Trapper being the worst killer in DBD while being on the cover is telling a lot
I still can't believe the OG killer of DBD with a not so original design (Jason Voorhees) but a cool power is still potentially the worst killer in the game.
We all know license killers bring most of the players but most of them have been tweaked and buffed except Myers who's still trash, it just makes me wonder how Trapper has not gotten any real buff to make his more efficient, I mean it's not like his power is overpowered when we have Hag or Nurse who can literally teleport and get survivors.
A lot of his add-ons should have been part of his base kit, why can't he get traps from lockers like Huntress? I don't really know how to balance him but he desperately needs a rework or a buff of some sort because BEhaviour is really doing Trapper dirty and it's telling a lot about how they treat the OG killers
By the way, they need to nerf Nurse again. Her lunge's hitbox is still too damn big!

Giving him a bag as basekit allows players to atleast play with 2 add ons instead of 1. If they darkened the traps or made the grass thicker he wouldn't need to use tar bottles either. Traps in lockers would be better than having to walk into dead areas to collect them. New maps would open new opportunities for trap placements that survivors won't have memorised. So many things they can but wont do 😅

He need carry all traps on him or he has to take traps from lockers. Add trap limits for him.
Also he needs map mobility. All m1 killers bad because of this.

But they just have made the traps darker in the last update where Trapper got his graphic rework..
and new maps will get old as well that’s not really a direct trapper buff..

They actually darkened the traps with his visual rework and he doesn't need tar bottle anymore

They limit him to carry 1 trap because there are some powerful add-on, which force you to sacrifice trap carrying to use those (Iri stone, Blood coil, Honing stone). But beside those & bags, the rest are really bad.
Purple Setting tool save you half setting time? Its nothing compared to a Brown bag which can save you 50meter distance of walking because you have to put down a trap before picking up another one.

Trapper needs spike traps to injure and slowdown running survivors, he needs poison traps that slowly kill the target if they dont mend, he needs locker traps with a buzzer even Saws pig has better trap design. Pit traps would work too except i doubt they would ever let him dig a tar pit. Window traps so if a survivor jumps through a window a spike armsends them back through and pins them to the ground.

His traps don't consistently work and most of the time you'll be chasing survivors with no power

With so many status right now. I wish there are many more Jaw add-on that apply "Knock out effect" that team mates dont see them trapped. Or cause them Hindered until healed (in return increase escape chance)....so many idea for the Jaw

They are still glaringly obvious to me. Had lots of them disabled in my last game. Grass is too thin perhaps.

He can’t carry all the traps, or he could place all of them on the ground after hooking someone. He could do that right now, but let’s be real it wouldn’t be possible before the person was rescued.
He needs the brown bag base kit though, and my idea is a 5-10% haste for some time after someone steps in a trap to be used to reach them easier, or a tool in a chase.

I also feel like trappers biggest hindering factor is that he has to go around and pick up traps before he can place them. I almost feel like they could change it to were he merely has to go around and activate traps instead tho i know that would easily get old after people figured out where the spawn locations were

After updates, I feel they got trapped by alot, but in the last weekend, they disarm my traps like breakfast to the point I feel they cheat (even those traps that go under the ground and invisible).
I think in higher rank, there is always a survivors follow you no matter what, and keep disarming.
Beside, brighten screen & set Graphic to Low also help to spot his traps much easier

either Iridescent Stone needs to be basekit (with the time 60 instead of 30 seconds) or all his traps need to be activated at the start of the game.
Why does a trapper have all his traps deactivated before his prey walks into his territory? I don't know!

Hag doesn't have to walk to get her traps, part of the reason they're poles apart on the tier lists

Main event isn't good at all. Trickster also need to hit all 8 just to injure people. At least with trapper you just need them to fall for a trap placement. There are numerous area where traps can sink or be placed.

Ways I would fix Trapper. Note: I don't not think they should ALL be implemented, only that they are separate ideas:
- Make his traps invisible past <x> meters. This would mean that Survivors may step in them if they are running, or being chased, but will see them if they are walking/being alert. This also fixes his traps screaming 'HERE I AM!' as they stand out on The Game like neon signs.
- Allow Trapper to start with all his traps. Sure, he can only pick them back up if he places enough to go under his carry limit (thus forcing the player to think about placement early game). This reduces that opening time spent finding & picking up his traps. Not even Hag has to go find her traps at start.
- Allow him to walk over his own traps. It's frustrating to watch a Survivor Dead Hard over a trap, thus turning a trapped loop into a safe loop/extending chases as the Trapper has to reverse, then circle, the loop. Maybe make it a sped-up window-vault animation as he steps over his trap.
- Allow him to 'drop' traps. Instead of S L O W L Y placing a trap, he should drop it, already armed. Again; this is about reducing time wasted. The Trapper suffers so much because Survivors can bang out gens in 5 minutes, while he wastes 2-3 minutes just finding, picking up, moving to a good position, & setting up his trap.

I say let's give Trapper a grappling hook that gives him some vertical mobility. Aim a gun at a valid ledge and deathslinger reel himself up things

- It doesnt help anything, high rank play will have someone keep stalking you setting trap and disarm all of them
- He needs tons of QoL improved, not about buff up his trap number.
- Unlike Freddy trap which slow survivors down, Beartrap keep them in place which is much stronger. He should not able to walk through trap because it will make his path far shorter in loops for easy hit. And because of it, Trapper has to make smart play at which path he should trap first, or he trap himself and waste time. The problems relied on Dead hard through trap, just remove it.
- So 4 Coil addon as basekit?
Your 2 + 4 is to have Double Purple bag & 4 Coil addon as basekit. This is over buffed

Most Trappers I come against get at least 3K. I think he’s pretty balanced. Good trappers know that they don’t need to traverse the entire map when all they need to do is lock down part of it.

Hag’s traps don’t trap survivors, and you crouch through them, trapper having all his traps in the basement would make rescuing them way too hard

stats in 2019 (i guess) proved that kill rate is above 75% if you don't know about it GOOGLE IT , you guys are whining since 2018 if you think trapper ,trickster literally killers are weak why the heck bothering your self playing DBD ? simply delete it and enjoy your life ! whining about it all day won't make a difference the kill rate is still high

That was a long time ago and those stats said Nurse and Blight were the worst killers in the game. With Pig and Doctor as the best. Also this game has Corner Care Claudettes, Locker Dwights, and Meg heads. Do you wanna talk about all the variables in these 100% realistic statistics? And Myers is an F tier killer. Trickster a C tier killer. You probably won't respond 🤣

Trapper is almost fine, he just needs the brown or yellow bag by default and he can be a decent killer.
The biggest weakness is that he is map dependent (like many killer) but thats more a map problem and not a Trapper problem.

Yeah Poster boy deserves much better than being the worst killer in the game. Give him yellow bag and tar bottle as basekit and he would be C tier perhaps. But all killers should be around A tier for balance, and solo survivor should be buffed in some way.

In no reality is Mikey an F tier killer. Scott Jund made an excellent comprehensive 25 minute video countering in great detail all the usual silly reasons people who claim Mikey is one of the worst use.
Could he use some buffs? Absolutely. Most killers could. But he is not F tier. He is not even in the bottom five.

Trickster and Trapper need buffs. The other 3 are C tier which is fine and I would argue the Clown might be a B tier.
D Tier and S Tier need either buffs or nerfs. S Tier is Nurse, Spirit and Blight. Nurse just needs a straight up rework.

Fair details given but he's still in my F tier not the worst. But, here's my reasons
1. Worst early game of all killers. Often a gen pops before tier 2
2. Very miniscule gains from tier 2
3. A power that runs out.
4. Weak stealth
5. Weak snowball
6. Tier three while yes an instant down with some assistance in chase. With the standard terror radius.and no effective way to get through pallets. Not that strong.
7. Not the worst because he's better against lower tiers and some of the best add-ons in the game.
