You shouldn't be able to swap survivor when in lobby!!

I honestly don't know how this isn't a feature yet and I'm not really sure what the argument against this would be?

I know killers cannot swap because of MMR...but why are survivors allowed to swap characters in lobbies.

3 games in a row...my survivor teammates have swapped to another character last second, bringing keys etc.

I hope this is something the devs will bring in soon (unlikely).

I'm aware you could probably just add an item to your current character last second too, but still, come on.......

(Didn't see someone else just posted about this...my bad)

The issue is not swapping, it is the last minute nature of their swap. Survivors need to be locked 10 seconds before killer, in my humble opinion. So very humble that opinion is, by the way.

Aah yes cause everyone knows when there is a hot topic going around talking about other topics becomes highly illegal

Just make it vise versa, restrict survivors from changing anything 20 sec before game starts and allow killer to adjust his build.

Then I'm just going to either leave the lobby or close the game and you get to wait for another survivor.

I guess your're also demanding that chests get removed from the game? How is it any different from a last second swap to a different survivor bringing something in?

Oh and killers complain about this all the time, don't worry, it's not just you.

The entitled killer main vibe is unreal on these forums. Flashlights and keys would literally become dead items overnight, thanks to perks that completely negate their use. Why the heck do you think survivors have to do this in the first place?

I'll compromise with you and say we can have the DbD mobile lobby. No one can switch anything, game starts five seconds after finding all five players. Either play the match or leave the lobby.

How does me saying this is a problem make me a killer main (2,945 hours of gameplay and the majority played as survivor)?

Whenever someone says something is a problem with 1 side, it must mean they belong to the other side, just make your point, doesn't have to be an us vs them thing!

I bring a flashlight 50% of my games and a med kit the other 50%, if the killer sees I have these and brings Frankie's, fair enough(if all survivors have an item I'll unequip cause it's almost certain). If they skip lobby, fair enough, hardly makes the wait much longer for me!

Comparing last second changes to chests....how is that a comparison, honestly should be the only way to get keys anyways, if you're bringing them, says a lot about you as a survivor.

Either way, you guys haven't made points as to why survivors shouldn't be locked into that survivor when you join lobby, you've basically said you just don't want it to happen. Which is fine, it's you opinion on the matter, I just want an actual counter-argument as to why survivors can swap and killers cannot?

It seems too hand-holdy to me.

Part of the asymmetrical nature of the game is being able to see survivor lobby as killer. Survivors being forced to change their lobby to benefit the killer, who already has that advantage, just seems like overkill. I get why people would like it, but I don't think it's necessary.

I did explain why not, I guess you glossed over it? I say again: lock both roles from making any modifications (character, perks, and items/add-ons), or change nothing at all.

Killer players can no longer swap characters after queueing due to each killer’s individual MMR.

You should be able to last second-swap survivors...

But any survivor that has an item is locked out at the 25 second mark.

If Survivors couldn't swap their items in lobby, or even do last second item swaps, I'd sit in a full lobby for 10+ minutes while every Killer that joined would back out just because someone has a key. I can't even tell you how many times I've sat in that exact situation I described where Killers get scared of someone jumping out the hatch and decline to play the video game. RARELY have I actually made it to the actual game when someone in my lobby had a key equipped from the start.

Either keep it so everyone can change their perks, items and characters (Killer already can't do this but it is locked to MMR), or make it so no one can change anything. Although, even in that case I'm sure Killers would still flee the lobby at the sight of a key (and at the sight of TTV, prestige/paid cosmetics, Steam profiles, clever names, e.t.c...) 😶

the logic would be, when someone is ready, (before or in the mandatory final 15 seconds), you can't change anything anymore.
