Will you stop playing Slinger IF the PTB nerfs comes live?

    Yup.

Both him and Wraith are getting pretty hefty blanket nerfs, not because of their performance (neither are more than mid tier on any list you can name), but because you have to play a little differently against them, and Entity forbid that this is required.

What is annoying is that no other aspects of their kit have really been buffed to compensate. All you've done really is take a 'B' tier killer and make it a 'C' tier killer.

Wraith will still be Wraith, just even weaker against groups that know how to work around him - but Slinger was already a little clunky, and this is going to make him annoying to play.

If I am in the mood to play him, I will. But honestly, I would almost rather just boot up Overwatch and play Hog if I want some fps hook action. I will be playing him A LOT less.

    Bingo.

Honestly, 'Slinger needs a complete, Bubba level rework. He was already really, really clunky to play.

I'll probably play him more after his nerf. Because when I tried him on the PTB, it actually felt like I could outplaying people. And not just me instantly shooting without them even being able to do anything about it.

I most likely will. Which sucks because he is one of my main killers in rotation. Guess I just gotta replace him with Nemesis.

I never played him in the first place due to console.

Funny. I, too, can string together random sarcastic sentences to make it sound like I'm right and everyone else is wrong.

I will test him out and if he is not fun for me anymore then I am dropping him which is a shame because he's my top 3 killers to play as.

You said quickscoping doesn't take skill, I said I disagree. On tiles and loops he plays almost the same, except you no longer can quickly react to sudden survivor movement and instead have to preplan every shot you want to make. He became slow. Before you'd see a glimpse of survivor and hit them, if you're fast and precise enough, which drastically shortens the chase because you deny them access to a loop. Now, after changes, it's almost impossible to hit someone in between loops, because whenever survivors see you raising your gun, they start to move so chaotic that it's too hard to predict, better just not even try. Also they buffed his zoning more, now garbage slingers have even more of excuse to never shoot and hold m2 until they catch up. Only ones who got hurt by nerfs are the rare good slingers.

Yes. And i am thinking about not putting anymore money on the killers char. I think it is more rational if i gonna continue to play this game to play surv and spend money there...

Most likely I'll switch to trickster cos he's more fun for me now. Slinger with the ADS changes make him kinda dead.

No, quickscoping was. And spamming was a side effect of it.

I was think8ng about buyinh him since im close to reaching 9000 shards again, so i was between spirit clown twins plague trickster and slinger.

Welp,i aint playing trickster, i aint atracted to the playstyle of the Twins nor spirit at all.

Now to the slinger nerfs? That checks out another one, im done with these "killer dependant add ons" kind of killer.

Probably won't quit playing him. I will definitely play him less though. His quickscope was the fun part! :(

There's about a dozen fps professionals who would laugh off your statement. When games like counterstrike, valorant, apex etc has many of these mechanic's baseline you make it a real hard sell. If your quickscoping it means your familiar with the position of your shot and don't need to correct your aim as its already locked on the position you aim from. How this translates to a lack of skill boggles the mind. The muzzle velocity on the harpoon is almost as slow as a derringer never mind the range which is trash. All of these add up to make slinger already frustrating to play throw survivor janky blinking movement, add a dash of performance issue on other platform's, latency on your opponents end and you have blinking survivors. Then I'm not going to even get into the map design big maps a plenty with some horrendous indoor map's that even further caps your power. People like you want to give survivor's more time to react. You gave a slow low map pressure killer los that's on you. You shouldn't get the opportunity to turn that corner or condemn the slinger to use what's is easily one of the worst ads aiming movement I have ever seen.

So it took no skill to land a quick scope? And it took less skill than spamming ADS?

Yes, slinger on the PTB was extremely clunky and unfun.

So yes, I wasted my time on p3'ing him and getting all perks.

I just hate the fact that they are making him have a 32 meter terror radius. He was supposed to be stealthy and attack from afar.

There are multiple things that are now really bad on slinger.

The biggest issue is his terror radius being increased, survivors will now just hold W before slinger can even get close to them and thanks to his limited range he won't be able to get a hit just as fast as he did before. There was simply no reason to increase his terror radius.

The second change that removed quick scoping made using his power feel super terrible, and survivors also have a lot of time to react now. Also turning with aim down sights is super clunky and annoying to use, they should have removed the camera movement restriction.

Addon's still mostly suck, reload is obvious choice.

So there is basically no reason to play the killer, even trickster will do better than slinger.

I tried to remain positive in the changes and hoping they weren't as drastic as they sounded and they are, in fact, worse than what I initially assumed.

I'm trying at learning other Killers, but either they seem far too frustrating or far too easy and I just liked Slinger for having a little bit of both, but I guess we just can't have nice things...

We already knew the changes were solely to please survivors. Just read the wording on the dev blog for Deathslinger. It's all about the perspective of the survivor and none from the perspective of the killer.
