I am tired of nemesis's tentacle attack being like huntress hits

Vaulted the window and reached a safe angle, get it, HUG THE LEFT SIDE of a corridor and he attacks the RIGHT side and gets hit, dodge the window hit and attacks THE WINDOW and get hit even tho I am not even in the middle of the window, I am tired of nemesis's huntress like hitboxes, I am a killer main, I even I sometimes react to bs hits I did and I am like......######### was that, I'd love to see hit priority being on the survivor side for 2 days to see how it goes tbh, just to see if it would be less bs overall if it misses in the survivor POV it misses and that's it.
before you ask, I have 3.2K hours in this game, I'd legit love to see hit priority on the survivor side for 2 days to experience how it would be.

So you are killer main. You don't know how to play against Nemesis. This is why tentacles hits you. Case closed.

I am Nemesis main. He is not op and him tentacle is counterable. So i don't know what is problem? Before you jump windows, you have to bait him. If he use tentacle, now you have time to jump. If he back to m1, still you have time to jump. What is problem, i dont know

Then don't act like he is op. Him tentacle is pretty fair. He has to hit 3 times with tentacle. You can dodge it. And you are still complaining about this. I am sorry but this is case of get good.

The point of the freaking post is that I dodge and he hits beside me not even close while I dodge him and attack the opposite side of where I am and still gets hits, that's the point of the point of the post.

Seem like you failed with this. Or maybe you had bad connection. I don't know. I have not problem against Nemesis or him tentacle.

This. I find his tentacle attack has to be spot on otherwise you won’t get a hit. It’s only if you angle it at windows, pallets, you’ll get the hit. This also coming from someone who’s played a lot of nemesis. Actually, pretty much become my main since the dlc released.

I feel the opposite, like his tentacle hitbox is too small and inconsistent especially at angles... whatever side i play btw.

This is actually a result of the skill of the Nemesis player.
After he uses his whip the hotbox, which is razor thin, lingers for 1/3rd of a second.
By strafing sideways, and explicitly not turning his camera during this time as this seems to disjoint the hitbox, he can "drag" that razor thin hitbox a bit wider, to a full width of about .6 meters.
Using this technique Nemesis can "adjust" missed attacks and still clip a survivor that's *just* close enough, or get better sweep to hit through a window angle.
This mechanic is 100% consistent and you can test it yourself by whipping next to a survivor then "dragging" it into them by strafing towards them.

Survivor side hit priority would never work in dbd for both projectiles and even melee just do to the fact that servers can't project where the survivor hitbox is properly to the killer

His hitbox is done so you gotta be extremely precise with your hits but at least is somewhat consistent on tall loops, windows and dead zones, it's even unfair to new nemesis players out of how extremely thin the hitbox is. The tentacle leaves an AOE(blue aura) for half a second that if you step in it you will get infected so that might've been what you dealt with, maybe it was that or a lag spike on either side making hit validation benefit the killer as it should do.

You can't expect every killer to be like Plague, where you can first throw a coin, if your vomit attack wants to hit today or rather not. And then wonder if it did actually register or only play the hit animation/effects to troll you.

I've never gotten a faulty hit from a Nemesis

His hitbox is nothing like Huntress', in fact his hitbox is very interesting.
Its a very small narrow line in front of him, how ever the hitbox will follow him if he moves to the side or forward, theres no visual feedback for this so some times the hit does look a little wonky, but its consistent. You cant really greed much against him

A killer main who wants to have survivor's actions to have priority no matter what? Suuurrreee.....OP what does that even mean? If the killers 'hit' gets to the server first, the server waits until the survivor action gets to the server even if it's seconds later and then rollback the hit? That would be a garbage experience. What's next, insta flashlights should be back? Or pallet vacuum? Or infinites? Or grab saves being instant and not after pickup animation?

I havent noticed much about his tentacle but I agree 100% on huntress hatchets. When they reworked her addons they should have looked into that too.
Victor hitbox is also too big.

The only change I'd like on Nematode is survivors get some sort of indication when he has his tentacle out besides looking back.

There is actually a sound indicator. You can hear some sort of “slimy” sound. I’ll admit it can be easily missed because of the chase music.

You can hear him pull out his tentacle, just run to a pallet and wait to hear him pull out his tentacle and don’t drop the pallet and keep running, fake vaulting windows too. He suffer a lot movement and recovery when pulling out and putting away his tentacle. Or just zig zag and don’t run in straight lines

Well yeah but if Nematode man can aim then zig zags dont do much. You can't really hear it unless you're pretty close to him and its definitely muted in chase like someone else pointed out.

Yeah you see, that is intended, it has lingering hitbox of 0,333s. It's needle like width compared to PH's PoD that also goes through walls so to make it easier, there is this gimick that allows players who know about it to increase their consistency with hits.
If the lingering were to be removed, it would have to be much deadlier then it is right now, even with the lingering, it's still akward and easy to avoid most of the time. Not even speaking about the crouch dodging that works against it too.
Besides, nemesis adjusting his aim still has to guess the correct side you'll be dodging to. If anything, it's a skillful part of his kit.

I can definitely hear it, even with how loud his chase music and him tiering up to level 3 is. You can also try to time the pallet drop so his tentacle will break the pallet instead of hitting.
Try to play nemesis and use only his tentacle to attack all game, you going to learn how easily it is to bait it and force him to m1 you. Try to play around pallets and breaking los like running around corners. I usually pretend to act like I’m going to drop the pallet forcing him to use his tentacle, run away and find another pallet or loop him until he breaks the pallet

Making hits survivor side would prove or fix nothing. It'd just reverse the old problem of hits being bs from survivor perspective and unfair. It'd just reverse that onto killers and with the new pallet detection killer already does experience that now. Hearing the sound of a hit but survivor not being hit.

The tentacle hitbox is nowhere near huntress' hatchets, it is very unforgiving and inconsistent when it comes to what it can and can't hit over
