So the gates are open

Why don't survivors leave? Why not just press W like you did all match? Why wait the whole two minutes?

Me and two other survivors died, the fourth survivor remained because they were locker hopping. Then they made noise at the hatch and refused to leave until the killer came over and saw them. They practically helped the killer get a 3k and then gloated about escaping. Why?

To farm for points if my teammates rushed gens. Or to make sure the last injured person gets out.

Or to sacrifice myself to killer if I can tell they're less experienced than me and had a rough time.

Because just like any bully, they only ever feel safe to showcase this behaviour when they're 100% certain there's nothing you can do about it, never realising how sad that is.

And don't let anyone tell you it's because they want to "reward" the Killer with a free hit. It is a pure power trip thing.

Not sure what that matters. I practically always get 0k as killer, I'm too lazy to kill, and 99% of the time yeah, survivors refuse to just leave. I open one gate and then I use the time to break doors, find the hatch, or sometimes I go guard the second exit gate and the survivors basically kill themselves determined that I should let them open it, for some reason.

The behavior is super crappy and I don't get it. Many survivors practically demand that killers see them escape, whether that survivor did anything during the match or not. And I've also seen survivors DC when their attempt to gloat or be greedy backfires. The survivors who do those sorts of things are entitled and they're bad winners.

I used to do it for a free hit, but killers told me to stop so I stopped. Never a power trip thing.

They either want the killer to see them escape... Which irritates me none the less

They want the EXP. that a longer match has... makes sense but still

They want the killer to at least hit them... Which doesn't happen all that much but at some point they must realize I won't go near the gates

That's the thing, I've seen Killers say the same thing countless times, making it very clear that leaving after everyone's safe is the kind thing to do.

Which is why I think that anyone who uses this as an excuse is just straight up lying, unless they're new.

    Because...

I have challenge to escape through hatch with a map or escape through hatch and I didn't bring/find a key.

I have "have x survivors escape while you're still alive" challenge.

If someone is injured I wait to make sure they're good.

I didn't find my red/blue glyph during the match or crappy performance issues caused me to screw up skill checks on yellow glyph and now I'm trying to get the stupid glyph before time runs out.

Looking for killer so they can kill me.

Survivors usually do this just to gloat that they won.

Because they want you to see that they're 'better' than you by escaping. A small few may be doing it for more points, but usually, it's just to be toxic.

No, it is just a difference of opinion. I like the free hits and lots of survivors give them to me. The real weirdos are the ones who want you to get to gate so they can dart out WITHOUT giving me my bloodpoints. Foul creatures.

The most frustraiting is when you've found the hatchet and your teammates refusing to leave until collapse goes to zero that makes you unable to runaway through the hatchet. It's so stupid!

Free points. If u come closer they get chasing points, if u hit and miss, they got points, etc....

I usually do it to give the killer two free hits (point tech insures escape). If I get extra WGLF stacks for protection hits for my teammates who are also at the gate, that's just a bonus.

Free hits for the killer disapeared à year ago for this kiddish behaviour

Two years ago we did this to give a fiew more points to the killer (we still do with friends for Nice killer players)

But it all changed nowadays for this and its so cringe

I only do this when I don’t know if everyone is safe. But otherwise I just leave. Survivors who do it to bully are sore winners and just wanna ruin the killers experience.
