Zombies really are useless
I used add ons to make them moderatly faster and considerably increase their detection range and they didn't even hit a survivor one time on hawkins

Their only purpose isn't just to down survivors. They also hang around generators to push people off and make it hard to heal. They're just a general nuisance and aren't there to solely kill people.

I love how i hid behind the gen onetime a zombie somehow lost me then i did the last bit while the zombie was turned around. Guess it didn't hear the gen being repaired.

If you see it from the survivor perspective they do more than you think
When i play survivor against nemesis, zombies sometimes force me to stop repairing a gen, or it interrupts my chase plan.
Yeah sure the zombies dont get hits alot, but they can make it easier for YOU to get a hit.
Granted, i dont think theyre strong, im just trying to enlighten you that they are definitely not useless, especially since you can hit them to get mutation rate as well.

I literally only see my Zombies getting stuck or just sitting in place.

Zombies are fine. I dont really know what you all expect, those are AI-Characters, the main work should be done by the Killer. And if Nemesis would not be Nemesis but an original Character with this power, there would not even be Zombies, they only exist because it is a RE-Chapter.
They do something, they can force people off Gens, they can get hits in from time to time and they are also able to provide Nemesis with his power... They are far from useless.
Let alone that there is no real way to get rid of them, except for wasting limited ressources - which is a bad idea IMO.

I don't have Nemesis, but I do see them stuck on generators or in other areas quite often.

The main issue is their AI. They get stuck a lot on simple objects and ignore survivors that are literally 5 meters away from them.

My point is that i think some effects of zombies arent very visible from the killers perspective, nonetheless it is not the strongest part of his kit.
The strongest part of his kit is sending my playstation to the afterlife when i ready my tentacle attack

If you don't plan on using the tenticle to down an uninfected injured survivor the zombies can actually be used by Survivors as a free sprint burst, just run up to the zombie boost pad, let it smack you and gain tons of W distance.

I had a game yesterday where i was in chase and as i am about to vault the shack window there's a zombie blocking it from the outside.i was injured and infected and the god pallet was already used.
Long story short it was in the end game and the game resulted in a 2k.If it had not been for the zombie 4 escape.
So no,zombies are not useless.Sometimes they are in the right place in the right time.Btw,there's a reason u can see their auras as nemesis.Use it to your advantage,kind of like when playing the twins.

I like to use the 15 seconds undetectable add on, see discordance pop and swat a zombie and head there. They are useful in that instance with the amount of times I have got really close to the gen before being noticed

They aren't often going to score a hit, but they will sometimes block the path of a Survivor, which slows them down as they have to go around or find a completely different path. Zombie pathing could use some tweaks for improvement, but other than that, they are fine. Zombies shouldn't be oppressive, they should just be a small to moderate obstacle.

I completely disagree.
Zombies are very effective and can creep up on survivors at the least expected moment. Not to mention they can also keep survivors off gens. I’ve seen this while playing Nemesis and also playing against him.

They aren't useless. They interrupt me quite often and they can block optimal pathing, looping areas even if they don't actaully score a hit.
That being said, I have been hit twice by a zombie around a corner while being chased, once while looping shack, once while dropping a pallet.
Zombies are also feeding you info as Killer. When they raise their arms, they are chasing a survivor, keep that in mind.

They are a zoning and information tool. They need to be able to hit survivors to do their zoning job but if you expect them to hit survivors your going to be disapointed a lot.
As far as information goes they are very good if RNG dependant.
Zombie with arms stretched out? A survivor was where he is looking.
Zombie standing around a gen not doing anything? No survivors there patrol the other gens.
They aren't bad but you need to have seen them from the survivors point of view to know this. Having a 90% gen and not being to work on it cause a zombie was hanging around it has won several nemesis players i went against the game

When they score a hit it is funny tho.
I had one on basement stairs and it hit the unhooked survivor triggering BT. I then hit them immediately for the second down.
Incredibly rare. There still needs to be double the zombies and the stuck issue resolved.

I had that happen to me too. A zombie was blocking the window another zombie was blocking one of the entrances to shack while Nemesis was coming from the other entrance. There was nowhere for me to go.

Zombies are good. I've been forced out of loops and off of gens plenty of times, and my dumbass has gone down to them too. I think people that think zombies are useless aren't playing against Nemesis but are playing as Nemesis so they don't see how useful they are. Go play survivor a lot and you'll see their usefulness

Ngl my zombies did this a lot as well. Sometimes spinning on the spot and not doing anything lol I've literally had a zombie walk into the corner if the map while I'm chasing a claudette about 4m away lol

They could certainly be better as right now they are mostly just a minor inconvenience. Not to mention how often they get stuck.

They are hit and miss, some games and maps I find them really oppressive and they mess things up. And then other games they just get stuck on tree stumps lol

Nemesis power is so lacking, that the devs felt the need to add zombies in an attempt to make him a little stronger. But zombies are simply bad. They either are in the wrong area of the map or stuck.
The amount of times zombies actually did something for the killer is comparable to the amount of times Bloodwarden actually gave the killer a comeback. It can happen, but don´t wait for it.

Zombies are not meant to win the game for a Nemesis, they add some kind of (random) "support" and that's about it (and that should never change).
Read: you don't need faster, more aggressive, and definitely not more zombies.

I am constantly pushed off gens and totems. You might not be aware of it but that doesn't mean it's not happening.

Zombies are fine, just fix the stuck thing and ""may be"" add 1 more zombie in bigger maps.
Also i would love an iri addon that give you more zombies or that when you kill a survival a new "claudette zombie" spawns.

There's scenario's where the Zombies are very nice I had a game recently on hawkins and the Nea I was chasing twice got cornered by the zombies and even myself at points I've been running from Nemesis and than out of no where I run into a Zombie.
However you aren't wrong in a lot of ways the zombies can be kinda dumb but, in general that's the case with a lot of AI in other video games. They're either really good, average, or just not the best

IF you are using Nemesis' Zombies for hits, you are doing it wrong. The zombies themselves should never hit a survivor without you chasing them into the zombie, because survivors are just faster than zombies regardless of addons. However, they do provide Nemesis free tracking and can harass survivors on objectives making it harder for survivors to complete those objectives.

A friend of mine has quit dbd for good, because of Nemesis, mostly the zombies. She claims he's completely broken and unfair.

right but i have a whole collection of different times i play nemesis which is a lot that the zombies get clipped on something invisible then provide neither of the things you just mentioned. Making them useless, their detection range and speed at default needs a boost

Has a problem with windows cause for some reason they can spawn in them which is useless for the free information you should be getting. But also you have permanently blocked one window(yay?).
have y’all tried making one fall off ridged terrain they just glitch down it for a minute while walking towards you. It is very funny to watch.
somehow the survivor ai that is in the tutorial is 100x better then the zombies even though it is used once?
