Something i still didnt understand with Nemesis

Member Posts: 684

Maybe I misread but i still didnt get The "infected" status

I know that the more he infects survs or kicks zombies, the more he gains power

Yup ure infected blue. Why you would use the vaccine ? If the Nemesiss power grows by contamination whats the survivors purpose to vaccine themselves and give him more power if theyre already infected once ? Does his power reducing when you use vaccines ?

You can use the vaccine for (essentially) a free mettle of man proc/free health state. That hurts Nemmy much more than it helps him

you don't want to get hit with Big Daddy's noodle and receive the infected status. But, if you do, you need to try and hide or get rid of it, because all of sudden, Nemesis just got a lot more scary

This is why I don't buy the weak argument. It takes him a little time to build up, but it's pretty strong once he does. Add to that the zombie pests and he's really not bad.

Him whipping someone who wasn't infected already gives him more infection than hitting someone who is infected already. So what I do is save the vaccines for when he's already reached lvl 3, because then there's no downside to it.

    Multiple reasons:

    • Nemesis still gets mutation when hitting you while you're infected, so it doesn't matter that much.
    • Nemesis gets incredibly oppressive once he hit T2 (need 2 hits on survivors for that so he'll always reach T2 rather fast) AND if you're infected because he shuts down every loop.
    • Curing yourself doesn't take that long.
    • Zombies are no threat without being infected
    • Getting infected gives you a free Sprint Burst in chase. If you cure yourself you get 2+ free Sprint Bursts per match, amazing!
    • Nemesis is just an M1 pleb without infected survivors.
    • You're no longer blue, if you don't like the color.

Vaccine just denies his m2 or zombies from injuring you and removes infection which could give away your position... other than that, it does nothing.

Remember that you can use zombies as a Sprint Burst dispensers, so if you are not contaminated, they do nothing to you.

I think using vaccines asap rather than saving them for t3 is a better idea, as you trade them for for his diminished early-mid game pressure

its probably clear now, I would just like to add that nemesis's design is one of those slighty shimmering moments where I can respect the devs for something....which is sad, but yeah I really dig how the infection of Nemesis works vs Plague, its both similair but also completely unique.

XDDD A healthy player with the vaccine can survive 3 whips pet chase. 4 health points and 3 speed boosts. Well, what do you say to the survivalists? I think you re even against Trapper buffs. You say that he is imba, so as not to interfere with the gens. Nemesis is not playable on highlights. Good job BHVR, love you.

Not really sure whether you're agreeing with me or not.. my stance on Nemesis is that he is rather lackluster because of the 3 health states and sprint bursts. If that and the horrible AI (zombies getting stuck on literally everything, even in opened doors) were fixed, Nemesis would be a solid killer imo.

Not being infected makes him a useless m1 killer that can't do anything at pallets.

What I don't understand is his freaking Tentacle. The attack isn't even a whip, it's closer to PH's m2 in how it's more of a rectangle.

Would really like if the attack worked like it looks like it should.

Imagine a whip being used. The person pulls back their arm, then uses the whip forward. If the whip just moves up and down (not sideways), what is the rough shape of the volume the whip crossed in front of the person? Answer: A thin rectangular prism.

Is Nemesis able to destroy a pallet and hit a survivor at the same time with m2 ?
