They'll never do that, they dont want us to know how bad the system is

Maybe not, but I think it would only help. A lot of players would simply want to just make this arbitrary number go up, simply because it's there, imo. I understand the player base doesn't really feel listened to, but don't ask don't receive. Just trying to be constructive and wanted to put it out there again.

I would say, don't show MMR until you hit a certain point. Up to that point they can be unranked. But once they hit the top 25 percent. It could be as simple as saying hey you're in the top 25 percent, you're in the top 15 percent, you're in the top 5 percent and you're in the top percent.

Agreed. BHVR just can't code. And we've more than asked, but BHVR has all but told us on more than one occasion that they think they know better than us

Im less concerned with the system showing us what our rank is than i am with bhvr being transparent about how it works. Saying "We have a system to improve matchmaking, but it's a secret" is not exactly being transparent, interactive with community, or being open to feedback. We can't give feedback on a system we have to guess about. I watched something where someone claims to have datamined roughly how the system works. Whether or not they're accurate, is that really what bhvr wants us to do with their system?
Suggestion: Be open about how it works. Be receptive to feedback from people who actually play the game. Especially people who have put more hours into playing the game than bhvr has coding the system that decides how to handle matchmaking. To quote rick and morty: "You may have created this universe, but i live in it". Not me personally, i'm just a noob sub 40 hours killer. But i also know that if i rise in the SBMM system too quickly and only go against survivors who stomp me consistently i'm unlikely to reach 100 hours.
Your players are a fantastic resource. Use them, not keep them in the dark.

The problem is BHVR sucks at coding, and largely doesn't care about our feedback. They've shown on plenty of occasions that they think they know better than us. As long as they keep pumping out new crap to lure in new players, they don't really care about returning players
