This will Fix DC'ing Altogether
"Removed the ability to exit a match after it starts."
We know you have the ability to outright disable the ability to exit the game on the loading screen unless it's under the most extreme circumstances, so why is it we can still leave the match?
Wouldn't it be better to just remove the ability to leave match altogether so that LESS people have the opportunity to DC when they don't like how the game's going?

Then people will just unplug their ethernet cable.

If someone wants to dc they will still do it theres no stopping them unfortunately

Or just shut down the application.

What about content creators who use custom matches to record and then exit the match afterwards instead of finishing?

It is, literally, impossible to tell the difference between a DC and a game crash with current coding. This is not a BHVR thing; it's a programming thing.
The program just sees 'connection gone'. It has no way of seeing if it was a pulled plug, a router turned off, power was lost, or the program was closed. These is no difference to any of these, to the game, because they all equate to the same result; connection went poof.

You can't tell difference between game crash and alt + f4, but you should be able to notice DC, because they have to use in-game button for it. Problem is that it wouldn't solve anything, because people would just alt + f4.
DC sucks and I would like to implement replacement with bots instead for survivors at least.

You can just end the game in the task master. This would not prevent people from leaving. And it is a game not prison, jeez.
