I'm here to complain about pointless sets again
Why are outfit pieces that don't need to be sets locked? For example, Kate's new outfit has no reason locking the headpiece to the dress. Same for Elodie and in fact Blights entire new outfit looks fine de-linked, it's just a restyle of his default so I don't understand why it's being sold as an entire set. What's the point of killing individuality in outfit mixing? Why would I want to look exactly like everyone else who buys the set? It's the reason people resorted to glitching sets in the first place.

If you don't like the idea of outfit sets, don't buy them.

Blight's make sense since it's not actually the Blight, it's a Legendary set
But I agree with other linked sets, if the head isn't linked to the outfit like the onesie skins then it should be seperate

Price gouging. Sets and very rare-only cosmetics are a big middle finger to the community, but it turns a profit so they'll keep doing it.

Remember when they used to do Green Rarity skins? There were usually 2/3 different varations so people could choose their preferred color. I miss those times, now we only get Purple Rarity skins

It's not Legendary, stop falsely spreading that.
Way to invalidate someone's complaint.

I like the outfits but not the fact that I can't mix them. What's the point of locking parts that are 100% interchangeable without clipping and yet forcing it to be locked anyway?

I mean, there has to be a reason they keep making them. People ARE buying them.
I personally don't buy cosmetics, so I don't really care.

I'll leave this here. they're both the same thing

I think regardless, if you haven't taken a close look at the skin or glitched it yourself to see what it looks like unlinked, it is just an edit of original blight. He isn't really a different character and the pieces look cohesive when delinked. They don't clip and match well with other cosmetic pieces. My entire point is that sets should NOT be sets if they don't have to be. Obviously Chris should not be linked onto Leon, etc. But ORIGINAL character cosmetics that DO NOT clip have absolutely ZERO reason to be linked. I will die on this hill.

I'm still mad about the Twins set. I've glitched it and the head and body have zero clipping issues when paired with other cosmetics. The collection trailer didn't even list this outfit as a set so it must have been a last minute decision. I can't come up with a valid reason why they made that outfit a set.

I'm right there with you, most original characters sets make quite literally no sense and it's actually very upsetting. Especially Jane's headpiece in her Greek skin, it's my favorite of hers

I would love to use the weapon on the new Blight skin with my existing Blight cosmetics, but the fact it's locked completely removes any interest I had in it. Unlinked I'd be interested. Can agree it's actively hurting their sales at least here...

You would think a lot of their sales come from microtransactions so it makes you wonder how many actual sales they turned away. Imagine if regular outfits forced you to buy the entire cosmetic, even if you hated the torso section of it. I 100% wouldve bought Kate's Greek headpiece and Jane's Greek headpiece had they not been locked so that's already $8 they're missing out on. Multiply that by the number other people that feel the same way about any section of a set outfit.

They said their licensed cosmetics have to be in sets at the request of the publishers they're licensing content from (which is up for debate), but what's their excuse when it comes to their own IP? It just seems like an excuse to stifle creativity and encourage the unlinking glitches they hate so much. Sorry it had to be something you like.
