Flashbang Perk needs changes

Hi, i can't bring flashbangs to work.

The killer can hear the drop and just looks up to avoid it. It is impossible to ever get a blind on a kiler that is not new.

So why does this perk even exists? It blocks my Item slot and never works. The timings are closer than a flashlight so i have to be alot closer.

Plz change this perk to make no sound or to explode faster. It has great fun potenzial, but the way it is right now, its not useable.

    Nah you just need to adjust your strategy. The perk is incredible. You don't use it in neutral aka just running around mid-chase, just like you can't use a flashlight like that.

    When have you ever just turned around a blinded a killer running at you with a flashlight? The only time you can flashlight any good killer is when they're stuck in animation--kicking a pallet, or picking up a survivor.

    If you want to use it mid-chase, run around a corner then drop it. They won't see you drop it, likely won't hear it, then they'll turn the corner and it will explode. It can work great.

    For saving people being picked up, just drop it in front of them when the survivor as their waist, as the killer adjusts their grip by like tossing them and scooping under.

    If it made no sound it would be uncounterable, and unless it detonated instantly a killer could still look away in time.

    I'd just give it a bigger area of effect.

    Maybe it is skill, like GoodboyKaru says. I watch Ohmwrecker a lot and I've seen him get it to work multiple times. And he often goes against high rank killers.

    Try dropping in when killer is locked in animations like breaking pallet timing is everything

    I think it should blind anybody who is 2 metres or closer to it whether or not they look away. That'd make it actually worth using a perk slot for and killers could still walk away from the grenade to not.get blinded

    If the killer is locked in animation (breaking pallets, vaulting windows, and most importantly picking up survivors) they can't look away.

    Flashbang is a pretty underwhelming perk due to how hard it is to use, and the fact that it takes up your perk AND item slot, so I do wish it did a little more. Either it needs some better consistency or it needs better reward, IMO, like slowing the killer by 10-20% for 2 seconds if they get blinded by it.
