Why’s the grind suddenly so heavily talked about?
it feels like recently a month ago, the “DBD grind” seems to be a lot more talked about.
the DBD grind is not a joke, in fact, it’s stupid, but it feels so confusing for it be a bigger topic more recently, how come it wasn’t mentioned way earlier?
im not defending the grind, I’m just asking why it’s suddenly a big house talk.

Because everyone's suddenly getting double bloodpoints, or 525% bloodpoints, and we're all seeing just how much more livable the game is with it.
Though the grind has always been a topic. Cakes just throw it into harsh relief.

Ah alrighty, thanks for the answer

Anniversary cakes being in play, and the fact that at least 6 new perks with 3 tiers each all come every 3-4 months.
Bloodwebs are getting more bloated, and p3ing a new character now is a lot more time consuming

Huh? The grind is constantly complained about, just like all the other problems the game has. The complaints just wax and wane as people get sick of being ignored by The Great And Holy BHVR, til the frustration mounts again.
Maybe if they actually did something about this most basic and easy-to-solve problem, there would be one less thing to complain about.

It will be even worse when event ends and we wake up back into the grind as we know it all year long

Well said :)

New players joining and leaving once they discover the daunting grind ahead of them.
They need to fix it and no.. none of this legacy crap. I got screwed over with og legacy because i did what i was supposed to do and spread my points instead of just hoarding them in a single character.

Yeah. Pretty sure the grind is posted about daily, regardless of if an event is going on. Devs are looking into it. Whatever that means. Many viable solutions have been posted repeatedly on here, but nothing ever happens.

When did they say they were “looking into it”? I haven’t seen anything from the devs about addressing the grind. Maybe I missed it though

Part of it is that the grind grows in a non linear fashion.
The last chapter didn't just bring Nemesis to max out. Oh no no no. Now all of your 23 other Killers now need Blood Points if you want to run Lethal Pursuer, Eruption, or Hysteria.
This chapter was especially bad for Survivors since they got 2 new Characters and 6 new Perks.

Because it takes weeks sometimes just to earn enough bp to make decent builds & alot of new players joined so they're suffering. They look up any meta build & all of them have teachable perks from 4 different characters.

I don't understand, why do BHVR so proactively insist on keeping the grind here? It's not like they get much extra profit from it: DLC buyers still have to grind to the bone. So what is it then?

Because people feel like talking about it. It's an issue that needs solving.

Just a problem thats always been in the game but with each chapter it gets just a little bit worse and I suppose it's just reached its boiling point.

Its always been talked about....there's just never been anything really done about it aside from adding more perks to each wheel.

Because the grind is insane as of right now there's 84 Killer perks and 95 survivor perks and with tiers that's 252 for killers 285 for survivors. Yes I know you're not going to get every perk but in order to get a teachable you either have to get lucky on the shrine or level that character up. And until later in the levels you only get 1 perk per blood web. Not counting doing 50 bloodwebs over if you want prestige cosmetics or if you want to play multiple characters. It's also extremely prevalent on the killer side as well do test synergy/fun of perks with certain killers.

We need more bloodpoints in games.
Would love an increase to the cap as well as a boost to score event amounts.

I would like to see perk tiers removed it literally triples the grind
