This map is awful to play on for both sides. It's too large. Killers have a hard time using their powers. The pallets are either god-tier or useless. There's a ton of guesswork for survivor pathing unless you happen to know the map by heart. Survivors often advance hook states because teammates can't find them on the hook. You either run to a room with a good tile. run to a dead end room, or run to nothing at all. It's not fun at all. End rant.

I think I've never had a genuine game on that map. At least one person just gives up. I try to like that map as Ghostface main but even with him I never have a good time on it.

RPD might look good, but from the gameplay perspective, its completely garbage.

For killer its a horror, because its so big. Also half of the killer's powers get severely nerfed by the incrinate hallways, like Blight, Billy, Nurse, etc.

For survivors its equally bad, because finding generators is basically a matter of luck. Chases are really not great, because finding loops is basically guesswork, and hooked people often lose 2 hookstates at once, because the map is one giant maze.

Basically nobody has fun on that map, and its terrible for both killer and survivors.

Yah for me the saloon is the map I enjoy playing both as killer and survivor equally. Rpd is the map I hate playing as both killer and survivor equally

I think it should be rehauled or have another map take its place

    I'll add on to that.

Basically anytime I move or rotate my camera the frames just TANK. It's like the map is unloading itself when you aren't looking (when those frames happen, I literally can see the abyss of not loaded textures)

Honestly though I find the map still sucks even when it's working ad intended. I think thencore issue is that it's based off of a very different game so the type lf layout works in re far better than dbd. No amount of frame rate is going to change that.

Still, it would be nice not to have a worry that next match I won't be able to play because of this one specific map.

    It's very demoralizing.

They could split it into two. I hate this map, is too inaccessible and I always get lost, running in circles.

No it's good for both and even worse for some killers, how about how create a map design, sketch it name it locations for totems etc then talk about removing something from a crossover because you don't like it?

Rather than remove something that didn't or don't like and ruin it for everyone else how about you provide constructive feedback, tweaks, improvements new map idea's something that isn't I hate it there for get rid of it. Very very reminiscent of something in history. Not only toxic it's bad for this game as a whole to simply remove something, that was based on a recent dlc and is based off a game entirely. MY EXPERIENCE I hardly get the map as either role and want it more because I excell at it. Both roles.

    Alright:

    • The map is mostly corridors. That works for survivor horror aspect of Resident Evil. DBD is a 1v4 game. A lot of corridors don't work well against some killers, while excel at helping others.
    • The map IS BIG. Like Red Forest levels of big. And has 3 floors!
    • The map works bad on worse pc's (and other maps are playable, this one is not)
    • (This is without any helping perks mind you) I've once seen a survivor run aroud the WHOLE MAP looking for the final generator. They found it after 2 minutes.
    • Has so many rooms that are just... bad and pointless.

The corridors have other doors which have their advantages against specific killers and strengths for specific killers. 4v1 the survivors already have the advantages of being spaced out while at the same time the killer lacks perk synergy with most but I have seen some killers thrive on this map by usingnit strategically and letting a specific side of the map be done forcing them to come to a well guarded side, I.E Trapper, Pig, proper use of victor, etc the game is supposed to be a challenging experience and fun for all. I would believe camping would be a priority over a map.

Big maps are wonderful, because it offers versatile options and let's be honest the smaller a map is the worst it is actually for a 4v1 in the killer's favor.

PC users, Hmm. This is more of a personal problem when people don't upgrade the hardware every 5-10 years I have a playstation "regular" not pro and never a issue so if less than that in specs then not much of a gaming PC, Pro works fine even PS5. But again, PC users have to upgrade their hardware eventually before their phone is superior.

Generator locations are predetermined and rarely even change, my statement is that as it standa RPD is rarely even used when playing as this person regardless of the fact they could have been new. Doesn't bother to recall generator locations off memory or perhaps too casual of a player? I have seen killers with no perks and survivors with no perks do well against each other and the like. So it's a variable.

Has many rooms because it's a replica of Resident evil, what we need is actually more things like this to hide totems. Now you may not know or do totems are becoming easier and easier and nearly a joke perk as with 2 people in any makeshift group using small game it literally means no totems, no hexs, irony is that they added counterforce to Jill which shows you the furthest one away from you but you cleanse faster. While I say rooms are needed or better spots to hide as survivor and hide totems hexes are being unconsciously fazed out by this company and don't even know it.

But thank you for the wonderful feedback I actually feel you put thought in to it. :]

I don't think it should be completely taken out but make variations like badham preschool.

Two of them contain the central room but split into East and west wings, then 2 for upstairs and downstairs.

    4 variations, smaller map.

The problem is it's too big now but as soon as you start closing off floors or wings becomes too small and restrictive due to the layout being lots of long halls and then small clusters of rooms.

Visually the map is lovely and really pays homage to the RPD very well. It even makes the layout more logical than the RE2 version but it just doesn't work for DBD.

Given the general disliking for indoor maps the community seems to have I'm surprised they went for the RPD and not the streets of Raccoon City.
