MY IDEA ABOUT HOW TO BALANCE THE GAME AT TOP MMR

Hello everyone, what I'm going to say are all personal considerations/opinions that come out from MY personal view about the game and can be different than yours. This said, as the title say, I wanted to share my idea about how the game could be more balanced at top tier MMR players.. this idea came from seeing many streamers (and myself as well as many of my friends) struggling while playing killer at TOP TIER MMR.. the problem comes from the fact that every survivors at this level are playing meta builds with DS, DEAD HARDS,BT etc. , they are gonna drop every pallet they have without trying "stylish/risky plays" and are gonna bodyblock/confuse the killer as soon as they figure out that he is gonna tunnel a guy.. furthermore they are gonna know the exact totem spawns and usually ruin is done in less than a minute + they are going to genrush making ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE for killers to win.. so what's the problem in this? NONE.. because that's exactly what survs are supposed to do, to play the most efficient way they can so they can reach their objective (the escape). The problem is that this situation makes top mmr killers feel forced to just use nurse and spirit (who are the only killers who are able to ignore games mechanics) to actually being able to compete against those survivors, leading to a lack of variety in the TOP MMR matches.. survs are gonna find always same killers and killers are gonna be forced to play always same killers to being able to have fair matches where the most skilled player wins.

So, this said.. WHAT'S A POSSIBLE SOLUTION?

I think that nerfing/buffing a role instead of the other is not a valid solution because balancing the game for top MMR players will make the game unbalanced for the mid and low MMR players and viceversa.. so here comes my idea: now that the game can actually track each player's skill with the MMR system (which I guess is going to be even more accurate with every update), the game could have a "variable balancing" that changes game's mechanics depending from the players skill level. For example a top tier SWF could have way less pallets , more time required to complete gens, actions etc. or even more drastic changes like hex totems "protected" until X gens are done , different map layouts or built-in perks inside killer's power like NOED or ruin. Instead low tier MMR players could have more pallets than usual, better drop rates from chests and stuff like this.. with maybe a list of "buff and nerfs" applied to each role showed after the offering screen. (of course I know that those examples are a bit "too much" but I think that the overall idea about balancing the game in different ways for different MMR skill levels could be a good touch to the game. I wish to know what you guys think about this and wish you a great time into the fog 😁

I think an easier way would be balancing the maps. A big part of the frustration is in high MMR, almost 75% of matches, a map offering that strongly benefits the survivors is used like Haddonfield, Ormond, The Game, etc. If maps were more balanced with less safe pallets, and unfair structures like House of pain etc I feel like it would be easier to have a more balanced experience for every skill group, not only high MMR.

Swf should not be able to choose the same perk on different members. This way they would have to have a designated role in the team. So no multiple ds, dead hard, unbreakable etc.

This would make it a little more fair imo.

I agree on this, but the point is that people who start playing the game or people who stand in the middle tier MMR are not going to genrush so hard or know every totem spawn.. furthermore they mostly rely on pallets to take distance from killer instead of using them to make him loose time,so balancing the maps at top tier (which I think would mean removing a great amount of pallets or at least making them way less safe so the survivor is forced to leave without making the killer forced to destroy them + other changes..) would make the game unbalanced at lower ones because survs would run out of pallets pretty quickly + their mates wouldn't play aggressive on generators (you know, most of mid tier survivors look for totems, chests or even sabo hooks) and this, in my opinion, would make the game more killer-sided.That's why I think that would be a nice idea making the game more flexible.

I think that an even better idea to have fairest matches would be developing an AI which learns the playstyle of each player (like if they mostly do gens, if they prefer trolling killer and making great chases, if they are selfish or prefer giving their life for others etc.) to set specific rules to the match (like if they are players who spot totems in 2 seconds the game would set a rule that makes impossible to clean totems until X gens are done; or if they are survivors who genrush the game would increase time needed for a generators and so on..)

This would be interesting but I feel this would not address the problem.. because as killer DS is annoying for sure , but even as survivor getting caught, camped and tunnelled is pretty annoying; so removing the possibility to avoid this would not be good in my opinion. Furthermore, at top tier MMR, perks are not the real problems.. I mean, DS exist in this game since 2016, and after a little BT came out as well and they can be easily avoided, and same is about dead hard.. the problem in my opinion is the fact that most of matches are ending up way to quickly, so even great killers like the blight have no way to win the match.. that's why I think that most of people are playing killers like nurse and spirit which I think are the only ones who can apply so much pressure that survivors must go away from gens.. and even with those killer you have to struggle if you want to win.
