The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

Should Insidious be removed/reworked?
I honestly feel this perk is used largely for toxic reasons (Camping basement more than anything)
Cause i doubt this thing is any useful outside of that, even camping gens, since we already have Trial of Torment which serves the purpose better since you can actually move.

Insidious is fine. The problem is how many players lack imagination to use Insidious beyond hook camping.

You can hide near gens that you’re confident survivors will quickly return to. You can confuse survivors mid chase at loops with LoS blockers by just stopping. You can ambush survivors at the main building when survivors go for the gen there.

I use it to trick people with spirit, works sometimes as they think you phased and vault right to you

You can camp behind an exit gate with Nurse using NoEd and Blood Warden and hope they pick your gate.

Yeah spirit is fine right?

Should be reworked from the ground up, it’s only used for one reason 99% of the time.

They should rework it so when you stand still you gain undetectable for 30 seconds which will have a cooldown after using for 80/70/60 seconds this would fix the camping issue while making it a good perk

Insidious is a fun meme perk. No change needed
2 -
Yes it should. How about this:
Insidious:
After getting stunned or blinded you gain 10% Haste for 8/9/10 seconds.
Insidious has a cooldown off 30 seconds.

I love it on Hag with her teleporting. You can really confuse survivors mid chase.

My rework idea I've had for a long time is the following:
Your deep connection to the entity has made you an exceptional predator.
Everytime you hook a survivor you gain the undetectable status effect for 30 seconds. Insidious may only trigger once every 80/70/60 seconds.

If it was that easy to use, how come it isn't meta? I mean, wouldn't Pig, Wraith, Ghoshface, and Myers be OP as well? I don't think it's as simple as you make it appear, unfortunately, but I wish it was because that perk is so useless.

I've been thinking of a change to insidious but it's just a kinda cheap tinkerer.
My change would be something like "after a gen is completed you have 1 down without TR".
But I know this is like the bbq vs bitter murmur topic a while ago.

Insidious is not good for hook camping anymore since the new BT buff. Of course if someone doesn't have BT and didn't know the killer was there, that is different, but not much different than if the killer was just camping and not trying to hide. I'd actually argue that it's better if they try to hide because you can coordinate hits better... since they don't know what's going on infront of the hook.

How about this?
Insidious— When a survivor is hooked, this perk activates and for 20/25/30 seconds after there's no more survivors hooked. While activated, gain the Undetectable Status Effect when further than 24 meters to all hooked survivors.1 -
It is a perk of it's time. Back when the game first came out it had its purpose, but over the years it's become irrelevant. I don't think anything should be removed from the game, but this definitely could use a rework.

I knew I was right about you...cultured af.

My guess is that it’s counterintuitive to many players to just stand still in many instances, and wait for survivors to come to them (except at hooks)

🤣 I guess I’m taking this as a compliment

To be fair, I have seen a LOT of people place Ghostface at tiers ahead of the last one. Rofl. It exposes survivors really hard when they don't have terror radius to carry them. Sadly it boosted me while playing Freddy too.

Ohhhhh. Yeah i dig that

The only time I've ever seen this perk used successfully is by facecamping Bubbas. And its not because they lacked "imagination." The activation timer is too long to use mid-chase against anyone who isn't bad. And Trail of Torment and even Tinkerer can be used to sit near gens (if you're into that) but without the ability to ruin someone's game by facecamping them and having a team of solos not realize it.
This is a poorly designed perk. If the team really wants to curb toxic behavior, get rid of it. There are better, more healthy stealth perks these days anyway, so at the very least rework it for the sake of not having yet another bad perk in the game.

That sounds even better!
