The End Game Problem and Solution! (Reasoning and justification)
The End Game Problem
Of course we all been there, you have a hatch standoff for 20+ minutes or you was playing hide and seek world championship for 20+ minutes. These situations are what gives Dead by Daylight (besides the toxic community) a bad name because it's simply a flawed mechanic. Problem is that we don't know whether or not the killer/survivor deserves their sacrifice/escape meaning they end off in a stalemate. So how can we solve this problem? The End Game Solution
I'd like to have the solution fit both play styles for the survivor such as being stealthy and being aggressive. This will add counter play to certain killers like Nurse so you have the option to be stealthy when you cannot be aggressive.Introduction to Dead by Daylight
Tears of Light Spawning Rules
When the second to last survivor is eliminated from the trial, there will be 7 tears of light that automatically spawns into the map. They cannot spawn within 32 meters to the last survivor, to each other, to the killer, and to the hatch.
Your New Objective and how it works
Your objective information (remaining generators) will be replaced with the number of tears the survivor is required to obtain to win the trial which is 5. Additionally, beside the the number of tears the survivor is required to obtain, is a Entity's Rage % (it will slowly increase to 100%) number showing how much time you have remaining as a survivor to obtain all 5 tears of light. This % number will pause when you're in a chase, in dying state, or on a hook. Additionally, if the survivor obtains a tear of light, the Entity's Rage will slowly decrease by a certain amount then slowly increase once again.
What happens if...
If the survivor runs out of time (If the Entity's Rage reaches 100%), the Entity will sprout its tentacles from the ground and immediately kill the survivor. This will NOT award the killer any Devout emblem points as it's not a sacrifice or mori by the killer. If the killer finds and sacrifice the survivor, you'll get the appropriate Devout emblem points. If the survivor obtains all tears of light, the map will turn to daylight and burn the killer out of existence, this will award the survivor with the appropriate amount of Unbroken emblem points as if they escaped.
How to interact with a tear of light
As a survivor, if you walk directly into a tear of light, it will automatically absorb itself into your body and cause your body to illuminate bright light for 10 seconds. You'll need to be extremely careful as you're VERY easy to spot by the killer during that moment.
Play Styles for the endgame
As a survivor, you can stealth each tear of light and hide from the killer especially when you're illuminated or you can obtain a tear of light during a chase by running into it. Both playstyles work for the survivor since they have the option to play accordingly depending on the situation and killer.
The hatch and how this endgame will trigger.
If your entire team completed a total of 2 generators, the hatch will spawn in and open when you're the last survivor. This will also start the new endgame by spawning in the 7 tears of light. However, if the hatch has NOT spawned in then the Entity Rage % meter will increase as if the endgame has started to encourage the survivor to complete the required amount of generators. The killer can close the Hatch if they happen to find it in my version.
Justification For This End Game Solution
As you can see, the survivor's skill and the killer's skill is tested depending on the situation. This solves the stalemate problem as it encourages action during the endgame for both sides. Whoever played the best will be victorious and will get their earned sacrifice/escape.If you have any questions, I'll do a Q&A! Please tell me your concerns and remember, the numbers are just place holders so things can always change!
TL;DR
Have tears of light for the final survivor so can automatically pick up. If they pick it up, they will illuminate light for a little while. They need 5 to escape while having a time limit. If the time limit ends, the survivor dies. This supports both play styles (stealthy and aggressive).

I see no problems here. Nothing save for the time it would take to code, test, and implement this.

This solution has me thinking of the trials from legend of Zelda skyward sword. Man I hated those things. I really like this solution. Although tbh I would prefer the hatch is just removed and the killer doesn’t have to close it. That or make it so that the hatch can’t spawn within x feet of the survivor or killer and it only spawns when only one survivor is left. That way no hatch camping waiting for the other person to die.

As for your post, I like it. Brings more skill to the endgame than just "ME HEAR HATCH, ME STAND AND TBAG TILL SALTY KILLER SPANK ME"2 -

So like, I've seen a crap ton of posts from you about endgame, hatch, etc. I'm not trying to ######### on your parade, you at least care about the state of the game but dude, none of these ideas will ever make it into the game. I don't even have to read this one. Devs won't take your ideas verbatim, and they probably have their own much better ideas in the works. Save yourself the trouble and stop trying to come up with the "great fix" to this stuff. We will get something eventually, just be patient.

I like the idea. Kind of adds a whole new layer of gameplay, which is something I think this game has needed for a while now. Definitely preferable to the hatch staring contest we get now. I avoid that crud as much as possible.

@Nickenzie You did do a lot of work. But the devs aren't going to take your ideas dude. There's a whole mess of legal issues with that. Like a dev might take minor suggestion from a community member, I've seen that before, but there is no way they will take these ideas that drastically change large chunks of the game. Sorry but you are just kind of wasting your time doing this stuff over and over. Not trying to hurt your feelings but that's how it is. Changing numbers won't absolve them of the legal rights to your idea. If these ideas make it into the game then it's by pure coincidence you and them both thought of the same thing. Not that they took your idea because then they'd have to compensate you.

Additionally, can you please give me feedback to my idea? It's why I even punished my endgame idea and I would really appreciate it.0 -
@Nickenzie So like if you post this idea and they put it into the game, that means they technically have to pay you because you did work. Even if you are cool with not getting paid there are legal ramifications if they take your idea, and you could always come back in a few years and change your mind, taking them to court.
Like if you have a cartoon show and you want George Clooney to guest star, if you ask him to be on your show as himself and he says no, then you get an actor to play them in the show, that's illegal and he can sue you. It's the reason you will more often see actors portraying celebrities, or guests stars come in as people OTHER than themselves, because if you don't ask then do that it's considered parody. But if you ask and do it, it's considered copyright infringement (or something similar I'm not a lawyer).
For similar reasons they can't take your idea. The probably can't even come in here to comment on it, because if it just so happens they came up with the same idea you could point to this and say "they got that from me I want compensation."
Again not wanting to ######### on your parade, but I keep seeing you make these kinds of posts knowing it won't go anywhere. Or maybe it could they could ask you to come work for them freelance or something, but don't get your hopes up on that. Your passion for the game is great, but understand that ideas are a dime a dozen, and chances are they won't take yours if only because of legal reasons.

We don't need more mini-games to replace the actual game. We already got the hatch.
Instead of avoiding the underlying issue we should solve it instead.
