NOED is a heavily complained about perk in DBD, however, I don't mind NOED nearly as much as I do Franklin's Demise, as NOED is preventable. Franklin's Demise expects you to not get hit at all so you don't lose your item, what the actual hell? You're gonna inevitably get hit. While you can drop your item before getting hit to avoid this happening, as it only gets destroyed if Franklin's makes you drop it, you'll have to keep going back to get it and still likely be unable to use it.

You might say Franklin's is the only counter to keys, while this is true, it's a very bad counter as Survivors can just stash their key somewhere until they need it for the hatch. This can be done with other items too, but then you won't be able to use them, keys are different as they're one use items. Keys should be addressed in a different way.

Franklin's Demise should be a hex perk, and perhaps add an additional effect of making any item on the ground slowly lose it's charges, regardless of how it was dropped, and tell the Survivor who dropped it that you have Franklin's (as it shows the Cursed effect.) This would be much more fair and actually add some fair counterplay to the perk rather than being forced to drop your item in an effort to keep it from breaking, which also prevents you from using it.
