RCPD MAP OFFERINGS NEED DISABLING

2 out of 3 games I get sent here by the survivors because they've learnt it's a garbage map for 95% of the killers. it's incredibly boring and the map sucks and the offering needs to go back to being disabled.

    I agree. Id love for there to be an offering that makes it to where you cant go to a certain map.

    It's because a lot of survivors have learnt the layout of the map: where gens are, loops, etc. and are now abusing the terrible design of it. You only really stand a chance against competent survivors if you play Freddy/Wraith, or are a god Nurse player. Any other killer cannot traverse the map at all, and patrolling gens is a joke with how many doorways and walls and corridors there are. Also, gates are impossible to patrol so you have to pick one and hope you get lucky.

    P.S I'm pretty sure I remember you saying you're a big fan of the RE series, so you probably already knew the layout anyway since you're familiar with the games. Most people aren't and the devs should not have ctrl c + ctrl v this map into DBD.

    95% is a bit high. At the very least, stealth Killers do fine because it's an indoor map and Survivors can't see you coming. Small corridors mean trap Killers can cut off sections of the map. The gens are also quite hard to find. So far I've only escaped once from RPD.

    It’s a dream map for Twins. Being spotted in a hallway by Victor is a death sentence.

    While stealth killers can sneak up yes, Ghostface and Myers have next to no potential to stalk the survivors making them m1 killers for most of the game. And yeah, Trapper and Hag can do well, but the unfortunate reality is the this map is far too large and has too much ground to cover that most of the time your traps will be less than useful. It also takes way too long to set up in meaningful locations. This map is nearly the size of the Red Forest, but with THREE different floors. It's far too big for it's own good and should have been separated into an East Wing and West Wing variation.


    Midwich is a far better version of an indoor map for the Twins. RCPD is way too large (which is the main issue I have with it).

    Disagree, the only killer I have problem with on rpd, is blight, even then it's doable

    Not gonna lie every single time I got this map my game crashed at the most random times and it doesn't matter whether I play killer or survivor. Until the map is fixed for ALL platforms it should be taken out of the map rotation.

    Not related to the topic but the map is garbage anyway so I wouldn't mind never seeing it again

    I never see the Offering. I saw it once since it got enabled again, burned by myself because I actually want to play on this Map more often.

    But so far, my Killer games have been alright on this Map. I won all of them, even tho the Legion-game I had on the Map was pretty annoying, since the Killer Instinct does not do much if you cannot figure out how to get them, lol.

    A maze-like map, powerful loops and 4 survivors who know where the generators are. Yes, it can be dominated. I'm not even talking about the perks of these survivors.

    I don't have issues on this map and I know other people who don't have problems on it anymore. If your crashing it would seem that it is something on your end.

    yeah i was going through the corridors as pyramid head and i knew more or less half way through billy would have a god awful time in those corridors definitely wasnt designed with him in mind to fit through it .... i was like this map design or layout is atrocious lol .... first time on the map too

    The one time I burnt an offering, the killer DCed during the loading screen and softlocked the game lol

    I wanna play it more but it seems like people are prone to raging if I send us there.

    95% of the killers? I think that’s a tad extreme.

    The only one I see it being an issue might be Billy and Blight… power-wise.

    I loathe this map as a survivor, but don't mind it as a killer (Doctor and Pig main). Maybe my survivor experience will get better once more survivors become familiar with the map, but right now they seem to just run around confused a lot.

    I actually really like the map as killer and survivor, the map is large and there are a couple of strong loops but most are pretty unsafe. I think I need more time to see how it is when people get fully use to the map and how to run it and learn the gen locations properly to come to a honest judgement though.

    That's fair. I am playing on switch so I don't have the recent update, which begs the question why the devs thought that it would be OK to re-enable the map on the platform without the patch

    I just got it and a feng crashed (her model kept running into the wall for about a minute before the DC). I crashed myself 30 seconds after. An amazing gameplay experience

    The whole map needs to disabled till they can figure out a way to shrink it substantially whether that be cutting into 2 or more variants or trimming the fat on some areas either way the map is awful and until then I refuse to play on it.

    I originally made a full list of why every killer sucks on this map, but ultimately deleted it because it read badly. It all comes down to: m1 killers suffer because the map is too large and it takes too long to patrol gens. Exceptions being Wraith because he is fast and has no terror radius in stealth, and Freddy who can TP to gens. Any other killers (Huntress, Slinger, Trickster) suffer from being 110 movespeed and taking 6 years to patrol gens + infinite LOS blockers to almost never allow them to use their power. Nurse also suffers hugely from LOS blockers. Oni cannot demon dash anywhere.

    I don't think what I said was extreme at all.

    I dominated as killer in this map.


    I was playing trapper and I hooked a survivor in a hallway then I blocked the entire hallway with traps.


    they couldn't do anything they got slaughtered

    It sucks for them too though. Even if you learn the layout of the map, chaining loops together is incredibly difficulty because of the sheer size and confusing layout. Frankly nobody should be sent to that map, and you're a jerk for sending a killer, and your fellow survivors to that hellhole

    The difference between this map and other large maps though is that RCPD is three different floors. Not one. It's like three Lery's piled on top of each other. M1 killers need to try and navigate 3x as much area as they would any other large outdoor map. It's not a fair comparison. You hear a gen on Mother's Dwelling, great, it's right there. You hear a gen in RCPD that's a floor above you? Great, it takes an extra 20-30 seconds to actually find your way to it.

    It's extremely boring to play on. I get it, they wanted to copy the map exactly and put it in to DBD for the RE fans and while I will admit it's impressive and design wise it's beautiful, gameplay wise it's absolutely atrocious. The layout it way too confusing and there are so many dead ends and quick turns that you have to do it almost makes me motion sick.

    RCPD is not good for DBD.

    I despise this map with all my being as both killer and survivor. It's either a 100% stomp on either the killer's side or the survivors' side, nothing ever inbetween.
