Started the rift late

This is the first rift pass I've ever gotten. I usually do the tome challenges casually for the extra BPs and the extra free stuff in the rift is a nice addition. But once I realized that you could potentially earn back your auric cells if you completed the rift and then just keep unlocking future rift passes I had to try and see if I could do it.

I unlocked the rift pass about 4 days ago. I was already in the 30s as far as rift level goes so I figured I'd give it a shot. I figured if I could finish 2-3 rift challenges a day until it closes I could finish it.

What I've come to realize is that the master challenges are kind of crazy as you get higher in the tomes, mostly if you play soloq. Each challenge takes me roughly 30 minutes to an hour.

I see challenges like "hit two survivor with one corrupt purge attack two times in a single trial" and I'm like oh dear gawd. Do they have any idea how difficult it is to even get more than one corrupt pool sometimes, let alone how hard it is to aim a purge? Now try hitting two survivors at the same time ... twice in one trial?!

I'm at level 46 in the rift now and I don't know if it's possible to get all the way through ...

This Rift is actually easy to max out.

Especially because fragments need 500 xp instead of 800, which means at least 10 games equals 1 full Rift crystal or w/e it is called.

I've reached 70 before I could finish 3rd page, but I did play a bit more this time than usual, max 3h per day, average of maybe around 2h.

I definitely learned the lesson the hard way 😔 I had that strat in mind but I couldn't resist the Kate cosmetic in this one. I missed the last rift and deeply regretted not getting it for the Nea cosmetic and now whenever I see someone with it I just frown with envy and regret.

Well its just math, each match gives around ~600 xp (500 bonus for first match of the day on each side), which equals 1.2 rift fragments, you only need 690 rift fragments so around 575 matches not counting the daily bonuses which could reduce it down to 460 matches including 138 matches of one match each day on both sides

if each match takes 10 minutes, and 3 or so minutes for load times this is about ~90 hours, or a very manageable task over the ~70 day period

That's weird, I usually play for about 1-3 hours a day average and including the rift fragments from the first tome and a half I only got to level 30 something up until a few days ago. I've been playing more survivor so my queue times are more like 5-10 minutes and xp averages more like 400 but I also mostly play soloq so I die a lot lol

the largest portion of xp (which counts for rift fragments) come from duration within the match

killers since they have to always spend the full duration in match earn more xp and usually queue faster

I feel you can probably ignore the harder master challenges and still get to 70. I actually completed the rift before finishing time level 3 just through normal gamplay so it shouldn't be to much of a grind

Yea I wished they would made the challenges passive. Like most Killer tasks are things you already do by default.

Like "do totems/cleanse a hex" or "finish a gen/ get gens done as a team" "get chased/use objects during a chase"

And not "360 a Killer while he has Oblivious status effect while you are Exposed after 30 secs of stunning him with a pallet you lifted with Any Means Necessary without getting downed after 10 seconds"

LOL - I think this is actually going to be the first challenge in the next tome
