Why 44 blades specifically?
The Trickster got his total blades reduced to 44 from the PTB. I'm not complaining about the change, but I am wondering why they decided on reducing it to 44 blades specifically.
Since its now 6 blades to injure a survivor, if you were to hit hit every blade perfectly with the new blade count, you would do 7 states of damage, but now you have 2 blades left over that are useless since you can't injure them. I would have thought they would reduce it to a multiple of 6, like 42 or 48.
It's not a major complaint or anything, I just found it weird.

Honestly I want it to be either 40 or 50 because 44 is just such an off number it bothers me a lot.

the worst part is you can't even fix it to get to 50 with addons since you only have +4 knives and +8 knives so you can have 48 knives, 52 knives or 56 knives, but no clean number that ends in a 0

Because survivors started complain about him (one of the weak killer) and devs felt like "maybe we buffed him so much, lets him nerf little". But he is already weak, even with buffs.

Well 48 is divisible by 6 so that would end in 0 but you are right about the others.
EDIT: Nvm you were talking about the total blade count, not about whether it divides by 6 or not.

It’s not a nerf, it’s just a reduction in blades to stay in line with how many knives it takes to injure.

You kinda missed the point of OP's thread. They didn't ask why Trickster's count was nerfed. They asked why the devs went with such a specific number.

Makes no sense.
45 knives would've made sense. 44 knives just feels random. Like "WHAT IF we reduced his knives to compensate for the buff? 7.5 healthstates means he only needs 45 knives." "Let's go further." "What?!" "44 knives!" "BRILLIANT!"

The worst for me is the nerf on the addons. Seriously, why would I run something that gives me extra 4 knives? That's not even a health state...

Well if you add 4 to 44 you get 48 which is 8 health states instead of 7.33

This whole "total health states" is just nonsensical. You can't hit 48 knives without missing a single one even if you are a god Trickster with an aimbot due to that spread and recoil.

Oh no, looks like Trickster players have to be at least slightly concerned about accuracy now rather than just spam.
You can still take 7 health states with 2 knives to spare. Or let’s say you only hit 24 knives out of 44, that’s still 4 health states.
Also there’s that iri add on which recharges knives after using Main event.

4 is concidert a unlucky number in korea. Kinda like western countries concider 13 to be unlucky
The Chinese character for the word “death” is pronounced “sah”. This is the same sound as the Korean “four.”
So it's seen as a death number.
So specifically 44 knives is actually pretty dope flavour wise

Eh it's not that big of a deal tbh.
If you hit 30 of those 44 knives you have 5 healthstates on top of now much better main event which at the very least is another healthstate.
You need to be more accurate yes but that isn't a bad thing

In overall trickster got buffed but this aspect of zrickster got nerfed since it used to be stronger.
