Devil’s Nightmare Rare + Ultra Rare Offering!
How it works: Basically a piece of the entity lays within a trapped chest trying to “kill” a survivor. This is a form of distraction. These chests don’t look any different from a regular chest.
When a survivor opens the chest the entity grabs a hold of them trying to “kill them” but this is only really for a distraction. The killer gains a notification to where this is happening, and they can pick the survivor up (almost like how trapper picks up survivors when they’re trapped)
Survivors can also save each other. But is required to do 2 quick skillchecks that can be considered difficult. Survivors cannot die from this trap.
The victim must struggle but there is no timer to it. It’s almost like this piece of the entity is a dusk basically. It won’t leave survivors injuried either however, unless the other survivor has failed the skillchecks.
Once the trap activates the chest will remain open, and that piece of the entity will be gone. Any items will still be left behind. (Rare Offering only)
Rare offering: affects 2 chests only
Ultra rare offering: affects 2 chests only (items will be consumed)
I know this sounds very killer-sided and this is coming from a survivor main but it can totally make a difference or a different change for once yknow? Idk lmao.
Tell me what you think!!

I'm sure that there's some nuance that makes this a horrible idea once the balance police come around but I think it's an interesting idea! +1

I already had to deal with enough Mimics in Dark Souls, I don't need anymore in my life.

Maybe if it was a perk I'd use it, that does too much as an offering.1

That is a good idea but instead of 2 chest in the rare offer i would think is better in only one chest1

If made a perk then have it set to teir 3 the claws can impale and wound a survivor but if injured it drags them inside and the is a timer and the box is highlighted in red for both survivors and the killer and if the killer gets there first they can destroy it and kill the survivor if a survivor finds it there friends freed and the chest disappears but there friend suffers from broken like nomither0

And if no one arrives the chest rises into the air like your sacrificed
