My Billy Change Idea, And Why Overheat Can Be Good For the Game When Made Properly

The overheat mechanic as an idea is good, it punishes players for misusing the chainsaw and adds some resource management into the game. The problem is that it also punishes players for using the chainsaw properly or trying to use it in creative ways. As an avid Billy player myself, and someone who also enjoys 1v1ing Hillbillies, I have an idea for a change that could keep the devs' idea of overheat alive while also rewarding players for using it well.

So here's my suggested change, it's quite simple;

Reset the overheat meter back to 0 after hitting a survivor with the chainsaw. That's it.

My reasoning is that it still punishes you for missing with the chainsaw, and by default you only overheat after attempting a curve 3-4 times. However, no matter how good you are with it and no matter how consistently you can hit curves, the ability to snowball is completely removed by the fact the overheat meter exists. This change still punishes players for playing poorly, but rewards those who want to down multiple survivors in a row.

A valid counterargument could be that other killers like Blight and Leatherface have to recharge tokens, and that's true, but their power is also objectively stronger under the control of an average player and their tokens regenerate faster than Billy's overheat goes down.

What do you guys think about the change? Is it not enough to bring Billy back to his former level of fun, or is it unfair compared to other killers with token systems?
