The repair 12 gens? It will honestly probably take me 20 games to get that done. It's absolute garbage.

Were you during the sacrifice 2 survivors in the egc while using the perk noed?
I remember people complaining so bad during that challenge.

Well, you have to create Challenges which take some time to complete. The time between two Tome Levels is two or three weeks, so you need challenges which keep the players invested for some time, because it would be really bad design if the Challenges are done after a few hours of playing and then everyone waits almost two weeks for the next Level.
So you either create grindy challenges or difficult challenges. Even the difficult challenges are not that difficult in my opinion and since the Community was crying when challenges were a thing which cannot be completed in 2 Trials, because they are "so hard" or you "have to throw the game", we have a lot of grindy ones. I dont like them, but they are a necessary evil, if most players dont want hard, interesting challenges.

Would be cooler if we could take multiple challenges at once. Or at least one from the current tome and then two older ones. Do I wanna have to damage 12 generators and then 35? No, let me do it at the same time. Or hook survivors in the basement and sacrifice survivors in the basement. Or just basic stuff like repair Gens and heal others. Don't wanna play a million games

And I can understand why they would. I don't play killer but even if I did, I wouldn't even bother trying for that one. Honestly, these challenges have been very bad for the health of the game.

Yeah but if you add in queue times and the fact that most people have responsibilities outside of DBD, some of these challenges can take days to complete. Just one challenge. That's absurd.

Some can be fine, but so many are just outright awful. I tried a few times for Self-Deprecating Joke in a legit way, even throwing games but I just couldn't get it to set-up well for multiple reasons. Finally had to throw a game and try to farm with a Survivor in a match. Thankfully I got someone to work with me the first farm match I attempted. I like Clown, but for me personally, I'm not good enough/comfortable enough to pull off that Challenge without a farm.
There are other examples of past & current challenges that are just unfeasible without luck (sometimes a buttload of luck) throwing games or having to try to farm with a team.

Yeah exactly, some of the challenges are extremely unhealthy and annoying.
But at least current challenges aren't as annoying as "do 4 gens with dark sense in a single match"

Yep, the challenges are so bad it causes killers to farm and I don't blame them, but it does get boring. They cause survivors sometimes to go into games without any intention of actually playing because they need the hatch challenge. Or to sandbag a teammate because they want a flashlight save. I just think a lot of challenges need to be changed since this makes them money and therefore it will never be removed.

With how Killers can be in my experience, it's easy to get face camped to death in back to back games, have Survivors that sandbag or play poorly & games end too quickly. It's why I rarely play Survivor & stick with Killer anymore as my GF quit playing years ago because of such players, so solo queue us an abysmal experience..
So no, it's pretty feasible that there are obstacles outside one's control that makes doing certain challenges, esp some "do x multiple times in one match", a utter slog and headache to try to get accomplished.

Getting tunnelled out of the game happens, but its not every game. My solo experience is nowhere near as abysmal as yours. In fact I tend to do better in solos than I do with my friends as a SWF. I usually clear most of my challenges solo.
Getting caught in the first place is always going to be partly your fault.

Uhm, to my memory no challenges have required NOED. But yes there was one to do two sacrifices during EGC, which is awful. I will take grindy challenges such as OP’s three times over that.

I have feeling that I play completely different game than most people on this forum.
12 gens alone is easy. You don't even need to finish them, just work on gens and you get it in 5-6 games.
And where everyone finds face camping killers? It's like 1 in 20, probably less for me.

That was my second time using noed, while I didn't had issues during that challenge, I remember a TON of people complaining that it was extremely hard.
I was lucky enough to do it first try but other players on a dbd group that I am a part of actually quit trying and some actually ended up paying other players so they could do that challenge.
