked mathematician right here.

Average people only have 3 characters? Yikes ive wasted money 😂

Now tell us how many licks it takes to get to the center of a tootsie pop.

The world may never know

Three characters they actually play, yeah.

Gotcha, yeah i still got a lot i switch between lol

Ouch, my head is hurting and confused... Too much mathematics! Thanks for working it out though, I wouldn't have the patience to do so even with a calculator lol.

"Of 95/84 perks, only 4 show up on your bloodweb at a time, and even then you can only purchase two at a time. This means that you have to go through 570/504 levels of the bloodweb to unlock every perk in the game and get them to T3."
This isn't completely accurate as the lower levels only have 1, then 2, then 3. It takes a while to get to 4 perks per bloodweb. So, while its cheaper at lower levels to get through the web, you have less variety and control over what you actually unlock.

Yes, at least remove perk tiers. Apparently they're the reason why Visionary has a COOLDOWN.

It took me 8k hours to p3 everyone and get all perks right before the RE dlc came out and I agree, perk tiers need to be removed and I'd suggest removing the BP bonuses from bbq and wglf and putting them into the base game because I'm tired of wasting perk slots to get bloodpoints.
There's one issue with making those changes though.. people will complain that already maxed out their characters and will expect some kind of reward for it, similar to how people got legacy cosmetics back when the game first came out. I don't think doing another round of legacy cosmetics is an option because there are too many licensed characters now and it's not as easy to implement anymore. I honestly have no idea what a solution to that is if there is one

I don't see the point in any gen aura perks getting cooldowns. Their sole purpose is to assist new players in learning spawn locations. You'll literally never see them in higher ranks unless the player is doing a meme build or adept.

Why would you P3 every character? Why even P1?
2 -
OCD completionism. Dont judge us... I NEED to max out everything...

I have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). After getting my Ash to P3-50, I just couldn't stand the sight of the rest of my characters only being level 50.

If you want to do something grindy (100% completion), then you have to deal with the grind. What would be the point of prestiging every character if it wasn't difficult to do?

Yeah, it's just annoying when I can't play all day, every day. If I streamed for a living like Otzdarva or Sullimain, then maybe I wouldn't see it as much of an issue, haha.

@DetailedDetriment Everyone usually states 50K per level 50 bloodweb. I may be nitpicking here but wouldn't you have to specifically be trying to get through the bloodweb as cheaply as possible to get through one at 50K? And even with that, need a little luck too?
Admittedly, it does make the math(s) easier.

And now imagine the devs won't removing perk tiers after 5 years the game is being out. Not reworking the shrine after 4 1/2 years it's being out.
We are at the exact same point where the devs announced Legacy and a grind nerf after Legacy got released.
But I think it's even worse than that. But it's like you're talking with a wall.

By "not every level is 50k" I mean that levels 1-39 are cheaper.

I ABSOLUTELY AGREE!! I was just watching a SpaceCoconut video and I decided to make a Feedback post about it that the devs will never read XD
There are so many killers and survivors I want to try but the heavy grind required to unlock the perks I want for them is just too ######### much, I wanna make fun builds but I also can't spend all my time in just this game

I agree with your point, but it is a bit off somewhere. I have a little over 2k hours, and I have all killers except Nemesis P3, and all killers except the last four with all perks, and a full survivor perked out. (Stupid, Sexy David)
That being said, rather than tiers, one of the best ideas I saw; make it so Prestiging a character unlocks that rank of their perks on all other characters. My P3 Nurse now gives all my new killers Nurse's Calling/Thana/Stridor, and my P1 Nemesis gives Rank 1 Pursuit/Hysteria/Eruption to all my killers.

That'd be so nice. All I would need to buy is the default perks and some teachables I got off the shrine.
When it came to the math, I wasn't taking into account bp offerings BBQ/WGLF.

Prestiging should be difficult but should not give any game advantage. It should be something to brag about, e.g. special skin, some badge.
Perks are very important for the game, therefore it should be a lot simpler to get them. As a first step, remove perk tiers.
In my opinion perks should be immediately available on T3 without the need to buy them in bloodweb:

I'd say making all of the base-pool perks available from the start wouldn't be a bad idea, but getting the teachable perks should still require a purchase on the bloodweb. Of course, these teachables would still lose tiers.

There has been no effort to reduce the grind since legacy and the original bloodweb changes. That just means the game becomes increasingly less friendly to new players.
