I think the "third seal" deserves a better buff - see my idea =D
Hello guys, I think the buff that the "Third Seal" will receive will still make it useless, an idea I had that would make it okay would be like this:
-As long as the perk totem is active any survivor who initiates an aura reading will be in the "blind" state after 10 seconds,
-If the totem is removed, all survivors will be in the "blind" state for 40/45/50 seconds
With this change the perk would prevent the use of maps to find totems on the map, or even prevent survs from seeing the aura of killers like Trapper or even Hag herself setting traps at the beginning of the game, and they don't usually go after survivors to hit them would help a lot for them. And you, what do you think?

The perk is fine imo and a great combo with plaything now

Nice, what Killer do you play?

I play clown mainly. Don’t use either perks often but it can be fun if you want to slug and get jump scares

I've never understood the consensus that Third Seal is a bad perk, against a team of solos, it can be completely nuts.

Personally I think it should apply its blind right from the get go. as indieeden7 said, I don't think its a bad perk. It can just be pretty situational. Would be good to see it synergies with other hex perks by hiding them from detectives hunch/maps/counter force right from the start of the match.

Actually I also thought about the idea of working once the match starts, but if the survivor starts Cursed they will know that the "third seal" exists before it has the effect. over the 10 seconds, I agree that I didn't need to, the effect could be immediate.

I don't think perk is bad either, the problem is that it's of dubious usefulness, with my idea, the killers could already use perk thinking about what to do to get better use of it

I would change it so it aplies Oblivious.

You could use knock out instead

I feel that Third Seal shouldn't be a hex perk. It feels like it should be more of a timer perk after hitting a survivor.

Or change blindness to also hide the red stain

The developers' idea is that this perk causes blindness in survivors, and it will be used by players who want to use this function for some purpose, in the old days of the "obsession object" it could be useful for trapper and Hag players, for not reveal where they put their traps, the problem is that they needed to find a surv to activate the perk, if it was automatic activation as I suggest, blindness is not such a bad thing, the problem is the advanced SWFs that play in communication, for those this perk may have a less consistent use.

That's not a buff, that is a huge nerf. But love the thought to a underrated perk.

That's also why people don't like it:
Its only useful against solos but useless against even a 2 man swf.
We really don't need solo stomping perks given how horrible solo queue already is for most people.

In this case, the best way to "reveal" the perk would be similar to others, in that Survivors only know they are Blinded the moment they would have seen an aura (i.e. Bond, OoO, Dark Sense, Empathy, Survivor being downed, etc.).

Blindness needs a buff not the perk

I think blindness should reduce the survivor's fov in addition to avoiding aura reading (like an inverted Shadowborn). That would create more moments of insecurity in loops.

What this person said.

It's actually a Buff, because now the killer doesn't need to look for survs anymore to activate the perk effect, they just have to try to read auras for the effect to start working, I noticed that some people didn't understand the difference, I think it was because I I put that the effect would start 10 seconds after the aura reading, I should have simply put it on immediately when reading auras, it would be easier to understand.

Ahh well either way I prefer it in it's current form but that's me.
