The Spirit Nerf Can't make it to live
So, what concerns me is not the directional phasing that much (though that's a massive nerf in of itself). The dust clouds are going to be an apocalyptic mistake. There's only one way in which it might be acceptable, and that's if it behaves like scratchmarks. Otherwise, what's happening is that the survivors have more information to where Spirit is than she has on their location. Spirit ONLY has a visual indicator for the survivor when they're in grass, which is not consistent. As it stands, any loop that does not have grass in its main pathways is going to give survivors the reverse effect. These nerfs are so substantial, that Spirit could literally have little to no cooldown, and be a balanced killer. A 15 second cooldown for this power is not an acceptable trade-off. Just rework her if you feel this much pressure to change her. Turning her power into a slightly better Pig dash is not the answer.

Except for the fact that spirit can still hear footsteps pinpoint exact, and if they aren't using iron will, can hear their injured sounds as well. Spirit still overall has more info to use, and from what they said, the dust will just be something you can see tiny near the feet while you are out in the open. On maps with lots of grass and shrubbery, this won't matter just like the patch notes said. Also mind you this whole time, her power is still literally the exact same, she still has insane movement speed and easy hits on almost every loop

Footsteps are definitely not exact. There's still guesswork to be done. Anyone that told you the footsteps are perfect info is lying to you. What insane movements speed? You mean the exact same speed as a Pig Dash, that's known to be a pathetic anti-loop power except Spirit can't see in exchange for being able to move at that speed for twice the time?

Oni will get revenge.

I believe I'm aa decent Oni. Oni Revenge month?

At least they should revert the Iron Will and Stridor changes, now that there is finally a decent nerf.
But yeah, she's overnerfed, people asked a nerf about the stand still mind game, not knowing exactly where she is.

Cant judge without see. She needs counterplay, because she lack it (I like play her, but I hate play against her personally). Hope deve fix but not kill her.

Great. Where's the exhaustion perk nerf?

I dont know man. Things are not correlated I think. I am a killer main, and I think killer and solo q needs buff. And maybe revert iron will stridor now. But I think exaustion are good for how they work now (even if they make me nervous often).

It's buffed - Vigil. 😁

You haven't even seen its implementation in the PTB yet. Save your pitchforks for after we've tested it. I'm willing to bet you won't even be able to see the dust over most loops, and being able to see the dust out in the open won't mean much because, well, you're out in the open and vulnerable. Let's wait and see.

indeed.

I can live with the awful perk changes, but they need to chose one or the other for her phase tells.
FOOTSTEPS OR DIRECTIONAL PHASING
WHY BOTH!?

I would prefer dust instead of the directional phasing. Old Freddy had similar (he only moved grass) and you had a non-directional Lullaby. That was OK, although BHVR thought it was to difficult for newer players.
Dust would be fine.

I think the dust is overkill, but I am very much on board with the directional phasing noise. That is one thing that absolutely needs to be implemented.

Old Freddy also wasn’t going to be able to hurt you for at least a few seconds while you got glimpses of him. Spirit just pops up on top of you ready to attack.
Is that really comparable here?

It is a similar mechanic. That was all I was saying. Newer and mediocre players were complaining that they "couldn't see where Freddy came from" even with the directional Lullaby. Something I could never understand, even when I was new.
We don't know how obvious the dust will be. If it's subtle (and with all the grass on some maps) I am totally fine with the directional phase as well. But if it's very obvious, than dust will be enough.
I would be satisfied with her footsteps being well audible, but with sounds constantly broken.... that is not a good idea.

The devs outright said that the dust is there to pinpoint her location. There's no ambiguity in their implementation. The devs either succeed, or they don't. The devs succeeding in this front likely makes Spirit an outright bad killer. This is a more apocalyptic change than the initial Legion nerf (before they adjusted him later on).
