What killers need reworks?
I think most people here and there make a post about a killer needing a rework. I think there are several killers that just can't play competitively compared to some others.

Spirit and Myers.
Spirit because she is broken killer and need changes.
Myers because he is outdated and so weak.
13 -
Nurse
Feel free to crucify me now
9 -
Trickster, legion, trapper, clown, michael, nea

I do not think any killer needs a full rework.
I do however think that some killers need some serious buffs:
Trapper, legion, pig, ghostface, myers, clown, trickster and my favorite, nemesis, come to mind
5 -
rework of course spirit
for deleting legion
0 -
Nurse, but that is just wishful thinking.
Legion, because with their current Power, they cannot really be buffed.
Other Killers just need Tweaks or Buffs/Nerfs, but no Reworks.
3 -
Can't really buff Legion without making him broken again.
He needs a rework.
1 -
Trickster and twins.
I don't think these two will ever be good without being frustrating to play and the dev executed them horribly and I hope they can change them for the better.
1 -
Trapper, Myers, Spirit, Legion, Twins and Freddy

Rework; Spirit.
Buffs; Mikey, Trapper, Pig, Clown, Trickster, Legion.

Nurse,myers

i think any killer who has to waste time chasing because there only downing capability is there basic or lunge attacks. like legion, ghost face, you know.
at that point, even if they are the best, the odds are always stacked against them. when a surv gets to a loop or pallet, they have no choice but to wait for bloodlust.
at least that's how i see it.

Nurse, her current version is just broken by design.
Trapper and Shape, both are outdated
Spirit, needs real counterplay
Possibly Legion, due to his power being practically useless on injured survivors
1 -
Anyone saying Spirit might as well be holding up a sign that says they aren't good at survivor
0 -
I think it'll be Trickster as hes about to become a dc machine, not because of strength but because of annoyance.

Spirit, Legion, Nemesis, Myers, Trickster, Twins, Hag, Trapper, Leatherface, Hillbilly, Freddy, Wraith, and Spirit again.

Just Myers, Freddy, Clown, Legion and maybe Spirit

So a lot of killers are not on par huh?
0 -
If they rework (like proper rework) Legion, I'd love to see something similar with the Twins where you can swap between Legion members.
2 -
None. maps and tile design are the problem.
Maps are too big and the tiles are way to safe against non ranged killers and even some range killers. Add to this the recent changes have stacked maps with loads of LOS blockers that ruin the range killers that they have added and gutted billy.

I'd be open for Trapper rework. More elaborate traps will be interesting besides bear traps (tree traps, branch stun traps).
Other than that, I think the overall state of most killers is good. We don't need top tier killers all the time. Even trickster has a unique style and power that separates him from Huntress and Deathslinger. Im getting more appreciation as time goes on.
Trapper did get a small buff from Small Game mechanics changing, but still struggles due to time it takes to set up. Hag/Demo/Freddy don't have to go look for more traps or portals. Once they are destroyed or tripped they respawn. Trapper doesn't make sense to do this, so he should have the power to create traps that are separate from bear traps. We can argue huntress and trickster have similar issues, but even then they get 5 and 60 as base kit when they want to use them, while Trapper gets 2 by default and they may never be tripped.

Any Killer that killer-mains say they are weak, and survivor-mains say they are boring to go against. Like Clown and Trickster.

rework as in actual rework?
Nurse and Twins.
everyone elses problems can be addressed by tweaking their powers, some buffs and / or nerfs should do the trick.
do keep in mind that "rework" means scrapping the current power and replacing it with a new one, as they did with Freddy. buffing / nerfing something or adding a secondary part to it / changing a small portion of it (as was the case with Clown (yellow bottles) and Doctor (removal of treatment mode, addition of static blast)) doesnt count as such.

Twins and Legion.
Current Twins design is just profoundly annoying; the killer plays best when slugging and camping and that can't really be fixed without fundamentally changing how they work. Charlotte needs to be less pointless; as it is, she's Victor's body cleanup and occasional hook guarder, not much more.
Legion is in an odd position where they're quite weak and easily countered, but their power can't be buffed without switching them to completely broken like they were before. Needs to go back to the drawing board.
Everyone else can be fixed by more minor tweaks, addon passes, QOL fixes, and expansions (or in the case of Spirit, reductions) to their current powers. (Spirit needs to give more feedback about when she's using her power and needs her addons nerfed, particularly movement speed.)

Spirit, because its hard to touch her without making her too weak

I feel like Trickster and Nemesis are killers who will teeter on making chases extremely short and nigh unwinnable for survivors if buffed in their current form. They need reworks imo. Though I think reducing vaccines to 2 or something would be better than removing the speed boost on infection he currently has.
The rest I agree with. Micheals is long overdue.

hill billy, Michael, spirit

Definitely Trapper. I feel like pig could use a rework too. After you use her traps, she's basically just an m1 killer with a big ol lunge. Nurse is broken, and I feel like they could turn her into something more people could pick up on way easier. Clown for sure. Bubba 100%. The Twins. I feel like most of the other killers are fun to play against and have interesting/ fun mechanics to play with and against.

Twins, trapper, myers.
Twins is just poorly designed and encourages camping.
Trapper needs some big changes to compete in the game in the current day. I'd give him some ability that lets him move quickly when someone steps in a trap. And i mean like REALLY quicky.
Myers is also old. I'd like to see him made into like a "raid boss" where he goes through different "phases" and each tier of EW is viable to play in and around.
Nurse also probably needs to be reworked because she breaks the game. But we first need to address the fact that in competitive high level play she is the only viable killer.

Myers needs a rework, he's too outdated at his current state. My idea was to give him a secondary stalk that allows him to generate evil on survivors.

Y'all just listing killers without saying what you would change.
Here's a classic one: Trapper - give him two (2) traps as base kit. The community has been asking for that for years.

Freddy definitely needs a change. Being stuck with a watered down version of his new and boring power is not a good thing.
As for how to rework him, here is my idea:
Power: Dream Demon
Pull survivors into the Dream World
-Survivors who are awake do not see The Nightmare.
-Once targeted by The Nightmare’s power, survivors enter the Dream Transition for 7 seconds.
-The Nightmare’s Movement Speed Penalty for putting a survivor into the Dream Transition lasts for 1 second.
-During the Dream Transition Survivors can see The Nightmare intermittently and they suffer from the Incapacitated status effect.
-When the Dream Transition Lapse, the Survivor is pulled into the Dream World.
Once in the Dream World:
-Survivor’s auras are revealed to The Nightmare when they are outside of his terror radius.
-Survivors suffer an action speed penalty of 40%.
-To exit the Dream World, Survivors can find non-sleeping Survivors to perform a wake up action.
-Failed Generator Skill Checks can also wake up.
-Hooked Survivors wake up.
Special Ability: Dream Projection
-Teleport to a Generator in view. Releasing the button early will cancel the action.
-Survivors cannot interact with the targeted Generator.
-For each Survivor in the Dream World, the cool-down of using Dream Projection is reduced by stack-able 20%.
“You have nothing to worry about. This won’t hurt one… little… bit.” -Freddy Krueger
I also have add-ons, if you wish to take a look:
Wool Shirt:
-Slightly decreases Skill Check chances in the Dream World.
Sheep Block:
Slightly reduces Dream Transition time.
-Time to fall asleep is reduced by 0.5 seconds.
Kid’s Drawing:
Slightly increases Dream Demon range.
Garden Rake:
Slightly increases Movement speed while casting Dream Demon.
Prototype Claws:
Moderately increases Movement speed after successfully putting a Survivor into the Dream Transition.
Outdoor Rope:
While Survivors are in the Dream World:
Applies a moderate (-6%) Action Speed penalty to Repair, Healing, and Sabotage actions.
Nancy’s Sketch:
Moderately increases Dream Demon range
Green Dress:
Considerably decreases Skill Check chances in the Dream World.
Slightly decreases Dream Projection cool-down for each sleeping Survivor.
Cat Block:
Moderately reduces Dream Transition time.
-Time to fall asleep is reduced by 1 second.
Unicorn Block:
Considerably reduces Dream Transition time.
-Time to fall asleep is reduced by 1.5 seconds.
Swing Chains:
Survivors suffer from an increased Action Speed penalty of 60% after 30 seconds in the Dream World
Survivors only see glimpses of The Nightmare during the Dream Transition.
Nancy’s Masterpiece:
Tremendously increases Dream Demon range.
Jump Rope:
Tremendously decreases Survivors' Action speed when in the Dream World.
Blue Dress:
Moderately decreases Skill Check chances in the Dream World.
Moderately decreases Dream Projection cool-down for each sleeping Survivor.
“I had to keep you awake long enough so when you finally slept… you would never wake up again” -Freddy Krueger
Pill Bottle:
Survivors do not see The Nightmare during the Dream Transition.
Paint Thinner:
Tremendously increases Movement speed after successfully pulling a Survivor into the Dream Transition.
Class Photo:
-When a Survivor is pulled into the Dream Transition, all other Survivors' Auras are revealed to The Nightmare for the duration of the Dream Transition.
-Tremendously increases Dream Transition time.
Time to fall asleep is increased by 2 seconds.
“Z” Block:
Tremendously reduces Dream Transition time.
-Time to fall asleep reduced by 2 seconds.
Red Paint Brush:
-Tremendously decreases The Nightmare's Terror Radius.
-Tremendously reduces Dream Transition time.
Time to fall asleep is reduced by 2 seconds.
-Survivors suffer from a Hindered penalty during the Dream Transition
“Don’t be afraid. I can make it the way it was... Just the way you liked it” -Freddy Krueger
Black Box:
-Broken pallets are replaced by Dream Pallets
-Non-sleeping survivors cannot see or interact with Dream Pallets
“I can sleep… I just don’t want to” -Dean Russell

Man I forgot about Freddy, really goes to show how forgettable his current power is. I've probably said this before, but we can't forget that he needs this rework!
1 -
Depends what u mean by rework
If you mean the full rework like Freddy had then none and it shouldn't have happened in the first place
If you mean like doctor's or clowns where they just add to the excisting kit then a couple of killers could use that. Trapper and Myers come to mind
1 -
The ptb will reveal how trickster performs with his buffs so we'll see
I honestly think however that the speed boost for infection is too punishing for nemesis and actively works against using his power. It should be removed
If they REALLY want to keep it in for some reason, they could just massively increase the hindered status he inflicts because right now the 0.25 seconds aren't really useful
Your idea with reducing vaccines is interesting though. I never considered this. Maybe a combination of reduced vaccines and increased hindered could also work out

And so it is. I guess that is what happens when you take the most unique killer in the game and makes him the most generic one.
But hey, I am glad to see you like my idea! I aimed for what I believe it would be a perfect power, and it warms my heart to see that I might have succeeded.
Did you like the add-ons?
"If you mean the full rework like Freddy had then none and it shouldn't have happened in the first place"

I don't know about rework, but Trapper for sure needs quality of life changes. More then he already has. Maybe change some of his add-ons a little more again. Kind of wish they would make Legion better. Same with Pig
0 -
I think they're pretty cool. I like how you kept his dream pallets with an iridescent add-on. The add-ons look very fun to use, and I would love to use Paint Thinner!
1 -
I just want to point out the difference between rework and buffs. Buffs are just upgrades to the existing kit. Number changes and things like that. Reworks are like completely overhauling the killer. Old Freddy and New Freddy being the prime example.
0 -
I am glad to hear it! Thankfully most of Old Freddy's add-ons were already fun, and I sure did my best keep them that way, even the ones I had to change (Black Box, Swing Chains).
You know, Freddy truly tells a sad tale. He started as a perfectly designed killer, only to get undeservedly nerfed a week later. Then he eventually gets a rework which destroys everything that made him fun and unique. This isn't right.
Wish we could change it.

Yeah, poor Freddy needs to get some rest after his next rework, if he gets another, one day. BHVR has taken him on a rough journey.
