Gen speeds are too fast
I'm talking mostly at the start of the game, you could chase a person for 30-50 seconds 1 gen pops because a survivor is using povethyself and a 2 toolkits. Around 10 seconds later comes the 2nd gen. An this is within the first 2 minuets of the game. If you don't see anything wrong you ill.

You just described a slow game :|

It's definitely a pain and a good reason why corrupt intervention is such a nice perk (unless you running hexs, then it's a sure way to lose your bones). It can really feel like a coin flip at the start of the game when you decide to apply pressure in a fast down if possible or frantically pressuring gens.

Surprisingly, this should be considered normal. A lot if killers forget that 2 gens done means 2 gens less to patrol, especially if its 2 next to eachother. The very act of those gens popping means passive pressure increase. All you need to do now is pressure gens you want to keep, and kick people off the others now and then. Treat every killer a bit like trapper. The more gens done, the smaller your territory, the less you need to defend. You just need to identify where the best territory is and guide survivors away from it to force a 3/4 gen.
I actually suggest avoiding corrupt unless your killer needs prep time or you need to find a survivor Immediately, as it may push survivors to do gens that split the map in two.

I guess you could have that perspective but when you play a killer slower than usual and they spread the last 3 gens out its hard. But the issue now is survivor will now run in a straight line and you can't compete

And the answer to this stupid strat is the all mighty Shift W. I have had to deal with multiple killers 3 genning from the second the game loads in today and it isn't difficult if the rest of your team does the same.
See the killer or hear the terror rad? Shift W to an empty part of the map. If he gives chase then you just won the game for your team GG
It only works on really really clueless solo players.

Fair, hold w has broken it a bit.

This is the standard way of playing killer, the issue lies in how much pressure you managed to create before you're down to 3 gens, if you haven't had chance to create any substantial pressure then it comes down to pure map rng, 3 survivor's on a 3 gen is very different than 4, I'm not saying gen speed needs nerfing but playing just for the 3 gen at the start of the game is bad strategy, it should be set up for late game sure but ultimately someone needs to go before you get there unless the gens are on top of each other which is rare.

Just had a match as Huntress on Badham. Constantly switched targets, kept everyone injured, no camping, no tunneling and i got a whooping 2 hooks before all gens were completed. Because instead of healing, survivors just were glued to gens and instantly went back to repair, after i broke the chase. They were so busy gen rushing, that they left a survivor behind who was downed at the exit gate and died on the first hook with 4k points. Where is the fun in that?

telling you, Gen Rushing all day today.... with the higher level peeps too.... not sure whats going on. they need to slow that crap down.

I think the best way to balance this would be to introduce more objectives like gas cans or parts. The Badham maps have already been reworked, so i doubt the devs will resize them again any time soon. Before and after that match i had Red Forest and Temple of Purgation. Both went way better than the Bedham disaster.

Doing gens is super boring. Best is to make NOED basekit for killers so us survivors feel the need to do totems also, and give survivors a good basekit buff to compensate. Or I should not say best but the best I can think of right now 😀

It takes roughly 3 minutes for survivors to finish 5 generators, without breaking much of a sweat in all honesty. This sort of thing is what leads to the hyper intense slugging/camping/tunneling meta that most survivors are suffering in at the moment as there is no single strategy, perk, or mechanic that relieves survivor snowball than to immediately kill off a survivor as fast as possible.

Assuming 1 survivor in a chase, it takes the 3 remaining survivors 80 seconds to finish 3 gens. Assuming the 1 survivor lasts 80 seconds and 1 other survivor goes to unhook, that leaves the 2 remaining survivors on the last 2 gens for 80 seconds. Even accounting for 20-30 seconds of travel time to the new generators, thats still only 190~ seconds just barely more than 3 minutes in-game. Gen speeds/regression is the problem for sure. The value of downing one survivor just isn't anywhere near enough.

Gen speed is an issue. Simply mathematically, a killer can't and won't be able to keep 4 players at the same time from doing gens. Since gens are the only objective, 2 or 3 will permanently be on gens. So it's very much possible for survivors to complete all gens in 4 minutes or less.
If killers would constantly kill everyone in 4 minutes, then the forum would be flooded with killer nerf threads.

And makes Lery's, Glendale etc.. unplayable..

Gens still go quick no matter the maps. If you think gen speed is fine, don't complain about camping or tunneling. Is the Map really an issue when I'm in a survivor sided map and I'm downing them quickly but gens still pop and they escape anyway?

It takes 80 seconds to repair a generator, not 120.
If you have 3 survivors on separate generators, that only takes 160 seconds plus travel time (so maybe 200 tops) to do all five generators. So yeah, that's roughly in line with "three minutes".

The problem is that the game is decided at the 3rd gen. If a single survivor is killed off before the 3rd gen, then the game is pretty much lost. Yeah, it aggravating that the gens go fast for killers, but it's also aggravating that survivors have to have done 3 gens before any of the survivors dies.
