Killers should lose points for camping hooked players
I'm sure I'm not the first to say and I won't be the last. Hooking someone and just standing there is just bad sportsmanship. You get points for making ppl bleed and chasing them. Why just stand there and barely get 10 to 20k points per match when you can get nearly 35k points per match even with one kill. That's my view on it.

Campers already get less BP, so what's the issue?

They do get punished for staying near the hook, it is reflected in the sacrifice emblem.

They do.
I prefer the approach of giving survivors stacking distraction points up to 10k if they stay within 32m of the killer for their entire hook duration.

After a couple years of playing there's no reward for a player being eliminated in the first minute because the killer has a grudge. With so many people disconnecting it's just easy to understand why they would leave. Especially when they lose everything they brought with them to the trials. A few times I've seen someone hooked twice within a minute. Not even a chance to chase. Just hook then stand there. Even people who are brand new no longer want to play because there's no fighting chance like that. I'm just saying its discouraging. Word of mouth helps a community grow. Nobody wants to face the number fighter when they haven't finished training. Idk I just find this all rough to see.

We do.
That said:
It's because that, as things stand, the meta is both really frustrating and, thanks to SWF, often heavily survivor favored. If you find yourself facing a sweatcomp, especially on maps like RPD or Haddonfield, and you aren't playing a top tier killer, you are probably going to be forced to play scummy if you want to get kills. The sheer amount of 'second chance' perks combined with the speed at which a coordinated group can slam out gens makes it easy for killers to feel completely helpless.

Wait, what? You want to reward survivors for throwing the game? Um, I mean, yes! What a great idea. I really like this one. Please, let's add this to the game.

I just played a match as a killer. Level 1 with 1 perk active. Two of the survivors was high rank. I hooked two of them and had the whole team infected and bleeding. Only reason I didn't get a kill was because I didn't camp. Two hooks, no kills, but still gained 22,000 blood points as a level 1 killer. I just don't play scummy. Killing all 4 people quick I've seen a killer only get 18k. Me myself have gotten two kills and chased ppl making them bleed has gotten me nearly 30k blood points. No challenge involved. If I get that again I'll post it. I just can't justify camping someone on a hook.

The most frustrating match I had in recent memory was a Twins game. I got hooked in basement and got rescued (Killer had Charlotted camped up top so they switched back and slugged me, then they’d leave Victor next to me). Any time I got healed up they’d just Victor me back down (none of my teammates took a hit during those exchanges).
This was rinse and repeat until I got hooked. After that I was pretty much camped to death on second hook.

I can 100% guarantee that any killer just face camping someone on the hook couldn't give a toss about their points (they lose emblem points but I'm assuming when you are saying points, you're referring to BP). They want to secure the kill; no more, no less.

If I can get the kill cool but if not I'll get the chase, bleed, breaking generators and other points max out to where I can still get decent blood points. With how long matchmaking takes I actually make the most out of getting points. Getting kills does give points. Just not as much. I get why ppl are frustrated on both sides. Spent too much time playing the game to really get it. No matter how bad the player I just don't camp hooks. Nothing can justify that.

Those are the kind of people who are avoided. Can't be mad if they send friend request and no one accepts. Just how I see it.

Getting the kill justifies it. By definition, I mean. Let's not get fruity.

You have your opinion I have mines. Not getting fruity or whatever. Just simply giving a thought.

The only punishment killers will get for facecamping are de pips and less points.

No, I stated that it was de facto the case by definition. My opinion is irrelevant. The justification for camping is the kill. That is a fact.
Your opinion is that you don't like it. Lol.

Ok there buddy lol. You win.

If a killer is standing right in front of you and or hitting you on hook idk why you don't get Distraction points as survivor tbh
Oh and gens popping while you're being camped by said killer
I think if anything they should make it so that it's less punishing for a survivor to be camped to death because it is a griefing experience whether people like to admit it or not.

Killers lose points for it. I camp sometimes also I think all killers needs to relax sometimes, and you can't have a great whisky while chasing all game. Killer is too much stress and I get enough of that at work.

They already deprive themselves from getting more points and they're left playing statue simulator.

I think you misread. Survivor, who dont kill themself on hook, when the killer camps, should be rewarded.
2 -
Nah, they said "if you stay within 32 meters of the killer."
If they meant the hooked survivor, they would have said if the killer stays within 32 meters.

Unless they bring enough marshmallows for everyone.

You just proved your own argument wrong what? You said killers should lose points for camping when you said they only get 10-20k because of camping.
0 -
Thank you. Exactly

If you say that you get camp and the killer got a 32k bp game im sorry to say this but the killer did not camp and your vision of camping is wrong

There is a simple solution to stop camping and that is to take away the option of the reward. It would be as easy as having a power meter that changes power from the killer to the survivor on hook for a radius around the hook. If the killer is within that radius after a certain time, the killer gets weak and the chances of a hit on a survivor is less, at the same time the survivor has more chance of an unhook. If the killer wants to get the chance of a kill then they have to leave space. Other survivors will take the chance of the save and the killer has more chance of catching somebody else. If the killer is adamant that they want to face camp, then there is a chance that the survivor will escape the hook and the killer will not get the hit.
I'm sure that if killers was forced to play the game, then there would be less tunneling and camping. Note that I have played killer and know how easy it is to get into the habit of taking the easy way to get a kill. I play survivor more, but get more blood points by being a killer and getting the one hook, then being a survivor, doing gens and saves and then escaping. If I want to level up a survivor, I just can just play killer dirty for a few games. However, I have found it much more fun to play the game and chase the survivors, even if I lose the game.

Really? You use a quote, but you dont take the time to read the entire post?
They said "if they stay within 32m of the killer for their entire hook duration." THEIR hook durations means clearly that they are on the hook.
And please dont answer with "but their wording is not perfect, there would be a better way to write this", you misread, it happens, no big deal.
1 -
Thank you. Couldn't have said that better myself in any possible way.

I hardly disagree on that cuz if they should get punished then Survivors should get punished for genrushing and using the offering that Brings them to haddonfield
0 -
Camping and tunneling are the only way to ruin the game when genrushers ruïnes mine.
And i Will keep doing this until killer can swap when they notice genrushed lobby in pre-game lobby.

New matchmaking system makes this complaint no longer worth giving it air.

? Survivors on the hook aren't throwing the game. They're on the hook.
