New skins for Freddy Krueger
I would like everyone to support this post for BHVR to make a new Freddy skin available , a classic FREDDY KRUEGER skin by Robert Englund , this must be done , he does not have skins like most other survivors and killers , this is very unfair to the freddy fan .

Pretty convinced BHVR would be more than happy to add lot of skins for all licensed killers, but they have to convince the license holders to do so, and while some might be a bit more easy on the matter (Netflix regarding Demo, Nancy and Steve, for example), others are pretty stinky (or legally unable to give the OK) about it

Think about how much time was needed to get the current Noes content to the newer platforms.
they are probably already trying to get some cosmetics for Quentin and Freddy. I wouldn’t be surprised if this doesn’t succeed. A cosmetic in the likeness of the original Freddy-actor is pretty unlikely..

I think they only got the rights to use the reboot Freddy. That's why we don't have the Freddy played by Robert Englund. To put a skin of him in here they would have to get the rights to another IP. Only it wouldn't be a new killer it would just be a skin and probably wouldn't sell as much.

the idea of the post is exactly to pressure everyone to be able to make it happen , and not to be accommodated with the current situation , things change when everyone wants change , companies who want money , they have nothing to lose , not even us .

Its not only up to BHVR to release skins for licensed characters, the license holders must agree to it and by the looks of how much it took to put Freddy on Switch and the lack of cosmetics for both him and Quentin makes me believe Friday 13º license holders are the hardest to deal with. The very first thing comes to mind is they are probably asking for a very big cut since money is almost always the problem.

Some of these license holders for the classic killers are going to be stingy about money because they've got nothing else going for them other than the same replay royalties on a handful of channels and a few rentals here and there. So some game developer comes along and presents a new revenue stream option to them and of course they wanna be greedy about it.

Jackie was menacing but the script and the makeup ruined it. I think if they had a competent writer and better design he could have been amazing. He's a great actor.

He’s a tremendous actor, he just looked silly, visually, and he pales in comparison to Robert Englund. Englund’s makeup was more sinister looking, as well, imo. Reboot Freddy just looked like JEH in a rubber mask.
The biggest division from the menacing aspect of Krueger (and why I feel RE is more effective) is size... Jackie is 5’ 5” while Robert is 5’ 10” Also, his voice just sounded like Rorschach from Watchmen with sfx tweaks.
The writing wasn’t good, I agree... and as far as direction goes, all Samuel Bayer directed were a plethora of music videos. That’s not enough credibility to take on such a beloved franchise.
Overall, they should have invited Wes Craven’s insight to the film. That’s where they failed the most.

They should have:
- Killed Nancy off and made Quentin the main character
- Make Freddy actually innocent like the movie faked you into thinking
- Get rid of all the crappy cgi.
This in my opinion would have made the plot actually interesting.

As far as I'm aware Wes Craven detested the remake in its entirety and wanted nothing to do with it. Can't blame him, he probably saw the Halloween remakes and rightfully feared the worst. The problem with that type of remake is that it just retreads the original but worse, like QwQw said, making him innocent would have been a better twist.

Kris, on the other hand, wasn’t given a proper send off, imo. She’s basically Tina from the original, and Wes Craven did her death scene better.

They didn’t even consult Wes about the reboot. At least those involved with the Last House on the Left remake invited him to lend his expertise to the film.

I know it sounds harsh but I legit hope Netflix's gaming project fails miserably and they have to crawl back to BHVR asking to reenable the Stranger Things DLC again.
