Slugging

Can we make excessive slugging reportable or at the very least have a built-in mechanic to counter it? I'm not complaining about slugging in general, since it's a good way of applying pressure, but it's more than a little excessive to go for a 4-man slug at the beginning of the game with the intention of just bleeding everyone out.

Thats the one thing i think is toxic a killer can do. I dont mean 4 slugging from the beginning, but purposefully letting all 4 bleed out is ######### up

They should at least have a counter for it, definitely at the start of a game.

there is a lot of perks to counter sulgging

If you are the ONLY one being slugged, the counters are:

Having good teammates where one heal you, while the other one take a hit.

Use Unbreakable next to a pallet.

    Use Unbreakable+Soul Guard.

If the killer manage to slug everybody, you guys are TERRIBLE at the game, how is possible no one is able to loop him until someone else heal the last downed survivor?

to be able to slug at such proficiently is not a very easy thing to do

So recently I was facing this Billy on Hawkins, he had devour hope and was able to get it to 5 stacks while concealing devour hope. Without even knowing what it was, I ended up breaking it so he slugged me, no hooks on me at this point, until I was almost dead(as in if he waited a few more seconds I would have bled out). Killing the rest of my team, and then popping me on the hook for the one hook. And the whole time I couldn't stop laughing because of how much energy this dude was spending being mad at me over a game. Like, if a killer slugs you then just get up and refill your drink, or go to the bathroom.

You win by not letting it get to you.

It was a Wraith with Windstorm - Blood. Pick one up, immediately get downed again and left to bleed out. It's not that we were all terrible, it's that he was running a slug build and didn't hook any of us.

There's a lot of perks that counter healing, a lot of perks that counter gen rushes, a lot of perks that counter camping.

Problem being, you cannot run all the perks you need, since you dont know what kind of killer you're facing.

Mass slugging to bleed out is a problem in the vanilla game, that needs a vanilla fix. Just like speedrunning gens(aka, competitive survivor strats in early gen rushing) is a problem in the vanilla game, and needs a vanilla fix.

Dont use the argument of perks to excuse behaviour of toxic players. You only have access to 4 perks, and only 2 perks allow you to pick yourself up multiple times in the case everyone is slugged, one giving a warning to the killer, the other requiring an active hex. This game needs a way for 2 slugged survivors to be able to pick each other up. Giving killers reason to not mass slug for too long, as they only have 1 minute for 2 slugs to pick each other up(assuming they arent slugged next to each other, in which case, all the more reason to hook 1 of them).

I want a solution that isn't X Perk or Y Perk. I want a solution that actually punishes a killer for mass slugging with no intention of hooking.

Slugging, in general, is fine when you're doing it to either make efficient use of your power, apply pressure, or chase away someome going for a flashlight save.

Slugging to bleed out all four survivors is not fine, and incurs no actual punishment for the player choosing to do this.

If you're getting 4man slugged as survivor. I'm sorry but you're just bad xd

Getting 4 man slugged doesn't happen often enough that I feel the need to change my loadout. Further, it was against a Windstorm Wraith running Knockout and Deer Stalker. Get picked up, get downed immediately because Deer Stalker tells the killer where downed survivors are, while Knockout makes it harder for survivors to find each other.

Getting deliberately bled out is not fine, and isn't skill-dependent.

It's pretty skill-dependent. You shouldn't even bee going down to a Wraith like that, if anything that shows a lack of skill on your end.

It's really not. 3man slug still means your team is dying. You might have a chance at escaping, but your team absolutely doesn't.

Cloaked, Wraith has a base movement speed of 150%. Throw Windstorm - Blood into the mix, you're looking at 159.57%. Throw in Swift Hunt - White, and now Wraith has fast uncloaking too.

With knockout making it harder to find your fellow survivors, Wraith constantly on your heels, that's a net loss. No amount of skill will help you in that situation. Hence why there needs to be an in-game mechanic that prevents this sort of thing.

    Can this be reportable?!

I've had a game of the killer slugging the last 2 survivors 5 times and just leaving them to find the last one. And after downing the last one leaving her to bleed so that they could go find the hatch and close it.

I'm sorry to hear that. That's not cool and I will crap on that kind of behavior every chance I get. I enjoy a little in-game vendetta with an aggressive survivor, but there's no reason either of us should be mean-spirited about anything in a game. Childish.

Sadly it seems like they scrapped the Finisher Mori because people were outraged by the base kit Unbreakable that was part of it so I doubt they will be doing anything about it or at least bit any time soon.
