Trying new killers sucks.
I've been trying to play some of the killers I haven't played and its just a stomp fest. For some reason mmr thinks I'm a really good killer even if I only get 3 hooks per match with killers i know. So I try to play a new killer and If they are not a decent level with good perks your at and extreme disadvantage. Your basically an m1 killer with bad perks and add on that keeps messing up because your trying to figure out the power. It feels really bad to try out killers.

Yeah, I was only excited with MMR because of the notion that each Killer would be raised separately and using a unused Killer would be like resetting yourself, so in theory you could play high level with your main killers and go against trash when you switch to a Killer who your inexperienced with (giving a more fair game).

I've been trying to do PH lately and just keep getting destroyed by full meta builds and I have no meta perks on him.
By the time the mmr balances out you'll have already got a decent feel for them and don't really need the help anymore.

The system still takes your average MMR when you're playing a new Killer, then from what I've seen posted here it takes up to ten games for it to start adjusting to that specific, new Killer, which is absolute hell if you ask me.

You have to adjust your expectations if you’re playing a killer for the first time. You shouldn’t expect to get tons of hooks and kills when you’re learning a killer’s power, expect to lose while you get the mechanics down and just take each match as a learning opportunity.

Thats way to long you have a pretty basic understanding of most killers by the so what's the point?

The problem is I do yet I end up with like 1-3 hooks and 12k and thats not even a level for my killer

Individual killer sbmm is only slightly lower than your main killer.
You are expected to be bullied by higher level survivors so they have fun remember 4 wallets > 1🤑

Thats a bad plan because if the killers leave and the implemented bots survivor would be even more boring the best part would be gone.

Their solution to new survivors being set against veteran killers trying a new killer was to instead send the veteran killer playing someone new to get slaughtered by SWF sweat squads because all killers you have are forced to be near each other MMR wise.
Instead of fixing the issue the developers simply made it the killer's problem and called it a day like they always do...
So there's no real point in bothering with new killers until this is changed but I doubt it ever will be, making the advertised individual killer MMR completely meaningless because its tied one way or another to your top mmr killer anyways.

Remember once you go up into a higher colour you can't go down.
So get to that iri 5 then just play your new killer, and most times when using a new character you need a million banked to spent to get some perks.

If Killers had proper individual MMR like they SAID they would it would be fine. But they don't so it's not. I think if you reach very high MMR with one Killer besides Nurse, that indicates you have a proper understanding of the game at least. So other Killers SHOULD be somewhat in your max threshold, but not to the degree they are currently at. The difference should be 400 or something, an 1800 Trickster should have others at around 1400

Reminder, grades and their colors have nothing to do with matchmaking anymore.

Reasons I have played the same 2 killers for about 5 years now

Yes you are correct. But with grades being the benchmark for getting bp at the end of the month. it doesnt matter if you get to red 5 then lose 20 games in a row. You still have your bp saved.
You may get smashed for lots of games, but your bp is saved at "x" colour level. So i save my harder challenges for when i go up a grade.
Just got to gold 5 so do my old school skills challenge. If i lose a match it doesn't affect my grade.

Ah okay I may have misunderstood the intend of the comment. My bad.

I respect that dedication even if you probably could have learned 50 killers all at a competent level in that time.

My mmr is so bs I lose way more than I win or tie and end up with 1 or 2 matches with baby's I shouldn't be playing and then way better players then me again. And this is with killers im good at. The ones I try its straigh bnp and Prove thy self or whatever the gen rush perk is I can't remember if thats right.
Like I've seen and explosion of those to thing lately.

But there comes a point where you don't want to have to sweat hard af just for a 1-2k to play a different killer.

Wonder what happened.

Do not get me wrong, I love my favorite killers. But I am just the type that would get so bored without constantly mixing it up. Back when I was an Overwatch gamer, I one tricked heroes on a rotation. If you looked at my hours, I looked like a really versatile player who could play anything. The truth was I could only play one thing well at a time.
It comes from my fighting game roots. If you weren't playing one or two characters, you sucked at everyone you were playing. But DBD? Idk. It just seems different. I just play them all. And yeah, it is awkward getting the beat down when you are just learning their power and have no idea what is going on. I get it. That phase doesn't last long though. It really doesn't.

And tight behind the highlighted part comes their loophole. "May not be included upon release of this feature"
And since we all know behaviours working speed it might take 12 to 18 months to come up with something. (Or getting scrapped half way through. Rip early game slowdown)

I'm the same way I can only play a killer so much tell I have to play something different and thats my problem I want to play a new killer or learn nurse but if I have to get straight stomped 10+ in a row that sucks.
I just kind of get where he's coming from.
