Option to hard reset your own rank
Playing at high ranks of DBD is exceedingly tedious, boring, and frustrating. Give us the option to reset our rank back down to 20 after we reach rank 1 as a form of prestiging. Actually reward us for getting rank 1 by allowing us to go back to where the game is fun.

When MMR is implemented, Rank Rewards will also be implemented so you will gain BP etc at rank reset depending on your highest rank reached. However, you will not be facing against Rank 20's as that would be incredibly unfair and the system will match you against players of your own skill level.

So reward you by giving you an in game system to smurf something that in many games is bannable with good reason. That sounds like a great idea-_-

Yeah, I don't want players of my own skill level. I can only play with the most meta perks if I do that. There is no middle ground whatsoever unless you are a 10,000 hour killer that can do anything they want whenever they want because they know the exact pixel perfect way to do everything by reflex.

I'm unclear how its any different than forcibly de-pipping myself within the system. Other than fewer games of wraith played doing nothing.

It would take hours to do that and people can kindly report you (not that reports really do much) on your way down.

When a propper MMR System is Implemented i hope such things like de-pipping etc. arent neccesarry anymore... The Problem I have right now is, that you even climb in rank if you are worse than your opponents. Leading to the point where you only play against better players and end up with a 0k all the time

I have nearly all killers maxed out at this point, with almost all perks. But all of them but maybe 10 are worthless at high ranks. How can such a game be sustainable with such enormous, wasteful content loss?

I report killers for afk whenever I see them, its f*cking boring to go against dude. Believe it or not people play the game to, you know, play the game. And you also havent talked about how this would again just be giving people the ability to easily smurf did you think about how badly this would effect the new player experience?

Yeah I agree, I would love to play the game to enjoy it. So let me drop my rank back down to 17 or 13 or whatever it needs to be to get try hards out of my games. People are going to easily smurf all the want anyway. Can't you just family share all DLCs to a new steam account and have everything fresh at level 20? Whats to stop PC players from doing that 800 times a day when I just want to go back to where all the perks I worked for are actually worth anything.

Mate the problem is not that I'm bad, I can end a game as huntress in 3 minutes without reloading. The problem is that I don't want to sweat so hard every game. Its supposed to be fun but it gives me acid reflux.

And repeadetly afking is actually reportable and I think bannable (I've seen it talked in another post).
Is that game fun? If killer afks, you get to hold down M1 for ... 3-4 minutes.
And if survivor afk/suicides then it becomes awkward for killers.

I'm not even trying to bully anyway, I just want to be in a place with enough room to actually use any perk I want instead of the hyper meta perks, or forced to camp/tunnel/slug because thats just how fast the game is.
I'm trying to suggest this to remove a lot of toxic behavior.
I agree its not fun at all, thats why I'm trying to add this so I can just reset my rank after I hit rank 1. I would much rather play the game and have fun with people in low ranks pulling my punches and letting everyone go at the end since I actually had the chance to have an enjoyable game instead of survivors holding M1 for 220~ seconds and being out.

Then use what perks you want and play the way you want. You just want an easy win against people with little to no experience with your "fun build" how is it fair for a someone who just started to go up against someone who's gotten to rank 1. Not too mention even if you don't abuse it to bully newer players I guarantee you someone else will

You see, that's how you (maybe) would use this feature.
How would other killers and survivors use this? The lobbies would/could be more of a mess than they're now.

I don't want easy wins. In fact this whole last month with the anniversary event and bloodhunt going on I barely killed anyone, so the game would say I actually lost nearly, if not all, of my games during that whole time. For your information the only time I did kill someone is when I accidentally miscounted hooks for identical survivors, or didn't notice that their team let them get to 2nd hook. I think it should be clear from my post that I don't want to win at all, in fact I want to lose every game so I don't have to play with other rank 1s. And yeah I figured that would ultimately be your response "Some terrible minority of the community is going to insist on being terrible as they always do" which is usually the argument against implementing literally anything no matter how positive or negative it is.

How is it any different from a rank 1 survivor/killer not playing for a few months and getting de-ranked to 17?

Let's see... That has to take a few months? The person in question could lose a bit of their skill?
And even then, if they a rank 1 they will QUICKLY get out of there up to rank 1 (unless they throw on purpose) and won't be back unless they again want a couple of months. With the thing you're proposing someone could cycle through ranks at blast speed if they wanted to (and rank 20 would be like rank 1)

Are they going to lose their skill or blast back to rank 1? You can't have it both ways. The ranking system is garbage, it would be nice to have more direct control over it.

Prestige systems exist in all sorts of games. 2 in fact exist in DBD already, the first is the ability to prestige survivors/killers up to rank 3. And the 2nd is your 'devotion' prestige from leveling your account. Its not my fault that rank 1 is filled with 500 to 10,000 hour players, so I'm not sure why I'm the one getting punished for it by forcing myself to de-rank to not deal with the primordial soup mess that is high rank.

I'm not sure why you are worried about me. All I'm doing is going back to a rank where everyone isn't playing optimally, which gives me the freedom to not play optimally. Which is what I want. Thankfully with enough practice I've been able to figure out how to get as few emblems as possible while still giving survivors a chance to play the game so I don't safety, and they still get a lot of points. I don't care about winning, I care about having fun.

Finally, someone with a lick of sense on this damn forum. I often complain about how weak Nemesis is because I'm at red ranks all the time and have to sweat my ass off just to not depip. This isn't fun and never will be. I'd much rather do what you're doing except I'm too prideful to derank and smurf.

But whennnnnnn will MMR be implemented? Will it also be released with the ability to toggle whether or not you play against SWF's? Because I know you said the system would somehow "average" out the skill of a group, if that was you, might've been Peanits, but I don't trust it'll make the experience any less infuriating.
