Pinhead with Franklin's, Hoarder, Undying + Ruin is what every Killer should be.
This is Tru3Talent's Chatterer build and is the most I'm having fun since SBMM. This build is complete with the right amount of detection and slowdown and I keep beating(3Ks or 4Ks) Survivor Teams with the Best perks and Items. I am in love with this build.
The One's I can't beat with this build are the ones who do not pick up their drop items, Does the Gen efficiently and ignore chain hunts entirely. These people are on the minority but still having loads of Fun.

Ohp. Can't be 3k'ing and 4k'ing. Must be "OP". Must be nerfed.
8 -
I got to it first :( and my build is more reliable too
am i salty, no maybe kinda
11 -
Totally balanced to 4k every game! I can't wait for the devs to nerf the ######### out of Pinhead. He is HORRIBLE to face in solo queue and until then I will just continue to suicide on hook against him and this build.
15 -
It does suck when you're the one who starts something and then someone else takes the credit.
2 -
Nah, I'm mostly joking.
I mean, sure I'd love to be recognized but meh, it's just a build. It makes logical sense that the build would be strong and I'm glad other people have sort of proved me right.
4 -
....I think I figured out why he keeps 4K'ing.
13 -
You can run Pinhead without Ruin/Undying. I run BBQ and Corrupt Intervention instead and also 3K or 4K every game (and, unlike said streamer - without using Engineers Fang..).
And well, I highly doubt it should be possible to win basically every game with a certain build or Killer. This will just result in said build getting nerfed (you can expect Engineers Fang to be nerfed anyway, no way the Devs keep this Add-On like it is).
7 -
Took the training wheels Ruin Undying off and you'll see your true performance. 1-2 hooks.
7 -
Annoying?
2 -
Yeah because this killer - especially with this build is even less fun to play against than Thana Legion on a small map with green button addon.
Also sorry for interrupting the killer main circle-jerk in here with my non biased post!
10 -
I actually haven't played against a pinhead using hoarder
0 -
Tbh I'm not sure it's working as intended, but I'm probably wrong and I fail in trading comprehension. When I tried it, I was expecting to get the free injure, but then it wouldn't do anything else. I was actually surprised that chains bounded injured survivors.
Back on topic, this kind of power-creep builds usually don't last very long (see Trickster's death throes etc.)
I also fail to see how a build that nets wins against everything but depip squads could be considered the model of balance to aspire to.
1 -
so you're regularly getting 4ks with this build and don't see a problem with that?
imo franklins/horder working on his power is a big oversight considering he's already annoying enough with double configuration solving add ons
8 -
Currently also rocking franklin's and hoarder, but other two perks are TOTH and plaything which can be an annoying combo if TOTH isn't destroyed instantly.
Also trying to go for the box first which is apparently not an acceptable thing to do based on the last few matches I've had.
1 -
Thrill is being nerfed soon to not give you the notification though :(

Also @ topic 3k/4k every game shouldn't be what every killer should be. 2k is what the devs aim for so that's what every killer should be; nothing more, and also nothing less.
Pinhead suffers from being a lovely little solo q stomper and vs coordinated teams who can figure out who to solve the box he tragically begins to flop.
5 -
Pinhead is a random team stomper so good overall.
0 -
Horders kinda a waste if you double stack the solving time.
Honestly it's kinda funny how you see so many people want the killer nerfed or the build gutted. Like you want Franklin's and hoarder nerfed? What a joke lol.
I dunno iv versed quite alot of pins even with the fang and it's never felt oppressing or OP and usually that killer only wins because people give up against it.
It's just annoying strong killers arent allowed or new perk synergies with certain killers shouldn't be allowed. Like come on, not every killer should be weak against good survivors. If you're bad at the game obviously a strong killer will be good against you. I see people that just run forwards and dont look behind them and call for nerfs... there should be strong killers as well as weaker ones. And useless perks shouldn't be nerfed because they work on 1 killer.
1 -
I think it is supposed to work like that. The Add-On mentions healthy Survivors and later a "them" indicating that the effect applies to those Survivors.
I also think it would be kinda weak if you would not spawn additional Chains on Injured Survivors, it would be like Legion - a very easy first Hit/Injure and after that no real use for your power.
Could be possible that this was an oversight.
1 -
sadly they will ignore that point like they did with Deathslinger and dump him in the trash because of "FUN".
"fun" boils down to being able to make all the calls and only fail if you, the survivor, make the mistake while the killer just reacts like a good little robot.

Source? Not saying you’re lying, I just want to see the official statement/changes.

Does Franklin's Demise knock the puzzle box out of their hands? It makes sense but for some reason I am under the impression it doesn't work.
I know Hoarder works with it though, so logically Franklin's Demise should too.
Also: >not using Plaything
I like it as a semi-slowdown perk. It forces Survivors off gens or risk getting destroyed. Especially on indoor maps where it's much harder to see you coming.

(I summarised the entire ptb)
1 -
Franklin's does work. You don't pick the item up automatically though, and must press space where you hit them after the animation is over.
1 -
Not everyone thinks the way you do, suiciding against Pinhead just screws over the rest of your team, they might enjoy going against him.
And sure, Engineers Fang is arguably a bit op right now, having barely any downside to such a huge upside, but still.
Also, I thought Pinhead is generally considered to be a bit weak, or have people changed their mind on that?
3 -
Neat, thanks!
Does that affect chain hunts? It ends on everyone except for whomever picked it up I believe. Does the Survivor who had the box get a chain hunt or does it reset to 0% chain hunt progress?
0 -
Yeah basically pinhead is a solo que casual destroyer. Meaning the build works great vs. most decent to average solo q teams, but when it's against a competent SWF the build is not that good. So as usual strong build vs. solos, but not SWF. But still some people say pinhead is "weak".
1 -
That one I don't know, I'll see if I can test it tonight if nobody else gets an answer first
1 -
WHAT? The whole point of Thrill was to know when they were cleansing the totem; at least I personally considered it a tracking perk.
3 -
I think it's OP. I don't say OP lightly especially when it's killer related. I have played against this multiple times and it felt like the game was over before it began. I am starting to do just fine with Pinhead without both of these perks honestly I just use his 3 perks with Lethal and it GG. The only thing I feel is OP is god nurse, All seeing with MYC, Liprose Litchen with MYC on demo. This is based off me using them and getting the feeling of to EZ no chance for them.
1 -
Low tier survivors think he is op but swf destroy him and people that understand to bait him away from the box in chase.
5 -
try a simple but mean build
play bubba with agitation iron grasp Franklins..... and insidious with a basement offering.
you know what to do next :)
And remember if you feel bad or if the survivors are salty just tell them/yourself that it's just a game and your supposed to have fun and if you do what makes you have fun aka basement bubba then that's fine and they need to respect your right to do what you want as you respect what they want.
1 -
I’m confused…how do you ignore a chain hunt? The chains are constantly harassing you, pulling you off gens.
1 -
Any more than 2k is over performing and the killer gets a cd.
Yet anything below 2k usually doesnt get buffed for a few years
4 -
Ruin only works if you pressure gens. I've played against a ton of face campers with ruin and they would get no value from it.
1 -
If you are playing on a smaller map and you know the pin head is running hoarder. Once you pick up the box go into a locker. When you are in a locker chains will not spawn. Once pin head is away solve the box. If pin head is in a chase with another survivor or picking up a survivor solve the box.
I've played against survivors that do this and I've done it in solo so I know this works
2 -
It happens. People think alike, and bigger streamers will make these things more well known than smaller ones. RedsGamingGears learned how to properly play Pinhead significantly before Dowsey did for instance.
Also, Pinhead's one of the few killers I'd consider using Ruin Undying over Ruin Pop. His power removes at least one person from doing gens or totems, so he has higher compatibility with it than most. It's worth the gamble in his case.
0 -
I figured out those perks were good on him day one, but hoarders is more of a training wheels perk if anything. You can reliably find the box fast without the use of those, but yeah franklins does help. I wrote a large and first guide on pinhead and I mean I am considered the number 1 pinhead in the world because I called dibs on the title.

I thought SWF was cheating according to killers on this forum? So you have to cheat to beat it? I mean, wow that sounds pretty OP...
Why should it? play Nurse or Blight if you wanna be strong. You can't choose a subpar killer and then complain about survivors. I swear, killers think the best killers should be over powered and the worst should be balanced lol... Not how that works.
0 -
So thats your answer for killers who struggle? Play the current meta.
0 -
Yes. I am not saying we can't buff them. Some killers are weak and hard to play but Nurse should not be the standard. Honestly, the fact that survivors are all the same and killers are different gives us a great balance opportunity to have some killers be weak and easy for noobs and others to be strong and hard for the high level that way the game can be enjoyed at all levels of play. No 2 killers will ever have the same skill and it would be unfair if the ones that are harder are no stronger then the ones that are easy.

I had a rather tragic match against one when I had equipped the challenge to escape one with Élodie while holding an Ultra Rare item and I had put on my goblin chest build. I sure did love getting tunnelled trying to find an item to begin with.
0 -
Same could be said about killers that complain about deadhard tbh
0 -
It might help if you stopped suiciding on hook.
7 -
I don't feel that certain killers should exist to be bullied. In an ideal game all killers should be viable at high mmr but that is FAR from the case. Right now we have like 3 killers out of 22. Maybe even less once the spirit nerf goes live. Why should we waste our time lvling up/learning weak killers if we can't use them past a certain rank? It's a broken system.
1 -
Am I the only one who has never legit ran Ruin/Undying? I personally find them to be overkill. They kill the challenging aspect of playing killer for me. I’d rather run Plaything + Lullaby so it feels rewarding to make gens more challenging for survivors.
Just curious.
4 -
Well, I don't even have Undying although I did just buy Blight. Maybe I'll give it a shot after someone has the teachable but for now I just run Ruin all by its lonesome.
0 -
I don't running more than 1 hex is a waste of time
1 -
Ruin doesn't mean a free win. You have to pressure a lot still. Some teams will leave it up all game because it's easier to crank out gens than look for Ruin. It's nowhere near training wheels, and it never has been.

"and people that understand to bait him away from the box in chase." you didn't read it all.
