I mean someone said "its not that much distance" when it saves you and restarts a chase more than half the time. It's a big problem and gives survivors too much of an edge

The problem with DH is when it's used to get to a pallet or window. Imo just lock survivors interactions for 2 seconds.
The intended purpose of the perk was to avoid taking a hit.

This would be the same like removing distance.
The intended purpose is to do a Dash. This is even in the Perks description. The secondary part is that you are invincible while doing the Dash.

Hence the purpose of the perk is to avoid taking a hit. Using it for distance is essentially abusing the perk because your not using it as intended.
I'm not essentially taking away the dash, I'm simply saying, for how the strong perk is and awards survivor with another health state. Add a risk factor to it. The perk is the apiffiny of no risk, high reward.

When Injured, tap into your adrenaline bank and dash forward quickly to avoid damage.
- Press the Active Ability button while running to dash forward.
- Avoid any damage during the Dash.
Both times the Dash is mentioned first, which indicates it is the primary part of the effect.
So can we stop saying that the intended purpose is not to do the Dash?

Dead Hard already locks you out of interactions while you are dashing. Meaning if you dash too close to a window you don't get a fast vault and get hit anyways or you dash pass the pallet and you miss the chance to drop it before the killer catches up.
You have to time Dead Hard pretty well to chain it into vaults and pallets.
And 2 seconds is a long time and no where in the perk description does it say that dead hard is meant to solely dodge killer swings. So you want to kill the most reliable way to use the perk (because good luck actually dodge a swing with dedicated servers) and survivors will just switch to sprint burst and then killers will start crying about sprint bursts.

There was nothing added or changed - only QoL-Changes. Changing an animation does not change the function of the Perk.

It takes killers roughly 2s to recover from a whiffed attack so that's why I say 2s.
Yeah you can't interact while dashing, but that's still not risk factor, compared to DS or Soul Guard.
I'd rather deal with SB because survivors will eventually get caught by the killer in a dead zone or they'll be outpositioned or theyll.get caught while exhausted rather than deal with a perk that's no risk high reward.

I think the better call is removing the ability to interact for 1.5s after using it. Can still use it for distance, but won't be the BS that it is now.

Sprint Burst is nowhere near as good compared to Dead Hard when you go against S tier killers such as Nurse, Spirit, Blight and Hag.
With SBMM, these are the only killers you’ll see at the top level.

Stop trying to downplay Dead Hard dude, most of us "have a braincell" and have played the game before making the post. Dead Hard has too strong of a benefit for too many things. If it's a must have like DS was then it prob needs a nerf. hOW have you also not seen a teammate or a survivor on killer dead hard while running ino a pallet and they dont gain distance but your swing doesn't count, then you're pallet stunned and the whole chase restarts and you can times that by 4 with the right people

Yeah having the ability to gain a safe distance to loop for ever sounds pretty OP to me, especially if you have 4 people again. Also most cases the killer swings and is slowed, it reallly doesnt matter about being "locked" out of animations. You have plenty of time to still jump a window or throw a pallet

Talking about the first part of this post, how do you not know that dead hard when activated gives you a leap AND immunity.
You really think with how hard you can loop the killer before 1 hook using a team of dead hard tactics, 2-3 gens pop. That's Fair to you? Even if you start a whole new chase it's the same story. also some people have never experienced these problems and face the brunt of the perk still. Stop downplaying Dead Hard.

You do realize that almost 99% killer perks are passive right? Meaning that you just slap it on and go, you have no control over weather it activates or not.
BBQ and Ruin are passive perks and you just can't press a button to get them to work.

It just proves the point that they've never went against it as hard as you do at Rank 1, or you're just simply downplaying it.

just because 1 team lost doesn't take away the perks power, majority of people will blast through 1-2 gens before you even down them if you miss and they dead hard, that's half the game over with a click of a button.

It's not. Just because you throw your keyboard anytime a survivor dead hards and cry "it's OP" does not make the perk OP.
It's an exhaustion perk that gains a survivor much less distance than other exhaustion perks for the ability extend chase if you use it right.

Some people just don't understand balance. It's instinct for each side to protect what makes them strong.
Just gotta hope SBMM gets the perk that rightful balance adjustment it needs.

Deadhard and sprintburst were made to counter dead zones either early in the game due to bad rng or late in the game when you've broken enough pallets. Personally, I don't think survivor should have zero options and get hit twice in a row simply because they are in a bad area of the map.
You also have bloodlust and killers powers which can either circumvent DH by downing you in one hit (Bubba, Myers, GF sometimes) or powers where the added distance literally means nothing (Nurse, Spirit, Blight)

Lithe and Smash Hit are really good at ending chases compared to extending. Obviously the killer can continue to chase after a Lithe or Smash Hit boosted survivor, but the game generally gives you "chase end" score event.
Then Head On is kind of weird as a chase extender, but it does have utility to be able to stun the killer to rescue a survivor being carried.

Spirit or dead hard it is all the same to me. People hate when something works for others ignoring all the time it doesn't. They have one bad game and cry for nerfs.
But hey you are free to do anything you want. Don't be surprised when people don't take emotional outbursts as facts tho.
I honestly will never take op seriously after reading few of his threads. He is not rational, just acting on impulses and anger.

I would argue they all can be used to extend chases it just depends on what the survivor is doing. I have used lithe to extend the chase

Its worse for me since i have low ping. survivors can react for dead hard instead of guess like it was back in the Peer to peer days

Ah yes, let’s nerf the distance even though on console it freezes your game for a second and you do a baby dash and go maybe 2 meters.

I play a lot of killer. Rank 1 killer and when you're going against 4 optimal survivors who run the perk then yeah I get the frustration. That's the only time I get really annoyed about it.
Apart from that I don't understand getting this heated about it.
Most cases it doesn't work, and on console it's absolutely unusable. I used it quite a lot before the performance issues and now I use sprint burst which can be arguably way more beneficial and stronger since it requires the killer to play catch up more than dead hard would.
EDIT: Also can I just say it is beyond dumb when killers complain about dh, ds, unbreakable etc... and survivors complain about noed, ruin&undying etc...
They're PERKS, they're in the game for people to choose. Stop crying about it and just get over it.

That's the whole purpose of the perk dude to dash 250% of ur regular speed what exactly you want from that? You're barking at the wrong tree as I already mentioned they also asked for sprint burst nerf countless times it didn't happened, they asked for noed nerf it didn't happened nor it will happen with dead hard why? Don't worry, in one week you will play with potatoes and you will get your 4k every trials till you end up reaching your galss ceiling, which might not be that high seeing that you complain about a perk that doesn't work 80% of the time.

They don't even realize they lose extra 10 seconds if u use Sprint burst plus looping because with Sprint burst u can make to nearest safe loop and u can take good chase with it but dead hard op because u dash litlle bit to pallet or window lol if ppl starts using sb again I bet there would be nerf threads like this too just like 2 years ago

After your post i went to a game and removed DH to take Sprint Burst.
First trial, at the end the killer called me SB noob 😂

Start using Coup if DH is bothering you this much. Nothing more satisfying for me than hitting survivors down at the end of their dash. You need to adapt instead of throwing your hands in the air and calling for a nerf to a perk that is pretty outplayable compared to the rest of the exhaustion perks.
Also didn't they buff BT? I used to be able to slug as Victor despite it being in play because it used to be contigent on a terror radius
