If Survivors choose a totem to light for Boons, let Killers choose their Hex totem locations.

Oh, no, now Undying will be meta. Can you imagine a world where killers waste a perk slot running Undying? This is absurd! What the heck am I supposed to pair with Undying? Ruin? Give me a break. This game just loves survivors. Doesn't it?

My issue is if the killers do have to break them, that's ridiculous.

Issue with that is Hex: Plaything means you cannot run any other hex perks that are probably worth running more than that.

Didnt they say boom totems had to do with bein near a dull totem.

Detectives Hunch is the best perk in the game for finding Hex totems.
You talk like someone who doesn’t play Killer or Survivor, your insight is not very good at all.

As a solo survivor myself, yes you do have plenty of time to do bones lol.
Entity bless DH.

IMO, killers should be able to corrupt boon totems, reaping the benefits for themselves or giving tokens to undying to make hex totems last longer by cleansing a totem consumes a token (basically the tokens work as the old undying) once per boon totem, per game.

If this is true, It's not fair.
- Killer don't have enough time to search totems and cleansing them, if you are looking for a totem the survivors will do the gens meanwhile.
- Killer don't have totem tracking perks.
- You are just one person, meaning you have less chance of finding a totem than 4 persons.
I assumed the boon totem would work for survivor searching the boon totem and breaking it for enabling the perk.
And the comedians of "just cleanse totems" didn't think anyhing about that.

Instead of yelling "It is not fair.", just wait until we know more.
We did not have a Meta-Survivor Perk in years (if we dont count MoM), so you cannot even be sure if Boon-Perks will be good. And then it entirely depends on what the Perk is doing, how long it takes to bless a Totem, how often it can be done per Trial (one-time use and if the Killer removes it, it is gone or if you can bless another Totem).
So many questions, way too early to complain already.

Because the stuff you talk about and say is wrong. You absolutely have time to do bones as Survivor. The best players do so consistently.
1 -
Yep and if boon totems are any good everyone will be playing the best killers for getting to said totems:
Sprit, Nurse, Wraith, and Blight.
So much fun making a mechanic that makes more people play spirit am I right?
2 -
You were speaking like it is impossible to do anything but gens as a solo, which is not true. Survivors on coms or solo can easily accomplish all survivor tasks.
3 -
These killers are already super common nowadays, I doubt someone is going to pick them "man I want to get rid of those boons"

Whoever came up with Boon Totems should be fired.

As there are 4 survivors and only 1 killer, its a fair thing to ask survivors to do bones as there are 4 of them, its unfair to ask the killer to do bones as he has 4 little gremlin creatures to kill as well as protecting gens

It all depends on how strong these boon totem perks are. The effects simply can't be so strong that a killer is pretty much forced to go look for the totem.
If that's not the case, I think these new perks will be fine. It's probably not unlikely to stumble upon such totem while playing the game normally anyways. As a killer you can roam the map freely without having to hide.
Also, killer really isn't that miserable to play anymore.

1/4 survivors wasting time is not equal to the killer wasting time.

Well this is a discussion forum and anyone can say what they like on the topic or comment on what people are saying. You going off on people that you don't care about x,y, or z doesn't make your point any stronger lol. You made a blanket statement which is obviously is not true and people pointing out otherwise makes you mad lol.
Any half decent survivor (solo or swf) can do gens, cleanse totems, and loop a good killer at red ranks. If you can't, do you really belong at higher ranks?
Your experience is obviously different then mine. Its not a bad thing, but I get to red constantly with a totem perk (I just really love Detective's Hunch). Totems give me extra BP and it helps the team more often then not. Noed isn't the only annoying hex.
You are far more valuable to your team if you adapt to the match instead of putting your head in gen and ignoring all other factors ^^ You do you tho!

Letting killers control when they can place their totems sounds cool. Would play well with devour and huntress lullaby.

There's nothing to argue, you're simply wrong. You do have time to do totems.

So, be a non top tier killer without the sweatiest meta build, spawn into a big map.
Walk straight for the farthest generator as fast as you can
See the gen pop when you're halfway across the map.
Now you need to chase and hook individual survivors, generate map pressure against all four survivors, defend the remaining six generators.
You absolutely do not have time to start wandering around in the red forest to try and find a boon totem to snuff out. Heck, even if you see the aura from any distance, simply walking to it on the other side of the map and back would mean another one or two generators lost.
And what would the boon be? Faster gen repair speeds, because gens should pop before the killer has time to spawn in?
It just seems like a very bad idea unless it's done very very right. Like setting up boon totems would require all survivor perk slots. Or snuffing it out would block all gens and expose and reveal the auras of all survivors for 3 minutes. Or have gen repair speed be significantly slower without the boon totem.
The killers definitely do not need a side objective, they can't afford to lose any time as is.

Alternate idea: A perk that lets a Killer turn a Boon Totem into a previously destroyed Hex Totem.
I also wonder if they shouldn't increase the number of totems overall if they're going this route
