SBMM is a MASSIVE negative
I thought matches were going to be a fair 2K on average? I can totally confirm that is NOT true. Every match this morning as a solo survivor was a slaughter at 4 or 5 gens still remaining. Why am I playing against an overpowered Wraith with slowdown perks and tinkerer? If SBMM was working properly I shouldn’t be facing that. This is proof it is not working or has been disabled.
Killer is still entirely way too easy unless it is a 4 man SWF. Killers are sweating even more profusely. The only survivors winning are 4 man teams because killer is way overpowered and 4 man teams are overpowered as well.
I think instead of SBMM there should be some type of director that balances matches so they feel fair for both sides. Killers should be penalized for killrushing kills and SWAT teams should face a penalty for genrushing. Perhaps the entity can cast a spell on the survivors that genrush and will give a helping hand when the killer is obviously outclassing a solo team. All the sweat in the matches is ruining the fun.
The fun factor was already low and this new MM is making it worse.

I don't know what your talking about I've been doing good

Finally a sluzzy post I can agree with
but also just food for thought why would a wraith use tinkerer since he is already undetectable by his power, that kinda sounds like that part was exaggerated

My solo games are leagues better. Sorry, Sluzzo.

Ideally and with time, this is supposed to give more information on perks/killers and how they perform (either alone or combo'd) in higher MMR (or even in all brackets). The problem with the old system was how easy it was to get to higher ranks so the data it gave barely meant anything. It's like trying to catalogue types of dogs with the only condition being "they walk on four legs" so a cat, a pig and a gator are really just different types of dogs.

I wish I could say the same. First night of SBMM on the 8th, I was getting 3k and hatch or 4k, always at 1 gen left, all night. Didn't matter which killer. But the BPs scores were all very close between the five of us, so didn't feel unbalanced. It felt balanced and okay. The survivors just tended to fall apart at the 1-gen remaining because they always managed to 3-gen themselves. It wasn't even something I actively tried to make happen.
But games on the 9th and 10th? Forget about it. Now, match after match after match, I'm lucky to get 1 or 2 hooks against these survivors. That has gone on for a total of about 20-30 matches so far, with absolutely no change in match "skill quality" occurring. I even stuck to one killer, Myers, just to hope for some fair-and-balanced stabilization.
Keep in mind, I play casually. I don't sweat a 4k, don't run meta perks, and generally just play whatever killer and perk loadout strikes me at the moment. Always have played that way.
This has not been fun. It's been tedious and causing me to rethink playing further.

Try losing more until you get opponents on level you want.
Maybe your survival rare is too high without even realising it Sluzzy.

"The fun factor was already low and this new MM is making it worse."
That is exactly what I thought it would happen, judging by how awful the MMR tests were.
I was surprised when everyone seemed to like it, but I guess that isn't true anymore.

oh hey general.

That would be the shock of the century.

I've been getting a lot of Megheads with one or two really good survivor. The matchmaking doesn't feel quite as fair as the previous SBMM test. I'm hoping after the reset in 2 days things will improve slowly

Sorry but putting Wraith in the "overpowered" bracket puts a big hole in your credibility :(

The benefit is incredibly small, but it's there: You won't waste time uncloaking.
This benefit only really applies when the Survivors are surrounded by tall walls & objects though.

Hey there, my friend. Good to see you!

Hi Sluzzy! Are you doing well today? Can I have your autograph?

For once, I actually agree with Sluzzy
I'm a soloQ player almost exclusively, and my experience went from "some good, some bad" to almost all complete slaughterfests with barely any objectives done.
I don't even care about escaping, I prefer to play for max points, but I almost never even get that potential anymore.

A system that incentivizes losing is a failed design.
1 -
Yeah, and this one definitely does.

Been using any fun killer perks recently sluzz?

Hey Sluzzy, how's your games been?
Sorry to hear it's not as great as you thought it'd be.

All of my soloQ games, well around 75% have been 4k kills. Every game has always had a iri rank 1/2 against 2 red rank and 2 silver or bronze or grey. It is literally like having 3 players only against an experienced killer.
The MMR is totally rubbish since live in my experience over the past few days

The best part about Tinkerer is the info that you get from it. Since Wraith is super speedy while cloaked, he can catch up to the gen before it pops.

I guess but I still think there are better perks than tinkerer on wraith
0 -
Yeah, I personally think BBQ or Thrilling are better info perks for Wraith.

I actually agree with Sluzzy from time to time but not today. My game's been great.

Not me actually kind of agreeing with sluzzy a little bit 😳

So far i've had games where my teammates aren't that good and after seeing ranks it made sense, but after a few games it got better. My first killer game under it was really easy, got rocked the next one and the one after i rocked. So idk it probably works after a couple games.
