Barbecue & Chilli Perk
Well, I wanted to give you a suggestion about the barbecue & chilli perk, we all know that it is one of the most stolen killer perks in DBD, my suggestion would be to transform this perk into a TOTEM, where the survivor can purify it so that the killer doesn't see the survivor's location when deceiving a survivor! that's my suggestion!

BBQ isn't strong enough to justify it being a hex perk. Look at Devour Hope, that lets the killer one-hit down and mori survivors; seeing an aura for a few seconds is nowhere near that strong.
Anyway, when I'm the survivor on the hook, I want the killer to have BBQ so they go the hell away and let me get rescued.

You are asking for more camping then. Survivors will not like that.

Absolutely not.

C'mon dude. BBQ is actually healthy for the game. It entices killers to leave the hook and rewards them for doing so. It is also easily countered. And you should be able to figure out if the killer has it within 1 or 2 hooks.

look look!
It's new players that don't know it has 4 counters, persuades killers to not camp and go for everyone, and isn't overpowered since it is just info.
Is the perk good? Yes but my god just get gud as this perk just allows the killer to be better at applying pressure by entering chases and even then good survivors will easy get all the gens done if the killer is only playing that way.

Here's what I tell everyone who suggests this.
BBQ is one of the few perks that not only incentivizes the killer not to camp, but also not to tunnel in order to get the double BP.
Now, how would changing this perk benefit the health of the game? What's stopping it from simply being replaced by Thrilling Tremors or another slowdown perk that survivors hate?
I'd advise not to touch the perk. It's fine as is.

Either way, killers camp in the same way!

Ok ok, I'm not a novice player! sometimes I get angry with this skill!

This is the worst idea I've heard in some time. Welcome to the Forum Chami and try not to take people piling on personal. You are clearly new, and don't know YET that Barbecue & Chili is the best Perk for SURVIVORS to ever come down the pipe. If that Perk didn't exist, or could be cleansed as you suggest, Camping would increase 100x over. The Perk incentivizes Killers leaving the hook. They can't see anyone up close, but they get a flash of those Auras far away, and thus have somewhere to go. Without it, the Killer weighs if a bird in the hand worth two in the bush. Do you see my point? There is lots of counter play to the Perk, and even if the Killer does see your Aura (normally you should WANT them to see it to buy some space for a rescue), you have plenty of time and head start to not be there. If you don't want to be seen there are Lockers and Generators you can angle to be between you and the hooking (while you work on them of course). Long story short (already too late for that really) the Perk benefits you and your team as much as it does the Killer.

Hex: Barbecue & Chili
Please don't make this a thing.
(insert absolutely everything from the OG BBQ)
The Hex's effects persists for as long as the totem stands.

Why do people keep wanting to nerf a perk that discourages camping??????
3 -
They're newbie survivors who play immersed in map corners and then have a tantrum when they get found right away.
Anyone who's played the game for a sufficient amount of time knows that BBQ is the healthiest perk in the game, it's the most effective anti-camping and anti-tunnelling perk in the game, and it only gets used so much because of the double bloodpoints effect, which was likely added specifically because they wanted to encourage killers to use this healthy perk.

Bang, on the nose. :)

It would be better if distortion got a buff.

nah, BBQ aura reveal is balanced.

Please leave BBQ & Chili alone, it is the only perk that helps me level up killers. I want my bloodpoints kthxbye.

Here's the thing about perks like this. Sure, call them an incentive for not camping, but honestly that's a pretty low-set bar to begin with. Coupled with the fact that all perks are optional to have on any killer, arguing solely for that incentive is like supporting killers who say "I NEED to have a perk like BBQ and Chilli or else I WILL be a jerk and camp all the time!" To me, there's very little excuse for a low bar like that.
Additionally, four seconds is a long time for exposure. Yes, there are counters, but they are very specific and take a lot of practice. It takes a LOT more time and practice for a survivor to counter BBQ and Chilli (on its own, mind you) than it is for a killer to "master" it.
You know what I propose for an alternative incentive perk? A survivor perk that significantly increases gen repair speed when the killer is within a certain distance from a hooked survivor. Call it "from a safe distance" or something.
As for BBQ and Chilli, nerf it. Hex would work. Otherwise, make it 3 seconds instead of 4 with no additional bp.

BBQ is fine. Hide in a locker to avoid the reveal. The extra bloodpoints is motivation for people to actually play Killer, if it didn't do that you probably wouldn't find games as often.

Why tho?
BBQ is not that good perk for most killers, you have only few where it is actually good. -> Blight, Spirit, Huntress, Nurse, Oni and Hillbilly.
Trust me, you don't want to nerf BBQ, because then killers will start to use better alternatives like Tinkerer and you will start complaining again.

god please no

4 Seconds is not much, when it works only on distant survivors.
I don't need to have BBQ, but I want perk that will help me decide what to do next.
You have ways to counter BBQ -> Hide in locker or behind the gen, easy.
BBQ is not that good perk for most killers, because they don't benefit as much from that reveal (they are slow). If you nerf it, then you are going to see lot more Tinkerers. Enjoy that.
It is used that much, because players want BP, not because it is that good perk.

I don't understand why people keep saying this. BBQ is fine.

You have lockers and distortion perk or you can get close to the hooking to avoid detection.

You can also just hide behind gen... but it is too good perk.
