Gen tapping
So can we buff how much gens regress when a killer kicks it? Reduce the regression from pop if you need to.
I just hate how in mid chase any survivor spends a sec to stop the regression and the killer has that lengthy animation.

Gen regression is so weak anyways, only ruin and pop pick up the slack, really.

It's really broken with vs any swf...you chase one around a loop and then gen tap(reason why you cannot commit to a chase).
Leads to boring 3 gen games so whatever😂

Yeah. I love how it takes Killers 3 seconds to kick a gen, but Survivors take 1 frame of animation to stop it.
I think the devs once said Survivors were not supposed to be able to gen-tap like they do, but then shrugged and let it continue, because Survivors need to be happy. 🤷♂️

I wish it took survivors the same amount of time to stop regression as it does the killer to kick :<

that's what i been sayin. they gotta stay on that gen to stop that regression

I'd prefer it if after a gen is kicked, a survivor has to work on the gen for however long (without letting go of the gen) to end the regressing first before they can continue to make progress?

This, we already solved this like we solved so many thing...
Just up to the devs to implement...

There are people who aren't running Ruin?!

Gen tapping is fine. If you cant defend gens you are basically a bad killer.

You can say that again. Those games when you lose it in the first minute and all there is to do is cry... and wish you brought a more stable perk.
But those games where it lasts the entire duration? Easy MONAYY!

If it would have been something that benefited killer it would have been nerfed already🙄

Gen tapping is broken...they need to have the regression be at least 5 percent with the kick

That works as well🙂

Use Dragon's Grip.

I'd rather they make kicking a gen immediately take off 5% of progress, then regress normally, then we can nerf pop to be 20% so it stays a total of 25%.
5% of progress isn't much. It's 4 seconds, and given that a killer spends 3 seconds kicking a gen i'd say that is pretty fair. Killers are only 1 person so they should be more efficient in what they do.

I don't run any hexes, period. Too unreliable with how poorly spawns work. "Oh, just run Undying" you might say. Two perk slots that become non-perks simultaneously in under thirty seconds is worthless.

I mean if it were that simple, many others would already use it. As things are now, Dragon's grip does not warrant as much need over other perks like hex ruin and undying, as well as sloppy butcher and corrupt intervention or pop.
My favorite fix that was thought of was having baseline gen regression increased to 150% with a 3% taken off with the kick itself, Ruin's regression reduced so that it regresses as much as it does on live, and reduce pop's burst a smidge so that it does what it does on live. Basically nerf ruin and pop so that they have lower numbers, but still do what they do on live. Like how BHVR made Demo move the same speed with rat liver, but increased base charging and reduced the percentage on rat liver.

I mean, ya'll can tunnel a survivor out and completely ruin their game... so.....

Hard agree, gen regression meta is getting boring I want to be able to run fun perks.

Honestly I've suggested a 2.5% instant damage to the kick a few times, as repair speed is 1.25%/s before bonuses so base kit it would force survivors to go even with the killer in the 2 second investment, so whatever regression the killer manages to secure on top of that is actually felt. This would also cause gen tapping to be more risk/reward as obviously if you are only tapping it you aren't taking the 2 seconds to recover the previous kick damage, but its also not so much regression to always be the right choice in every situation.
Unfortunately it takes 3 minutes for survivors to finish 5 generators, comfortably. BHVR has to increase the value of pressure on survivors for the gen regression meta to relax.

I don't think they are going to do anything about gen regression unfortunately...it is even more ridiculous with brand new parts and prove thyself
