I have an idea for a Nemesis Tier 4!

I bet a lot of Nemesis mains or just anyone who plays Nemesis knows that Tier 3 Nemesis is absolutely worthless 90% of the time. So, I was thinking what they could do for a Tier 4. Tier 4 would be just a bit harder to unlock than Tier 3 but this is how it would go.

Tier 4 Boosts:

Increases Range from 6 meters to 7 meters

When hitting a survivor with the Tentacle attack it infects and takes a health state. This does not apply when the survivor is in the injured state

what do you think?

They have to do something. When I play Nemesis and reach Tier 3 I am asking myself: "Why should I even use my power?" and stay M1 for the rest of the match with StBfL.

You won't need a tier 4 for that. Just have 4 crates around the map with a rocket launcher which can be opened with tentacle when in tier 3 and then it puts you back to tier 2 after you use that rocket shot.

When i have tier 3, survivors already infected or most vaccines already gone. So i don't understand your T4 idea.

Saying that it's worthless tells me that you do not understnad what's tier 3 giving you. It's not just an increased range, thats actually the lesser effect. The great thing about Tier 3 is his significantly shorter cooldown after striking with the tentacle. This allows you to somewhat spam the tentacle without giving up to much distance due to the cooldown. With Tier 1 and 2, it is really painful if you miss the tentacle, with tier 3 it's only a nuisance.

No real issue here with your suggestion.

I can only speak for myself, but I’m in T3 in the very early game. What you’re suggesting (infecting + injure in one M2) would be a bit strong, IMO, especially for how EZ tiering up is.

Going off your suggestion, your T4 status would have to be on a time limit at minimum to not be seriously broken for lower-skilled(ranked) players. After all, the map only has 4 vaccines, or 3 with an add-on…surpassing the stage of free infection just doesn’t sit right in my head for some reason.

A cooldown reduction would be nice

I still want the rocket launcher in the game in SOME way - maybe a mutation rate 4, or when all supply crates are opened a special supply crate appears somewhere in the trial that Nemesis can open for a rocket launcher with one shot. Instadowns but very slow to charge up and fire, red tracking dot so survivors know where it's going to go, whatever you need to make it balanced.

I don't know, I'm just not a fan of Nemesis' only ability being the Tentacle Strike. When you think of Nemesis you don't think of a mediocre, really short tentacle, you think of his ludicrous speed and missile launcher. It'd be like if Pyramid Head used his spear instead of the Great Knife.

the tier 3 is overlooked, that extra length makes a big difference , so many hits that i cant get in 1 or 2 i get in 3 , and people act like getting to tier 3 takes more then 30 seconds, especially with addons

    Tier lll

Once reaching maximum mutation, press the active ability button to transition to the next tier.

    Tier lV

Removes the ability to perform a basic attack and tentacle strike. Gain a 15% haste effect and 40% action speed.

Unlocks special attack: Rocket Launcher — Press the active ability button to start aiming, then after a moderate cool-down, press again to confirm the target location. Survivors within 2 meters of the blast radius will be put into the dying status and survivors within 2-8 meters of the blast radius will stumble.

After being in tier lV for 30 seconds, automatically regress back to tier lll.

Overall, increased the amount of mutation required to reach tiers ll and lll.

Its the same speed. There's just a placebo as the tentacle retracts faster in the animation.

If it worked like myers tier 3 it could help his mutation rate add ons from becoming useless 5 minutes into the match

If tier 3 was an add on for nemesis, it would be like his best one, it really isn’t insignificant.

I like Nemesis but his power feels underwhelming.

Why do survivors have to infected before taking hits from his M2? That detriments him as it gives them a speed boost without losing a health state while Nemesis still has to recover from his M2.

I played a lot of nemesis and I don't find his t3 useless at all, on paper that 1m sounds like nothing but when it comes to catching people and how useful it is I can see why it's balanced that way, it's like that tiny bit that's missing from making the reach great.

A lot of people claim he's underpowered, he feels really balanced for me, though in DBD balanced doesn't put you in the spotlight as opposed to broken.

Edit: just to add to my counter argument against popular opinion, in the countless games I've played ive always had great experiences with the zombies, their random nature can be hilarious or just the random tracking information can be super useful. A completely random element to the match and if they bug out just mutate off them and they respawn in 12 seconds. If you lock me in an area for too long the zombois will eventually join in.

He has issues, which should be fixed.

Zombies get stuck all the time.

You can't hit over loops or windows when survivors crouch.

Tier 3, which is quite hard to get without addons is joke.

I don't really care about tier 3, I just pretend it doesn't exist and play around tier 2, but zombies and crouching should get fixed.

I would love the idea of Nemesis having further evolution stages outside of tier 3, with each one giving something extra. The extra 1m is actually quite strong, but the main issue everyone seems to have is that that is all we get as our final power spike.

My idea is that as he continues to mutate he gains some kind of passive effects as well similar to Myers, e.g. increased lunge range, increased vault speed, etc. And maybe he could get a cooldown reduction on successful attacks. Or maybe when he is in a higher tier, whenever he Tentacle Strikes an infected survivor he gets a brief Killer Instinct on other Infected survivors.

But the main changes he needs loads of bugfixes, especially the one where a survivor can crouch to counter his entire ability.

Yeah, I really hope that crouching is bug and not counter-play they wanted, because it is super brainless and negates his power completely.

but having more tiers with weaker effects would be really interesting, but amount of infections you need would have to be reduced for it. Getting tier 3 without any addons takes a lot of time already and you just don't get much for it. That's main issue.
