🤏🏻 This close to permanently playing nurse.
I'm a Legion main and before MMR I would usually 3k even against "good" survivors. Of course, nearly every SWF I ran across would give me no more than a 1k if I was lucky, I managed to win the majority of my games. This apparently put me at a high MMR. I literally can NOT play my main killer anymore because I've beem placed at such a high MMR and Legion simply can not compete with a team of 4 competent survivors, SWF or not. For every 1 win I get(minimum 3k and it's always a sweaty af match) I get around 10 games in a row where I can barely even get 1 kill. I used to have fun playing Legion and loved being challenged every other game but getting stomped into the dirt match after match no matter how hard I try has made me despise playing my favorite killer. Since my MMR is apparently quite high, I feel pretty much forced to play 1 of the 3 killers who can actually compete at my MMR. It's so unfair to he forced off your favorite characters simply because they can't compete at the level you've been placed at. Survivors get rewarded for higher MMR by getting placed with better teammates, but killers are punished more and more the higher they get. Not to mention the queuesl times are insane. So I guess I'm going to have to swap to nurse forever if I want to have a chance against the survivors I'm so often put against. RIP Susie. I'll miss you. 😭

M1 Killers are so incredibly frustrating to play, even against mediocre Survivors. Because all they need to do, is drop some pallets to stall and by the time you get a down you lose a gen, only to repeat the process with the next Survivor until it's a gg. It's like the better both players are, the less skill is involved.

Just run Starstruck, Tinkerer, Ruin and Pop.

It would be boring to have to run the same build every single time. I would like to try out varieties but it’s hard to right now because of how fast games go.

For Nurse I meant

I wouldn't quit my favorite killer just because of mmr when I could just derank...

As far as i know u can't derank. But also it allows u to have fun. Once u hit your chosen color (iri, gold, silver etc) u can't derank no matter u do. So after u hit it u can play whatever u want.

You are correct, the grades do not derank. You stay at whatever emblem you achieve until reset.
I am just saying I would tolerate all of the annoying 3 to 4 man escapes until my Legion mmr normalized. A lot of people are getting stomped because the data from before mmr was 4k after 4k after 4k. And against survivors of the same level, they aren't able to compete any more.
I personally do not think giving up and converting to Nurse only makes any sense for anyone besides streamers dedicated to brining high level games to their audience. Normal people do not need to resort to that.

Understandable. I am also not fun of new MMR.
However I would not advice to be forced to play the best killer(s) IF the ONLY reason is to have a chance to have decent games (aka you don't play that Killer for fun anymore).
Play what you want, focus on fun rather than kills or wins but if you still can't / don't want to do that... Then I would not play Killer at all.

Just play survivor.
I really mean it. My escape rate as solo has skyrocketed. Even to the point where I equip full item farm builds.
When I play killer for a daily or challenge, I instantly regret it. So survivor it is. At least for the next 5 days...

I started learning Nurse one year ago after being stomped by swfs. No regrets.
Today I just expanded my arsenal and Spirit is my second killer.
Go for it. 😋

I don't blame you what so ever. Since MMR dropped there has been a significant increase in games where the killer is running NOED. So run Nurse and NOED because that's all that is incentivized now. There is no reward based on play, just a reward based on how much you play, while at the same time your games a much more sweaty for now reason smh.

So, one tip I would have for anyone really struggling on M1 killers and MMR: run fewer slowdowns and run more chase perks. M1 killers actually get little value from slowdown perks because they also struggle to pressure and down survivors. PGTW and Ruin do nothing if you can't force survivors off of gens and down/hook them. It seems counterintuitive, but you need to augment their chase ability in many cases rather than extend the game. You'll never, ever outpace safe tile count relative to gens against optimal survivors.
Watch any M1 killer in comp DbD and you'll see them take Corrupt/Bamboozle/Brutal/NOED. No slowdown other than Corrupt. A Nurse player will take the slowdowns because they can actually get downs efficiently without perk help. A Trapper/Legion/Pig/etc can't. I consistently win uber sweaty games on Trapper with that build.

Aside from NOED (I use BBQ), that's basically my build for Legion, Wraith, Myers, Pig and Freddy. Good to know I use a comp build lol.

It's a really good build if you have good killer fundamentals. Mileage may vary depending on how "mean" you play

You can't derank and it also won't affect your mmr, you'll still face the same mmr you're currently stuck at even after grade reset.

After the changes to Spirit, might as well stick to Nurse again.
