I can’t believe this needs to be said again!
If the killer has given up and immediately opened a gate (and gone AFK), PLEASE 👏🏻JUST 👏🏻 LEAVE 👏🏻
Just leave!
No, they’re not coming back over to the gate to give you more boldness points.

No, there’s no point finding them to try and get their attention because it’s almost certain they’ve gone AFK after opening the gate.
You’re not doing the killer any favours.
You’re not doing yourself any favours.
If you wanna play waiting simulator, go back to the lobby and put some tape over your “find match” button.
JUST 👏🏻
LEAVE 👏🏻

Or…just force them out? You are already taking a loss, take the teabags like a man if they are trying to waste your time.
26 -
Or be an adult and don’t teabag? 🤔
95 -
Myself, and most others have already walked away from the controller or keyboard though at that point.
I’d LIKE to come back after getting a drink, or taking a slash, sit down and start looking for another match.
Not then spend half a minute trudging over from my spot, force them out, then wait another half minute to get back to the “find match” screen.
And for the record, opening a gate IS taking and accepting a loss.
It’s open. It’s a free pass. GTFO.

Addition:
If you want to thank the killer, put down your item.
And for crying out loud, stop waiting in the gate to MOCK the killer if it's deathslinger. You don't get to whine about getting gobbled up by the entity last second because you WAITED at the gate to be a little twerp and got speared.
21 -
Lol. They won't leave. Just like a killer will often slug for a 4k or the last bbq stack. Any bonus point is welcome, on the detriment of one side.
Plus you'd gain some chase point if you'd go to them. Best case case you get some hits, worst case you get nothing but some time saved. Whats the issue honestly.
4 -
...they’re already AFK most of the time after opening a gate.
The survivors are waiting for a player that is even at the controls.
2 -
I let 'em.
Wasting 4 people's time for the price of 1 while I break walls and pallets is a good deal to me.
17 -
Applause 👏🏻
9 -
You can’t really tell people what to do tbf, if you want them gone you have to take the 5 secs it takes to chase them out or wait 2 mins for the timer to end. Your call

It is to me
Light 👏🏻 as 👏🏻 a 👏🏻 feather
Stiff 👏🏻 as 👏🏻 a 👏🏻 board

when I win easily, I stop on the threshold to get hit ... it's a gesture of friendship!

I do it to get protection points and WglF stacks if not 4/4
2 -
Survivors: NoED is toxic! I don't wanna do bones! Slugging is unfun! Devs; change the game to cater to us!
Also Survivors: Clicking, t-bagging, and waiting at the exits are part of the game. Suck it up.
The double-standard for actions is staggering.
24 -
do you have pent-up anger? camping is legal, tunneling is legal, slugging is legal, gen-rush is legal! have you read something different? play and enjoy!
8 -
I run Blood Warden & NOED for this very reason sometimes
4 -
Lol I do the same, I'll go look for hatch and other objectives if there are any.
It is annoying though, truthfully a terrible habit of Survivors.
When I play Survivor if I know we all Escaping I just run out - I have no reason to waste any of my own time I just wanna get into the next match as quickly as possible.
5 -
Sure, me too! I just wrote, in a previous post, that if I get to the exit gate and I have the killer behind me, I get hit. it is a gesture of friendship.
1 -
Dude quit crying. Either force them out or don't go to the gate. They have to leave at some point. If you can't handle it then don't play the game.
5 -
By going AFK, you actively allow whatever happens to happen.
If you want it to end more quickly, slap 'em out.
9 -
That’s going to do nothing to Survivors already waiting in a gate.
0 -
can i stay to give my item?
3 -
Teabaggings for adults too
0 -
Once I break one breakable wall or pallet they all immediately leave. Why you leave? i was farming points.
Goes to show you the mindset of survivor mains.
1 -
Killers tell me they don't like me waiting around, so I haven't for a while. I've never baited a hit and then DHed or anything, but I figured they wanted more points from one last hit which is mainly a survivor concern that I mistakenly thought applied to killer as well.
That being said, I'd really appreciate it if killers stopped wasting my time as well and wouldn't slug everyone and let us bleed out.
Dude's off his gourd tbh.
3 -
Despite all those things being fair, survivors will still swear up and down that a killer doing them is toxic and not playing the game right. Its a common thing to see multiple complaints daily on the forums about these things.
3 -
If the killer opens the gate, how about just not being a jackass and just leave?
10 -
Dude just open the gate and leave it. If you can't handle a simple crouch animation and a flashlight being clicked then you have some other problems that need to be addressed.
3 -
i don't think you see what the problem is. It's not the clicking...it's you wasting time.
7 -
It's 2 minutes dude. Start hitting them out if you can't wait that short amount of time.
2 -
Survivors don't have to do what you want them to do. Be happy you already have the huge advantage that is end game collapse and calm down.
0 -
JuSt QuIt iF u WaNna bE aFk?
0 -
Nah, I’d rather sit at the gate and gloat.
0 -
Just remember this the next time survivors cry about you wasting their time by slugging them.
4 -
I find this a strange thing to say in the first place.
Just force them out.
If you want to go AFK in the corner, then actually go AFK.
Go to the bathroom, go get a drink, pull up the news, watch a Tik Tok.
---
Killers going AFK is not the universal sign for "please leave."
If anything, it tells me as a survivor that I can do whatever I want until the EGC timer runs out, because you're doing something else in the meantime.
...or are you just staring at your screen with your hands off the controls waiting for everyone to leave?
That is the least efficient means of ending the game I've ever heard of. No wonder you struggle with it so much. Even a German Shepherd would know the fastest way to end the game.
4 -
yeah Because being slugged in the ground for 4 minutes is such a fun thing for survivors to endure.
0 -
Where in my post title or content am I discussing slugging?
You want to discuss slugging till bleeding out? Start a new post.
5 -
I guess their post is not about the slugging in general, more about the 4 min. since most killers tell survivors that it's not a big deal to wait 4 min. til they bleed out, while they can not wait 2 min. until egc ends. I don't know, might be wrong though
4 -
That's what I am always thinking when i see thread like this and I wholeheartedly agree with them and then some other people defend the gloating in the exit gate.
They want to waste 2 minutes every game they manage to get out, so i hope they don't have the audacity to cry when they get lugged for 3-4 minutes for the 4k every 4th or so game (going by the average that only one survivor each trial can be subject to this tactic).
1 -
Idk why but it's just a habit for me to stand in the gate and let the killer hit me out. Every time I do this I have to remind myself how annoying I'm being and leave lol.
0 -
This is about a potential toxic mentality in terms of gloating after a sure win and not wanting to play into it.
By going to the gate and pushing out potential tbagging, last hit dodging and overall toxic survivor one plays into their intention and gives them, unintentionally or not, a feeling of validation for their behaviour.
And yes nothing of this has any direct impact on anything but humans are empathic creatures by nature and pick up on stuff like this. Thick skin or not.
My personal handling is getting all possible points from pallets/breakable walls and if possible spamming my killer power or going off screen watching yt or getting a drink/taking a leak.
3 -
Kill them! Kill this #########! Don't give up! Give them hell! Kill them! Kill! Kill!
Why would you want to open doors as killer? It's beyond my understanding. I do lose, but I never felt like I want to give up because survivors too strong for me.
I want to go play killer again.
2 -
Extra points after a hard loss maybe?
For me it is that at least since I don't even have the intention on killing them.
0 -
Weren't you the guy that had no problems defending a killer who refused to end the game when the survs went afk/gave up? Interesting that it bothers you when the killer is affected but not the other way around.
That seems like a staggering double standard to me.
5 -
The saddest thing is there is no way to force them out now, since there is an invicibility spot on the edge of the way out... so they can just stand there the entire end game collapse and you can't do anything but wait.
0 -
Slugging is a fair and viable tactic unlike camping & tunneling.
ie) Oni has his power and instead of downing a survivor and hooking, its probably better to see if anyone else is nearby and take them out with 1 hit.
hanging around at the gates waiting for the killer to come by so they could flashbang / flashlighting his face, tea bagging, etc.. is just being a douche
now if you're the only survivor and he is just leaving you on the ground to bleed out, then yea, that's toxic too.
1 -
Mate unfortunately people have reasons to stay.
I assume if you opened the exit doors then you had a bad game. This means that the team may depip and not get a lot of points. Some players are probably running around, looting chests or cleansing totems before they go.
I always run WGLF and I want to get as many stacks as possible. So I'll wait a little bit to see will the killer come and hit a survivor then hit me twice before the escape. A lot of killers pretend to go afk but are really still just sitting at their system. I know this because they usually will turn away as soon as you try to blind them for the 500 boldness points.
Unfortunately there is still people who just want to t-bag at the exit door but that's just what we have to deal with. It's annoying but you just need to push them out. If you don't give up you can still get maybe 1 or 2 kills. If you still want to go afk you just got to accept people have reasons to wait out the timer.
2 -
yea when someone did this to me, obviously the survivor mains were like.. well this gives you a chance to let them back in the match to potentially unhook the survivor so that you could try for more than a 1K. 🙄
i unintentionally did this to another killer when i wanted him to hit me so i had to move a little away from the gate
0 -
well I've never complained about slugging? I'm an Oni main so...
2 -
The killer should also be able to walk out and "escape" ending the game for everyone. That would also be fun since survivors could bait the killer in to accidentally escape 😀
2 -
They should leave. But if you go afk, you already forfeited any claim you can have on the trial. The players who stayed in it are free to do as they see fit, as long as they don't take the game hostage.
