Great, now the one you just dropped chase with hops on a gen, and the next one you run into does the same thing, now you lost 2 gens before you land a hit. What's next?

Game doesn't last long enough for that to happen. Literally 1 hold w, and 1 pallet break in the first chase = 3 gens lost. What's next?

Let me guess, some streamer mentioning holding W and dropping pallets and now everyone it's saying it's OP and complaining about it.
Players have always had to hold W and drop pallets, and now more than ever killers have more slowdown perks, toolboxes were nerfed.
Why is this an issue now?

That's why i'm asking the devs. That way they have to rationalize why it shouldn't be fixed, realize it is broken and needs to be fixed. And then hopefully fix it, so that both sides can have more fun.

they "don't balance for top rank survivors" so don't count on in, survivor will always be balanced for average players

If you're losing gens that easily I think that suggests that the problem isnt holding w and dropping pallets...

Sure it does. There is a difference between running away, looping the killer and winning mindgames (the fun part of the game) and literally just holding w, immediately dropping every pallet you come across and not event attempting to mindgame or save any pallet.
48 seconds is how long it takes to down a survivor if they hold w, drop no pallets, vault no windows, use no perks. Just holding w.

Honestly there's not much the other killers can do about it with the current gen speeds. Hope the survivors are bad or royaly mess up. If not GG I guess.

The type of playstyle you're describing is what rank 20 survivors do, and somehow, at rank 20, killer is much easier than survivor.

This is why i'm a nurse main. But then i get told i'm a "tryhard" or "boring" and survivors DC half the time.

You're right about that but when your faced with run to make distance or die at a pallet against a killer with an antiloop what is the better option?
Unfortunately it works on every killer so it becomes the defacto play.

Right, and when you do, what does the survivor you just dropped chase with do? They jump on a gen, probably spend another 10-15 seconds finding a different survivor. Then what do they do? Hold w and immediately drop pallets. Now you just lost 2 gens instead of 3, but the 3rd is coming soon and you have a 4th starting to get done. Split pressure doens't work at top level play, Tru3 vs oracle proved that.

I'm at red ranks, and most killers I go against who are also red ranks don't seem to be having a problem with any of that. Some killers wont get a kill in some games, like survivors wont escape every game.
I feel like most of these discussions are just based on killer vs 4men swf, which is not all matches, and people shouldnt expect to win every game.

please watch literally any DbD tournament and you'll see that's exactly how every survivor plays

Why would I watch a tournament when I can watch my own games and observe? That is not how all survivors play. And when they do, it's worse because then there's no pallets left for your own chase.

Idk what you mean by "it doesn't address my point." If I understand correctly you're asking what can the other killers do. The answer is "not much unless the survivors are bad or mess up" like I said.
Map design is on their side, objective time is on their side, ease of play is on their side. Without using the top tier killers you won't do very well against a survivor team without a weak link. Most of the killer roster rely on a weak link or mistake to do much. Then you have to find said link in a timely manner. If that doesn't happen you just lose.
So you can pick Spirit, Nurse ect. or play survivor instead. Otherwise you will be under the thumb of "How good the survivors are determine how good this match can potentially go for me." They're all decent? Well GG I guess.
Imo part of the problem is its pretty easy to be "decent", a lot of people are just bad at survivor.

it's how survivors play in tournaments because it's the safest and gens get done far too quickly for the killer to be able to adequately remove enough to end chases quickly, your misunderstanding is showing

SWF does not get a bonus to gen speed last time i checked, it works as long as the survivors just do solo gens

That isn't true. It isn't hard to do it. It's not like they take some extreme skill to just hold shift + w and press spacebar everytime they drop a pallet while their team holds m1 on a gen. I play at high rank survivor too and i never queue with anyone, always solo, and someone escapes in the majority of my games (through the gates, not the hatch) unless the person is playing nurse or spirit or a teammate gives up.

What you're explaining is people playing optimally, which isn't that common in solo q, so yes, that is a swf problem.

The saddest part is that even if you play a loopable killer but the survivors are not up to scratch and fall for basic moonwalking then they just default to shift W meta and win anyway.

it's hardly difficult to just split up on gens, acting like survivors are so incredibly stupid that they can't even do something as basic as that is pretty insulting to the intelligence of the average survivor, i like to think better of people

The easiest way, i have a few ideas.
1) Make NOED base kit, this means survivors now have to do dull totems to prevent NOED. Given that every killer gets NOED it is now no longer a "but i wasted time doing totems" because every killer has it. This will save killers around 2 minutes of game time as survivors search for totems, also encourages them to bring a totem finding perk. Give survivors a non-perk totem counter
2) Make dull totems slow gens down, like each one makes gens take 10% longer, give survivors a non-perk totem counter.
3) A stamina bar like HSH that depletes as you run and makes it so you can't run anymore. This bar could completely fill up every time a survivor vaults a window/pallet or drops a pallet.
These are all just band-aids IMO, and i don't like NOED because its too cheesy. Personally the whole game needs an overhaul and survivors need another objective. The game is balanced around the idea that survivors will hide, do totems and search chests.

It's not difficult, but from my experience in 4.5k hours and most of those being solo q, i'd say over 80% dont do it.
After playing solo q I don't like to think the better of people, because that's just not the reality. I'd rather think worst and not get surprised.

You obviously didn't read the rest of my post, those are all lazy "BHVR are terrible and take forever to do anything" ideas. Although i do think the stamina one is a decent idea. Can you explain why that would be bad? It literally ONLY counters the holding W meta, and encourages survivors to actually loop structures.

Oh trust me this is why you snowball instead of mindlessly chase, if you learn that leaving a chase is a good idea sometimes it benefits you a lot, leave them injured and go for someone else
And something I can't believe I have to mention, DON'T EXPECT TO HAVE 5 OR 3 GENS LEFT EVERY GAME

Please record and share your gameplay if you can, and be it in private messages with me if you are not comfortable sharing it publically. I would genuinely like to help you play better in these instances, but for that I need to see what exactly it is you're struggling with. If survivors just drop pallets and keep running, going around the pallets should usually result in catching up rather swiftly, it does for me anyway.

look and plan ahead. a lot of survivors run on a mental automode and don't expect you to turn to the side to go around. often they briefly mentally bluescreen when you to and stop running

The stamina bar is the worst part of all those ideas. I agree, I have no problem with the totem stuff, but you're just overkilling it with the HW fear.
